I have been unable to get any information on what happens to our shares. Does anyone else have information or suggestions?
Since they are a private company now, don't they have to come up with an agreed price to buy out the shareholders? What's the process? What's the time line? Shouldn't a shareholder committee be established?
Interesting, type in Google News "Richard Branson Plant Protein". The CEO of Parabel is from England. He was the former CEO of Liberty Areospace ...getting a connection? Parabel becoming a private company, the timing of Branson's public statements? Parabel a private company easier than a public company dealing with SEC process. What are your thoughts?
As I recall there was about a $43 million market cap. Your knowledge what this means to share holders is very much appreciated.
So what does that mean to the share holders, they own shares of a private company now that can't be traded publicly?
The company is entirely at fault for not filing Financials. To be registered with the SEC every company is obligated to file a yearly audited 10K and 3 unaudited quarterly 10Q's.
With the company's stock registration revoked the company is now a private company that no longer has a stock ticker.
If Parabel wants to re-register they would need to file a FORM 10 that comprises audited data from the last audited 10K.
Of course the questions now are ..how did this happen? Who in the company is at fault? What is currently being done about it? When will this problem be resolved?
PABL revoked:
https://www.sec.gov/litigation/admin/2017/34-81813.pdf
Renee, since you follow these. PABL is now trading in the gray market after suspension. Is that usual? In an earlier post you mentioned that PABL stock was probably going to be revoked.
What's the deal with the gray market after suspension?
The SEC is kind of like the 'powers that be' on boards. They selectively ignore some while attack others!
It did have an unusual rise in price that probably interested the SEC. Good thing I sold a few weeks ago!
What an amazing coincidence, talking about the high risk of an SEC Suspension and then this morning the stock is suspended.
PABL SEC Suspension for severely delinquent Financials / Filings:
https://www.sec.gov/litigation/suspensions/2017/34-80638.pdf
Order:
https://www.sec.gov/litigation/suspensions/2017/34-80638-o.pdf
Admin Proceeding:
https://www.sec.gov/litigation/admin/2017/34-80633.pdf
The SEC has no apparent pattern for suspending delinquent registered filers. Some SEC Registrants can be delinquent only one year to receive an SEC Suspension and subsequent revocation of their stock registration while some SEC Registrants are delinquent up to 7 years before the SEC takes action. Of course, the SEC should have a predictable timeframe template for delinquent SEC Filers to file or automatically be suspended, but that has not occurred.
Once the SEC does suspend a stock for being delinquent in filing Financials and other filing obligations it is too late for the company to remedy the delinquencies, and in 100% of all SEC Suspensions for delinquent Financials ALL the suspended stocks had their registrations revoked....ALL of them, no exceptions.
So, although Parabel Inc. has so far avoided the SEC guillotine, if and when the SEC does suspend the stock the SEC Admin Law Judge will not accept any excuses and the PABL stock registration would be revoked.

SEC has been increasing stock trading halts it seems. They most recently halted $AXST for being delinquent with their SEC filings https://www.sec.gov/litigation/suspensions/2017/34-80518.pdf
Renee, have you also noticed an increase in the amount of companies that the SEC has been halting recently?
Sorry about your money. Looks like New Leaf went out of business around the same time, which seems inevitable as the brand seemed to confuse people into thinking it's "pure leaf tea." I could be that they made their money by selling shares? That would inspire the SEC to revoke their stock.
Different company, different CEO, completely different product. Stock halt unlikely as the company is not doing anything that would trigger an investigation.
PABL is severely delinquent in their filing obligations, Financials and other filings. Thus, the stock is at very high risk of an SEC Suspension then revocation of their stock registration.

Petroalgae: $1.8 Billion Market Cap With No Revenues
Jun. 1, 2011 7:51 AM ET|4 comments| About: Parabel Inc. (PABL), Includes: AMFW, REFG, XOM
Petroalgae (PALG.PK) has a current market cap of $1.8B, net debt of $57M, total assets of only $4M, and last 12 months' net loss of -$38M. Petroalgae has not generated any revenues since inception in 2006.
Management is well compensated. The CEO's 2010 salary was $486k, and five other senior managers earned over $200k. Five senior officers also received an $11.4M accelerated stock vesting in the fourth quarter of 2010, although that was based on the current high stock valuation.
Petroalgae is developing a process to produce bio-fuels from algae and other micro-organisms. In open-pond bioreactors, the company or future licensees grow aquatic microorganisms at accelerated rates, enabling the production of two end-products: a fuel feedstock that can be used in refineries, and secondarily, a protein that can be added to animal or human food.
Biofuels have a lot of potential. It is a renewable energy source that is in ample supply. As fossil fuel supplies may diminish in the decades to come, biomass fuels (converting bio-waste to energy, or algae to energy) become more attractive.
Petroalgae's stock hit an all-time high of $33 back in 2009, when Exxon Mobil (NYSE:XOM) announced that it would spend $600 million to study the feasibility of algae-based fuels, although none of those funds have been directed towards Petroalgae. Since then, Petroalgae has announced some corporate partners, most notably Foster Wheeler (FWLT), although monetization of these agreements have not yet occurred. In fact, one recent licensee, requested a refund of its $2M escrowed license fee, which was refunded in January 2011.

PABL is severely delinquent in filing their Financials and corporate filing obligations to the SEC. On Feb. 20, 2015 the SEC suspended 8 stocks from the Delinquent SEC Filers list, and it is likely that more delinquent Filers will be suspended.
Since Jan 1st, 2010 the SEC has suspended over 1290 stocks for Financials delinquencies. All of those Suspended stocks had their stock registrations revoked.
Shareholders should contact the company and pressure the Mgmt to file their delinquent Financials because ALL shareholders would be wiped out IF the SEC suspends the stock.
PABL is on the list of delinquent filers:

I know BEHL has one good CEO and they are being really secretive right now. I think something is brewing!
Keep an eye on SYNJ also. They are going to be a major play in the renewable energy sector.
yes. i have a friend who just a few weeks ago sold half his shares, holding the rest from VOXL/DVGL.
I think the share price is artificially inflated by manipulation, which is inexpensive when the float is microscopic. The issued shares that have not entered the market may still enter someday.
good luck with it.
On the positive side they are progressing in many ways.
Here we are almost 1 year later and the pps is 21.50 . You sold this one a little short. Don't see this often on the OTC. If the pumpers only new about this one. LOL
BEHL is the next algae play that will make you rich. Its a start up thats going to really make waves in both the business world and the stock world.
So many eyes looking @ the algae world, another that I'm watching is BEHL.
Hi.. I am not an investor but I am looking for good companies in the bio-fuel space. Anyone have any insight on Petro Algae?
what's up with the spread bid $8.00/ ask 105.00 ????
