Yes sir...Can't go with good beverage companies. $$$$
I have done well with PEP lately and will continue to play it out. I was looking at some of the food and beverage plays that were very speculative but decided to put smart money in bigger names like PEP and not risky ones that may end up being pie in the sky dreams like like this yogurt company I was watching. Go PEP.
Look for the PPS to shot up during NFL playoff and Super Bowl season. It always happen! I've taken stock options through the job. I've been buying PepsiCo for a good while now. Have it pull directly from my check.
Merry Christmas to all PepsiCo stock holders!

We have several great tasting cola product variations using zero calorie natural sweeteners blended with sugar that we’re testing in various markets in the world. And so far, these test results are promising. However, our U.S. launches of these sweeteners will begin this year, primarily with non-cola products, to build and test consumer acceptance before we launch low-calorie naturally sweetened cola products.
So, based on our assessment of the strong and sustainable cash flow generation capacity of the portfolio, driven by our expectation of mid-single digit organic revenue growth, robust productivity programs, and efficient capital investment, we’re pleased to announce today that we’ll substantially increase our cash returns to shareholders in 2014. This decision is consistent with our commitment to disciplined capital allocation and our strong bias to returning cash to our investors.
First, we’re increasing our dividend per share by 15%, beginning with our 2014 June payment, to $2.62 on an annualized basis. This represents the 42nd consecutive year of annual dividend increase, and approximately 60% payout ratio based on 2013 core EPS. At today’s stock price, it represents a 3.2% yield and will bring our 10-year annualized dividend per share compound annual growth to 11%.
And we’re further increasing expected shareholder cash returns with a targeted $5 billion share repurchase target. This represents a 67% increase over our 2013 repurchase, and is approximately 4% of our market capitalization. While doing so, we expect to maintain tier one commercial paper access, enabling us to retain low cost, highly accessible, financing.
Taken together, these actions reflect a 35% increase in total shareholder cash returns compared to 2013, and will bring our cumulative 10-year cash returns to shareholders to over $60 billion. As many of you know, we have stated disciplined capital allocation as a top priority for our management and our board, and we trust these actions will be seen by our shareholders as tangible evidence of this commitment.

Ge ready for next quarter to be aweful!! word is that their new promotion where they have the statue of liberty and the empire state building with the pledge of allegiance
on them will be and is a dud. They took out the words UNDER GOD from the pledge.
Plus this is the kind of service you get from them.
I tried to do this privately. Real Simple. How did two rubber dime size 1/2'' thick rubber plugs get in a Mtn Dew , more importantly how did two whole maggots and three partial ones get in there also. I drank half of it before I noticed them. I sit everyday and wonder where the other half of the three partial ones are.

Senior Director of Customer Relations Jeanne, thanks for contacting Pepsi Customer Relations. It's very likely that the two "rubber" dime-sized plugs weren't rubber plugs at all, but horse suppositories called Erythromycin Thiocyanate that we require all employees to insert at the start of every shift. We obviously have a couple of wise guys on the line. Don't worry, we'll track them down. As for the maggots, those are just maggots.
PEP’s head of Americas Beverages, Albert Carey, sold $12M worth of stock at $72 and change on 8/9/12:
http://www.sec.gov/Archives/edgar/data/77476/000120919112041485/xslF345X03/doc4.xml
The options Carey exercised and sold would have expired on 1/31/13, so the sale is not quite as bearish at it might seem. Still, it’s a very large sale for a high-ranking executive, so I don’t like it.

It is a shame that it is too inconvenient for the religious right to boycott products that actually involve HEK293 use like pharmaceuticals or ingredient companies like Firmenich and Ajinomoto that actually sell SNMX products. But a Pepsi boycott spreads so much better among Facebook moms.
Thanks, ac—you saved me the time of replying. Regards, Dew
Your posts are completely factually inaccurate.
There are zero PEP products that contain aborted fetal cells or use aborted fetal cells in manufacturing.
PEP collaborates with SNMX, a biotech firm that has used HEK293 cells (which were derived from a single aborted embryo decades ago) to discover ingredients for food and beverages. No SNMX ingredient has ever been incorporated to date in a PEP product. Furthermore, PEP recently confirmed that SNMX is not using any fetus-derived cell lines in research for the PEP collaboration.
Just because it is all over the internet doesn't make it true.

Obama agency rules Pepsi's use of aborted fetal cells in soft drinks constitutes 'ordinary business operations'
The Obama Administration has given its blessing to PepsiCo to continue utilizing the services of a company that produces flavor chemicals for the beverage giant using aborted human fetal tissue. LifeSiteNews.com reports that the Obama Security and Exchange Commission (SEC) has decided that PepsiCo's arrangement with San Diego, Cal.-based Senomyx, which produces flavor enhancing chemicals for Pepsi using human embryonic kidney tissue, simply constitutes "ordinary business operations."
The issue began in 2011 when the non-profit group Children of God for Life (CGL) first broke the news about Pepsi's alliance with Senomyx, which led to massive outcry and a worldwide boycott of Pepsi products. At that time, it was revealed that Pepsi had many other options at its disposal to produce flavor chemicals, which is what its competitors do, but had instead chosen to continue using aborted fetal cells -- or as Senomyx deceptively puts it, "isolated human taste receptors" (http://www.naturalnews.com).
A few months later, Pepsi' shareholders filed a resolution petitioning the company to "adopt a corporate policy that recognizes human rights and employs ethical standards which do not involve using the remains of aborted human beings in both private and collaborative research and development agreements." But the Obama Administration shut down this 36-page proposal, deciding instead that Pepsi's used of aborted babies to flavor its beverage products is just business as usual, and not a significant concern.
"We're not talking about what kind of pencils PepsiCo wants to use -- we are talking about exploiting the remains of an aborted child for profit," said Debi Vinnedge, Executive Director of CGL, concerning the SEC decision. "Using human embryonic kidney (HEK-293) to produce flavor enhancers for their beverages is a far cry from routine operations!"
To be clear, the aborted fetal tissue used to make Pepsi's flavor chemicals does not end up in the final product sold to customers, according to reports -- it is used, instead, to evaluate how actual human taste receptors respond to these chemical flavorings. But the fact that Pepsi uses them at all when viable, non-human alternatives are available illustrates the company's blatant disregard for ethical and moral concerns in the matter.
Back in January, Oklahoma Senator Ralph Shortey proposed legislation to ban the production of aborted fetal cell-derived flavor chemicals in his home state. If passed, S.B. 1418 would also reportedly ban the sale of any products that contain flavor chemicals derived from human fetal tissue, which includes Pepsi products as well as products produced by Kraft and Nestle (http://www.naturalnews.com).
