Cool? For who? We appreciate comments when appropriate but we don't want to scroll through a bunch of content that says "As I clicked on as the reason, this is a personal attack".
If Admin's not satisfied with the system I'm sure they could get it changed. Anyone can add a note to their report.
I sometimes add a note consisting of a quoted snippet, when the TOS violation is in the middle of a long post, so that Admin doesn't have to waste time reading the whole thing.
90+ % of TOS violations I report are quite obvious and it would be a waste of time to be forced to add a note.
It would be cool if users had to make some kind of comment before they could send it in,,,,,in otherwords we wouldn't be able to click send the report unless there was a comment attached to it

then the number of reports would drop considerably.
And what exactly would that accomplish?
Aside from allowing those who can't post according to the rules get away with posting something they shouldn't have.
I'm not an enabler. Sorry.
What?? That's crazy talk!!
...if people would follow the TOS when posting...
Honestly, if people would follow the TOS when posting then I think that would drop the reports significantly. However, since there’s always going to be someone breaking the rules, I guess we’ll just have to deal with all those darn reports that are so easy to do.
The IHUB system of reporting TOS violations seems to work pretty well and I don't know that Admin receives an excessive number of reports. Do you know differently?
Does Admin get an excessive # of reports ?
Maybe Admin intends it to be easy to report posts so that potential TOS Violations can be addressed, rather than a more cumbersome process.
I bet if iHub made it just a tiny bit more difficult like that, then the number of reports would drop considerably.
To iHub admin only:
On the Boards here if one wanted to get a post removed you can do so with 3 clicks of the mouse to report it with no explanation and then forget about it.
On other sites 2 clicks or more takes you to the type of report, gives you 11 choices of “type of report” , 3rd click to choose the type….. then requires you to give a few additional details, to explain….then after you entered the explanation you click “report” to file your complaint.
You cannot send a report without adding at least a brief explanation.

Posting on 1 board.
I have recently found out that because of previous spam violations etc. that it could be considered inappropriate to post more than 30 times a day on the same stock board even if it is one of the most popular boards on iHub and even if the posts are part of an ongoing discussion and the content and intention of the posts are completely within iHub TOS.
So is there any way for a premium member to be able to quickly assess how far along he is to his allocated posting restriction on a specific board without having to scan his post history daily to ensure that he or she complies to iHub requirements so that he or she does not trigger sanctions
No. Posts are deleted if they violate TOS.
If iHub admin get many complaints about posts on a specific board from the same complainant , do they take that into account when they make the decision whether or not to delete a post?

I don't know how many reports Admin gets that are questionable and uneccesary, but of the actually deleted posts about 99.9 % violate IHub's TOS posting rules.
We've covered this previously here and on Q&A

Any chance you could put the next button closer to the Like button?
If you’ve ever watched Soccer , then you know the act that goes on if someone is elbowed or tripped and he/she falls to the ground rolling around in agony trying to convince the referee that the offender should receive a penalty. One way the league could get rid of this fakery would be to put in place a system where the complainer would or would not get satisfaction but aside from that…the one rolling on the ground would have to sit out the game for 2 minutes just to verify that he/she is okay. That is not a penalty to the injured player , who could return to the game in 2 minutes or more……but it would most definitely cut down on the amount of these kind of false mishaps.

I would still turn on that option, but it isn't as important after finding this solution to get the desktop view on my Galaxy Tab A
https://investorshub.advfn.com/boards/read_msg.aspx?message_id=170798276
If I had the option to add my Mailbox to my Favorites page, I'd turn it on.
The Favorites tabs could add a Mailbox option, for example:
All Mailbox Boards People Links
Mailbox would include sections for Private Messages and Public Replies, when they contain messages. I put Mailbox before Boards so that you know which Boards have Replies.
That would reduce my need to use the hamburger menu for navigation. I'd only need a one-click option to return to Favorites while reading messages.
Thank You!! With the latest update to the Favorites page I notice that I can Reset the unread count of a single board.
The time of last post is also very nice!!
Okay, what did you do because none of my tweaks worked?
I haven't figured out that one yet. Something may to do with us forcing no overflow, but it should matter there.
Hamburger menu ?
I don't mind except that I need to use the hamburger menu to get back to favorites or my mailbox
Galaxy Tab A. After the latest update my tablet is stuck with the mobile styles. I hope that changes. I'm considering getting a bigger tablet just for IHub
I don't mind except that I need to use the hamburger menu to get back to favorites or my mailbox, and it is slow to load the hamburger menu. I'm sure performance tuning will be continuous.
I'm a programmer. I understand why the changes needed to happen. You cannot be compatible with all devices using obsolete technology. The changes will never end. Never ever. It's the nature of modern software.
Is that on your phone?
Looks perfect on a REAL computer.
I fixed it!
You guys ruined my Intro/iBox.
I worked several days on it but it's all screwed up now.
Here is the link:
https://investorshub.advfn.com/Elite-Pharmaceuticals-Inc-ELTP-15170
There are now HUGE EMPTY SPACES to the right of BOTH the "Products & Pipeline" box AND the "Financials" box.
But when you go to "Manage" the Intro/iBox it looks like it's SUPPOSED to look like. Makes no sense!
You guys CLEARLY did something about a week ago which screwed it all up.
Do you NOT see the giant blank space to the right of my "Products & Pipeline" box AND the "Financials" box.
https://investorshub.advfn.com/Elite-Pharmaceuticals-Inc-ELTP-15170
And I didn't change ANYTHING. Those spaces are supposed to be filled in with all that info which is now SHOVED all the way to the left of each box.
The iHub web developers screwed something up in the system to make it appear like this about a week ago and they haven't fixed it yet.
The two boxes look PERFECT in the "Manage" section like I designed it with no giant blank spaces but is COMPLETELY DIFFERENT in the actual Intro.............so I can't just go in and fix it. It CAN'T be fixed. Only iHub can't fix this mistake they made.
Embarrassing.
Intro looks ok to me. Although I usually hide them, so then they look even better !
Also need a follow-up on this when you get a chance.

Thanks!
You know I'm right about having the option to have your sentiment set permanently for each individual stock until you decide to change it.
Looking forward to this update in the coming days/weeks.
And don't try and take credit for it when you tell the web developers about this idea.
Thanks.
You don't. You can completely ignore them if you don't wish to express a sentiment with your post.
Why in the H-E double hockey sticks do we have to click on the Bullish or Bearish button EACH and EVERY time we post.
Why in the H-E double hockey sticks do we have to click on the Bullish or Bearish button EACH and EVERY time we post.
If I use my 15 free daily posts that's 15 unnecessary clicks EVERY SINGLE DAY.
Shouldn't there be an option where you can have it set PERMANENTLY until you decide to change your sentiment?
People's sentiment don't change with every post. Lol.
ALSO, I've noticed less and less people clicking on their sentiment since the initial release because it's become a HASSLE to click on one of the buttons EVERY single time you post.
Thanks!

I think message numbering on the main page should be brought back as well . It was a handy tool for quick reference
Well I guess it's just us 3 that would like this...no meta value
It has whatever value that posters and readers who choose to utilize it give it.
Per visit doesn’t mean anything here. And keeping record of every post that every user visits is expensive, and then we have the issue of how to count views from users who are not logged in.
Like I said, quality of data.
The bullish/bearish feature on a post. I've never been able to figure out the value of that unless it has some metadata significance for iHub.
When I post and I'm neither pumping or criticising I don't have a "neutral" button....having a NONE buttone that doesn't work means nothing but misleading data.
Did I not push it because I'm neutral or because I don't care or didn't bother?
You could change it to pumper/basher and neutral just as well
It encourages you to post, it's feedback. Most people like to believe that they are talking to someone and it also lets you know that there may be many lurkers reading the board and not just the few that post.
Also , like "Facts..." said earlier it would be preferable to only count once per visit and not allow it to be triggered by someone with their finger on refresh
What is the value of doing that?
If there is real value, then the count should only include the number of different members who viewed it, and not count multiple reads from the same member or any reads from the author.
Otherwise, it would just turn into a game to see who can “read” a post the most times in a day.
It is not about the space, it’s about the quality of the data.
I like that idea. There is plenty of room in the post header when reading the content of the post. That information is obviously tracked already.
Maybe in the future.
On the sock boards, is there anyway you could put a counter on each post that would indicate how many "reads' a post gets?
When banned from a board , this is all the notice/response you get....and it only shows if you try to post....
"You have already reached the 0 post per day limit placed on you for this board.
The limitation is until further notice."
As a relative Newbie here and a "Freebe"....Not very professional from iHub IMO
Not currently planned.
Post Counter...any chance you could turn off the post counter for Freebs during Happy Hour so that we still have some free posts left after 5PM ?
Obviously you didn't read my post...
That's why there's a "Hide Board Intro" option.
HOWEVER, this option is USELESS when the Board Intro is ALREADY hidden at the bottom of 50 posts!
AGAIN, the iBox/Intro needs to be placed back at the top! If you don't want to see it.......you use the "Hide Board Intro" option.
Nah....All that nonsense is better at the bottom. For the occasional desire to look at it scrolling down or clicking "about" is easy. Not as is though it changes very often.
Post Counter...any chance you could turn off the post counter for Freebs during Happy Hour so that we still have some free posts left after 5PM ?
Could be fun.
Thanks
