Jay was WAY over weight. I didn't starve the kid, I just insisted he eat the meals I cooked and have healthy snacks. How can a kid learn what's good for him if no one shows him? I remember one night we had ribs.......HE was not only covered in sauce, it was all over the bathroom door after I sent him to clean up. NOT just the door knob, on the bottom of the door........INSIDE....how he did that is STILL a mystery to me.

I must admit my son eats way too much junk and not enough fruits and veggies, but he isn't obese. I do try to limit it somewhat though. He begs for sodas, and I do buy them occassionally but he's gotten used to grabbing a bottle of water out of the fridge or getting a glass of orange juice. If he was overweight (and he's not even close, he's pretty slim) you can get your ass he'd get NO junk food at all! Period! No matter how much he whined!

LOL.........we had my lover's nephew for a month one summer and that kid found that he liked fresh fruit.........after he discovered that Uncle Mark didn't stock chips and crap in the house...........and, unlike his mother, I could use the stove for meals, not just the drive thru.

Good points, all. I don't understand how THAT was news. Although, that kid's parents should be jailed. If that's not abuse, what is. I LOVED the Mother........."He won't eat fruit and vegetables".....If she'd quit stuffing him LIKE a sausage WITH sausages, he might get hungry enough to eat healthy food. The poor kid doesn't know any better. That child weighs more than I do, and I'm NOT under-fed.

No doubt. I just find that his comments about McDonalds is worldwide freaking news. And it's not necessarily that I disagree with him. However, it was pertaining to the case of the obeses 8 year old and them wanting to take him away from his mother due to abuse (the abuse being over feeding him). And PC makes a minor comment about McDonald's should be banned and the whole world won't shut up about it. And frankly, some of the food that the English eat should be banned as well, if that's your line of thinking.
