God, I know that you gave Your best for me. Please forgive me for falling short; for the sin in my life; for taking You for granted. I want to give back my best to You. Thank you for the special gifts You have given...the gift of Your only begotten Son, of eternal life, of fellowship with You, of hope for a future, of Your presence, of all You do and all You give, of Your unconditional love. I praise You and lift You high today, as I celebrate the birth of Jesus. I love You. Merry Christmas.
Dear God, Thank you for always being with me. Please help me, and remind me, not to react to situations in a fleshly manner. When I am faced with vicious gossip or wrongdoing against me or something I strongly disagree with, please help me to remain silent when I should and to speak with calm wisdom when called for, but to never lose my temper or just "react." I want to act like a Christian should act. I want to be a testimony for my Lord and Savior. I want to remain faithful in whatever circumstance. May You be glorified. Thank You so much for Your guidance, patience, and love. In Jesus' name I pray, amen.
"And the heavens declare the glory of God; And the firmament shows His handiwork." Dear God, I praise you, Creator of the universe, father of mankind, sustainer of all. May you be glorified through your creation and through my life. Please minister through me to the people around me. Help me to be a witness to the truth of your Word and your work. In Jesus' name I pray, amen.
How to start your day--Dear Lord, Thank you for this day. Thank you for my being able to see, to hear, to speak, to move about this morning. I'm blessed because you are a forgiving and understanding God. You have done so much for me. I have witnessed your hand of blessing, your miraculous power in my life and the lives of those I love, and you just keep on blessing me. Forgive me this day for everything I have done, said or thought that was not pleasing to you. I ask now for your forgiveness. Please keep me, my family, and my church family safe from all danger and harm. Help me to start this day with a positive and Christ-focused attitude and plenty of gratitude. Please clear my mind of distractions so that I can hear from you and please direct my steps today. Thank you so much, in Jesus' name, amen.

Elected Leaders--Dear Father in Heaven, Please open my eyes and speak to my heart…and enlighten every one of your children today…that every American who claims the name of Christ as a Christian will vote as the Holy Spirit leads. I pray that the right people will be elected to lead our great nation. I pray that your people, who are called by your name, will turn from their sin and fall on their faces before you, and stand for what is right, so that you will be glorified and pleased and may bless us and have mercy upon our country. Please give us wisdom for this day. Help us to have clear minds, loving hearts, grateful attitudes, and the mind of Christ as we make decisions and as we live each day, looking for that glorious return you have promised. In the name of Jesus I pray, amen.
Protection--"Be self-controlled and alert. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour" (1 Pet. 5:8). Dear Lord, I am so aware of how Satan picks at me and tries to trip me all the time. I know there are spiritual dangers around me. Please help me to remain alert and to be under the Holy Spirit's control at all times. I want to draw near to you, so the devil will flee. Please protect me and my family from harm and evil. Thank you for your love, concern, and protection. In Jesus' name, amen.

Students--Father of Light and Wisdom, thank you for giving me a mind that can know and a heart that can love.
Help me to keep learning every day of my life--no matter what the subject may be. Let me be convinced that all knowledge leads to you and let me know how to find you and love you in all the things you have made.
Encourage me when the studies are difficult and when I am tempted to give up Enlighten me when my brain is slow
and help me to grasp the truth held out to me.
Grant me the grace to put my knowledge to use in building the kingdom of God on earth so that I may enter the kingdom of God in heaven.
In the Savior's name I pray, amen.
Peace--Dear God, I need to feel your peace in my life today. You have promised peace, and I have experienced your perfect peace beyond all understanding in times of life that are just plan hard. There is so much going on in this world, in my country, my community; so many prayer requests and needs in my church family; and special needs in my own family. Please continue to touch us, have mercy upon us, guide us and protect us. Please help us to feel your presence and experience your peace in the midst of it all. Thank you, loving and merciful God. In the Savior's name I pray, amen.
Your convictions define who you are…
They guide your decisions and determine your character. Those who live by their convictions are not swayed by their personal preferences or popular opinions. They live by scriptural principles. Strong, biblically-based values are essential for everyone who wants to lead a godly life. But what is a conviction? It’s a belief we hold to be true, no matter what. In today’s culture, you and I need to base our standards on biblical truth. When we are firmly anchored in God’s Word, we're ready to face whatever challenges come our way.

Workplace--
Dear God, Today I reach toward Heaven and ask you, and depend on you, to be the source of victory in my workplace and my life. May your banner wave over my work and life so that you might receive glory. I know that you bring love and joy into my life, and I am a better and richer person because of it. Help me to share your love and life with others. I love you. In Jesus name, amen
Stewardship--
Dear God, You own even the cattle on a thousand hills. You made everything...Oh Mighty Creator...and all is yours. You have provided abundantly for your creation. I'm sorry that we have not taken care of so many of the resources you have given us. I'm sorry for our complacency. I am thankful for your perfect plan and creation. I am thankful for your provisions and your ever presence. Please grant wisdom and knowledge that I will be the biblical and wise steward that you want me to be. Thank you for taking care of me and my family. Thank you for your blessings upon us. Thank you for your protection and your haven within the body of Christ. I love you, Father. In Jesus' name, amen.

Marriage
Dear God, I praise you today for who you are. I come to you on behalf of all married couples. You instituted the family. You made a precious connection when you created Eve from Adam's rib. They would be mates and help meet one another's needs, raise a family, and oversee your creation. I pray for a hedge of protection around every married couple today. Please work in their hearts and guide them to think of one another as they should. May their priorities be straight, with you at the center and their marriage above other relationships. May they guard their families and be good stewards of all you have bestowed--and will bestow--upon them. Strengthen the marriage relationship and give power, wisdom, and guidance to each partner to stay on guard against the temptations of the world--the things and people that Satan would throw at them in an effort to destroy their marriage and the family. Bless the union. Work in and through these couples and families to minister to one another and others, exhort the body of Christ, and glorify you. May we be godly examples to the world. In the name of Jesus Christ, the husband and head of the church, I pray, amen.
Great are You Lord, and most worthy of praise. You are a mighty fortress. I clap my hands and sing praises of joy before you, most awesome Lord on high. I know that you, God, reign over the nations and you, God, are seated on your holy throne. And from that throne you may speak words of vengeance or words of protection, and it is done. May you be exalted. Please protect your people and help us to be united for you as we live and minister to one another in this world. In Jesus' name, amen.
Dear God, This morning I remembered that children's song that goes "I am a promise. I am a possibility. I am a promise, with a capital P. I am a great big bundle of potentiality..." In Jesus, I am a great big bundle of potentiality. I pray that you would fill me with your wisdom and guide me in your will. I pray that I will be obedient to you and keep my focus on you. I ask this so that I will reach the potential you have planned for me. In Jesus' precious name I pray, amen.
Dear God, I worship you and lift up my praise to you, my Creator and Sustainer. Thank you for showing me the things that bind me on this earth. Open my eyes that I may always be mindful of what may hold me in bondage. Help me to resist the things I should. Help me to steer clear of hazards and to draw strength from your Holy Spirit when temptations are enticing me. Please help me to break free...and to experience total freedom in you. Thank you, my gracious God. In the name of my Savior I pray. Amen.
Dear God, My heart is moved today for people who just cannot seem to find their place. They feel lost, empty, out of place, floundering. Some are discouraged; some are depressed; some are anxious; some are hopeful; some are searching; some have given up. I pray that today will be a day of breakthrough for them. I pray that the right job, the right ministry opportunity, the right words, the right whatever it is they need will be there for them today. I pray that you will open doors and lead them through. I pray for encouragement and guidance. I pray for joy, excitement and blessings of the heart and spirit. I pray for contentment, initiative, passion, thankfulness in their attitudes today. May they look to you and receive the gifts you have in store for them. And may you, oh wonderful gracious God, be glorified. In Jesus' name I pray, amen.
Dear God, Bless my pastor today, and all the Christian leaders who serve you in the face of challenges each and every day. Make me a blessing to them, to others, and to you. Help me to stand for you, and to support brothers and sisters in Christ everywhere, whether at church, in my neighborhood, workplace, school, or around the world. Provide the means and the knowledge so that I do what is needed and what you desire in ministry to them. In Jesus' name I pray, Amen.
This began my day nicely - I hope that it does the same for you!
Don't start reading this one until you've got more than 3 or 4 minutes to just "scan" over it. It deserves some time for reflection.
GOD LIVES UNDER THE BED
I envy Kevin. My brother Kevin thinks God lives under his bed. At least that's what I heard him say one night.
He was praying out loud in his dark bedroom, and I stopped to listen, "Are you there, God?" he said. "Where are you? Oh, I see. Under the bed..."
I giggled softly and tiptoed off to my own room. Kevin's unique perspectives are often a source of amusement. But that night something else lingered long after the humor. I realized for the first time the very different world Kevin lives in.
He was born 30 years ago, mentally disabled as a result of difficulties during labor. Apart from his size (he's 6-foot-2), there are few ways in which he is an adult.
He reasons and communicates with the capabilities of a 7-year-old, and he always will. He will probably always believe that God lives under his bed, that Santa Claus is the one who fills the space under our tree every Christmas and that airplanes stay up in the sky because angels carry them.
I remember wondering if Kevin realizes he is different. Is he ever dissatisfied with his monotonous life?
Up before dawn each day, off to work at a workshop for the disabled, home to walk our cocker spaniel, return to eat his favorite macaroni-and-cheese for dinner, and later to bed.
The only variation in the entire scheme is laundry, when he hovers excitedly over the washing machine like a mother wi th her newborn child.
He does not seem dissatisfied.
He lopes out to the bus every morning at 7:05 , eager for a day of simple work.
He wrings his hands excitedly while the water boils on the stove before dinner, and he stays up late twice a week to gather our dirty laundry for his next day's laundry chores.
And Saturdays-oh, the bliss of Saturdays! That's the day my Dad takes Kevin to the airport to have a soft drink, watch the planes land, and speculate loudly on the destination of each passenger inside. "That one's goin' to Chi-car -go!" Kevin shouts as he claps his hands.
His anticipation is so great he can hardly sleep on Friday nights.
And so goes his world of daily rituals and weekend field trips.
He doesn't know what it means to be discontent.
His life is simple.
He will never know the entanglements of wealth of power, and he does not care what brand of clothing he wears or what kind of food he eats. His needs ha ve always been met, and he never worries that one day they may not be.
His hands are diligent. Kevin is never so happy as when he is working. When he unloads the dishwasher or vacuums the carpet, his heart is completely in it.
He does not shrink from a job when it is begun, and he does not leave a job until it is finished.. But when his tasks are done, Kevin knows how to relax.
He is not obsessed with his work or the work of others. His heart is pure.
He still believes everyone tells the truth, promises must be kept, and when you are wrong, you apologize instead of argue.
Free from pride and unconcerned with appearances, Kevin is not afraid to cry when he is hurt, angry or sorry. He is always transparent, always sincere. And he trusts God.
Not confined by intellectual reasoning, when he comes to Christ, he comes as a child. Kevin seems to know God - to really be friends with Him in a way that is difficult for an "educated" person to grasp. God seems like his closest companion.
In my moments of doubt and frustrations with my Christianity I envy the security Kevin has in his simple faith.
It is then that I am most willing to admit that he has some divine knowledge that rises above my mortal questions
It is then I realize that perhaps he is not the one with the handicap . I am. My obligations, my fear, my pride, my circumstances - they all become disabilities when I do not trust them t o God's care
Who knows if Kevin comprehends things I can never learn? After all, he has spent his whole life in that kind of innocence, praying after dark and soaking up the goodness and love of God.
And one day, when the mysterie s of heaven are opened, and we are all amazed at how close God really is to our hearts, I'll realize that God heard the simple prayers of a boy who believed that God lived under his bed.
Kevin won't be surprised at all!
When you receive this, say a prayer. That's all you have to do. There is nothing attached. This is powerful.
Prayer is one of the best free gifts we receive. There is no cost, but a lot of rewards.
God I pray that you take me out of my comfort zone. I pray that you break my heart to pieces for the poor and needy so that I will be driven beyond belief to look after them like you would. Father, forgive me for being so self centered. Forgive me for being all about me, myself and I. Forgive me for my sometimes stupid, ridiculous, religious opinions about absolute rubbish while people that you love and cherish suffer due to my inaction and selfish, consumer attitude. God forgive me and set me free from mammon and raise me up into a person of compassion and love like you are. I pray this in the name of Jesus. Amen.
Dear God, Today I feel led to pray for Christians to stand up for their beliefs when confronted with moral issues. I pray that we will know when, where, and what to say and do to let our voices be heard. I pray that we will be involved in our communities, schools, governments as possible. I pray that we will have the courage and rely on the power of the Holy Spirit to do what is right, what is biblical, and what honors you. Thank you for the guidelines you have given us through the Holy Bible. Thank you for the leaders you have provided to inspire, teach, and guide us. Thank you for all of your provisions and blessings. With love and appreciation I come to you, Father. In the name of Jesus, amen.
Oh God, How mighty are your works in all the earth! I want to thank you for the times you have made Your presence felt in a mighty way. Please, prick the hearts of mankind that we might seek you with all we are and that we might experience a mighty revival among believers and a great awakening among those who have yet to believe and accept you as their God. I praise you, Lord, and want to bless you with my life. I love you. Amen.
Dear God,
Please bless me with a million dollars. TIA.
Dear Father in Heaven, This day I look up and remember how it is you who created all and who owns the cattle upon the hills, the water that springs from the earth, the skies that span our view, and everything good. It is you who can provide for and bless the earth and the inhabitants thereof. I pray for the many people who are in difficult circumstances right now and need a touch to help them with their basic needs. I pray for those who need financial income to pay their living expenses, those who need jobs to bring in that income, who need good health to be able to do those jobs; and for those whose jobs do not provide sufficient income for their needs. I pray also for those who have the income, but do not know how to properly manage it for the best outcome. And I pray for those who have much and can give much. Please, connect the right people with jobs, and the right people with the right people, to do what needs to be done. I pray that you will meet every need; that you will bless the lives of those who follow your guidance and those who are thankful for what you provide. Hear the cries of the needy. I pray you will bless those who give from the abundance you have allowed them to have, for sharing and ministering in ways that others cannot. Thank you, Father, for hearing my prayer. In Jesus' name I pray, amen.
Prayer Is Essential by Pastor Charles Stanley
Where do we begin our step-by-step walk with God? Jesus taught His disciples
to pray (Luke 11:1–4). Therefore, you must begin with prayer. One
man told me, “I don’t want to get into anything too deep in prayer. I’m not a
very emotional person. I enjoy church, but I’m not one of those people who
does a lot of talking to God. I mean, what would I say to Him? He knows
everything anyway.” One of the greatest desires of God’s heart is that you
and I would desire to know Him—not just give lip service to Him on
Sundays but truly long to know Him and His ways. He wants to build an
intimate relationship with us, but do we desire the same thing when it comes
to Him? Do we want to know Him? To achieve this, we must also learn His
ways. We may do this by drawing near to God, as James wrote: “Draw near
to God and He will draw near to you” (James 4:8).
The intimate moments we share with the Savior are the very times when
He reveals Himself to us. With our minds focused on loving and worshiping
Him, we sense His closeness. Moses wanted to know God. His quest
was not simply to gain a type of human knowledge. He wanted to know
Him as a Friend and a personal, holy God. God wanted to show Moses how
to live in the light of His favor and blessing: “Whenever Moses entered the
tent, the pillar of cloud would descend and stand at the entrance of the tent;
and the Lord would speak with Moses. When all the people saw the pillar
of cloud standing at the entrance of the tent, all the people would arise and
worship, each at the entrance of his tent. Thus the Lord used to speak to
Moses face to face, just as a man speaks to his friend” (Ex. 33:9–11, emphasis
added). The word friend in this context means “intimate companion.”
God never intended for us to know only about Him. He wants us to come
to know Him—His ways and His unconditional love for us.
Many times, the British people scoff at Americans, saying we are often
quick to engage in conversation but fall short when it comes to building deep
relationships. On the other hand, they may appear standoffish when first
introduced; however, once they have formed a close friendship, it usually lasts
a lifetime. The closer in fellowship we become with God, the more we will
trust Him. This is true for every relationship. The more time we spend with a

friend, the more we learn about him or her, and the more we rely on that
person. As trust increases, we find ourselves opening up and talking about the
feelings we have and challenges we face. Trust and intimacy are tightly woven
together. If we do not sense we can trust a person, we probably won’t take time
to get to know him or her. And even if we do, we will be cautious.
Dear God, Your Word tells me (in 1 Corinthians 2:14-15) that “the natural man receives not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned. But he that is spiritual judges all things, yet he himself is judged of no man.” And I know that your Word “is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart” (Hebrews 4:12). Please give me spiritual discernment through the power and indwelling of your Holy Spirit within me and through the wisdom of your Word. As I pray and read your Word, and as I rely on your guidance each day, I pray that my eyes will see, my heart will feel, my ears will hear, and my mind will comprehend what you are teaching me…and that I will be able to discern what is of the your spirit and what is not; what is good and what is evil; what is truth and what is a lie. May my spirit bear witness with my brothers and sisters in Christ. Please protect us from the evil one and his tricks, keep our families safe from all harm, and direct our paths each day. I pray these things in the name of my Savior, Jesus Christ. Amen.
In 1993, 6000 religious leaders, representing 125 relgious
groups from around the world, gathered in Chicago
for the Parliament of World Religions, an event
promoted by the United Nations.
The stated purpose of this parliament was to formulate
a "global ethic" that would provide the basis for
a non-biased, non-exclusive, religious world order.
In the words of this "global ethic" -
"We affirm that a common set of core values
is found in the teachings of the religions,
and that these form the basis of a global ethic."

Dear God, Thank you for this beautiful day. Thank you for the seasons that change and the awesome wonder of nature that you gave us to enjoy and to oversee. Thank you for cool fall breezes at the end of a hot, dry summer. Thank you for the colorful autumn leaves that flutter down and the rusty, warm shades of flowers. Thank you for harvest time, orange pumpkins and crisp apples. Thank you for family together times and friends and festivals and all your abundant blessings. Thank you for keeping me safe, for watching over my loved ones, and for meeting our needs. I pray for the needy, that you will touch them and bring joy and provision into their lives. Thank you, God, for hearing me, for accepting my praise, and for answering my heart's prayers. In Jesus' name I pray, amen.
Let's reenergize this board Bob!
Lord Father gives us the inner stillness -
is necessary if we are to be in perfect -
control of our faculties -
if we are to hear the voice -
of the Spirit speaking to us -
there can be no stillness -
without discipline -
the discipline of external silence -
can help us towards the inner tranquillity -
which is at the heart -
authentic religious experience -
in meditation we take steps -
to achieve this stillness -
we quieten our bodies -
our emotions, then gradually -
allow the mind to become single-pointed -
stillness within one individual -
can affect society beyond measure -

wow, i just realized no one is posting here, but i know God heard me.. mom got more bad news today.. but ill keep on hoping and praying.
she asked me to do a couple of songs for her, (ill tape a song here and there, and add it to the web site that her friend made for me) that i did tonight after work,, and will put it on my website in a day or 2 (on my profile)..
i dont sing,, but i just do it for fun, and now its for real.. she is not well, and always liked the 2 songs that will be added..
called.. angel, and .. i will remember you.
if anyone cares to hear it..that is..
but i was pretty sad when i did them, so im kind of stuffy.
hi everyone, just wanted to drop in.. dont have much time to talk as im off to work, but can you all drop a prayer for my mom who has some sort of cancer, they thought they knew what it was, now dont know, and the tumor is just growing up her neck in just days... and making it harder for her to breath, and the idiots wont do anything.. they dont even know, after weeks, what kind of chemo to give, but if they dont hurry, they will be too late. she told me yesterday she is "running out of time".. i was at work "i take 911 calls" and cried my eyes out but was in a spot where no one, including the bosses, could see me.
my stomach is a wreck,, i cant sleep.. im just sick with worry. i cant imagine what its like to have that, but i know its coming,, as cancer is really strong on her side of the family.. she survived breast cancer over 25 years ago. but shes only 68. she quit smoking years ago, and takes vitamins, just loves life. something has to stop this cancer in its tracks. she is going to see another dr today.. as the other ones are just retarded, and also lied to her, as they were going to do further tests on the biopsy, and then, simply forgot.
also, my coworker, sam (a lady) had sudden headaches, (she loves stocks cause im it it and we both have lost money here, but she wants to keep playing,, reallly nice lady).. anyway.. turns out she had emergency brain surgery a few days ago.. was up and walking right after and even dropped in work to see us. but a couple of days ago, she had chest pains and it was a clot in the lung. she is still in the hospital. they just found out yesterday it was a tumor, not just an innocent mass, and will test for cancer.
just needed at this point, cause im at a loss, and have prayed super hard for both, and im very upset for my mom, who is crying all the time now when i call her . (shes normally upbeat and ditzy as she can be).
so, just do what you can.. mom's name is linda.
thx.

say a prayer for your police and firefighters.
this picture is too funny!
Forth in thy name, O Lord, we go -
our daily labour to pursue -
thee, only thee, resolved to know -
in all we think, or speak, or do -
thee may we set at my right hand -
whose eyes our inmost purpose see -
and labour on at thy command -
and offer all my works to thee -
for thee delightfully employ -
whate’er thy bounteous grace hath given -
and run our course with even joy -
and closely walk with thee to Heaven -
God Bless us -
Amen

Mark 11:15-25
15) And they came to Jerusalem. And he entered the temple and began to drive out those who sold and those who bought in the temple, and he overturned the tables of the money-changers and the seats of those who sold pigeons; 16) and he would not allow any one to carry anything through the temple. 17) And he taught, and said to them, "Is it not written, `My house shall be called a house of prayer for all the nations'? But you have made it a den of robbers." 18) And the chief priests and the scribes heard it and sought a way to destroy him; for they feared him, because all the multitude was astonished at his teaching. 19) And when evening came they went out of the city. 20) As they passed by in the morning, they saw the fig tree withered away to its roots. 21) And Peter remembered and said to him, "Master, look! The fig tree which you cursed has withered." 22) And Jesus answered them, "Have faith in God. 23) Truly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, `Be taken up and cast into the sea,' and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that what he says will come to pass, it will be done for him. 24) Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours. 25) And whenever you stand praying, forgive, if you have anything against any one; so that your Father also who is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses."
