Chinese stocks almost destroyed the fundamentalist...
Hey, been busy with family in town for the past 2 weeks.
That ACC tourney was sweet! I was at the first beatdown of UNC in January, but beating them in the finals was better.
I wish we were still playing this weekend but I'm proud of how far they have come with Coach Ham.
How about those Noles! beating Duke and NC
Nole92,
Thanks for the reply and encouragement. John Harmon sent out an email drawing attention to the new website. I also see this a positive sign because I believe that this company is very purposeful in executing its business plan. I believe there is a significant reason for Mr. Han’s projection for huge sales increases in 2012. I am just hoping that “clear visibility” is declared soon on TSTC’s part. I have been discouraged of late. I am not selling under $15, but the wait is longer than I had planned!
Hey zman - I'm also heavily invested in TSTC so I feel your pain. I'm riding it out and was avoiding the msg boards until some news came around.
Today I posted some positive developments on the TSTC board...Phase 1 of the new facility is near completion and Telestone has a great new English website under construction. It appears they are going to make a strong push for International sales. Even with the disappointing end of 2011, I feel pretty good about 2012 and don't believe the doomsday projections that some do.
Best of luck!
Nole, I value your opinions, I have followed TSTC for a long time. Unfortunately, I am long and heavily invested in this stock. What do you think are the chances of this stock recovering to pps above $12? Looking for some shred of hope that I have not brought myself to ruin…. Thanks in advance for your for reply.
zman
Right now I am in at about 1.14 million shares and don't want to buy any more. I like the company and I like that I know were there at. My mother in law lived in Howell Michigan for over 10 years and my wife is from Stockbridge Michigan which is only about 10-15 minutes away from there. Gives me a chance to maybe go visit the plant and check it out when I go down state to visit family. Don't think I would be able to visit the other facility, although it would be the good one to visit.
I'm thinking they will be able to be profitable in the next quarter or two and that should drive the price up quite a bit. Plus, I don't think there will be much more dilution once Socius is done. They kind of came out of the blue when they bought that debt. Plus, I think they will try to run up the stock price to sell their shares which will be good for all of us that are in real low such as myself.
The only big drawback to the stock is the lack of volume most days. I'm thinking if enough people realize this little stock exists, that might change. I feel the current price is great at this point for the potential it has, but it might be a good idea to wait until we get close to the True-Up Period for Socius before getting in if your not sure.
As for the China stocks, I know what you mean by taking a beating. I was very luck that I sold most of my shares of JADA before the quarterly came out that drove the price way down. Unfortunately, I forgot to sell the shares I held in my mother's account, so she took a good hit when it dropped. She was in at 0.30 cents so it could have been worse. If I would have remembered to sell her shares with mine she would have had a 33% gain instead of a lose. Well, that's the way it goes sometimes. As for CMKM, I think it is a great stock to buy at 50 to 60 cents and sell at 80 to 95 cents. I did that a few times last year and CMKM was by far my biggest gainer in my portfolio last year. If I would have stayed with that strategy instead of buying JADA and IFXY, I would have had another $50,000 easy by now, ready to reinvest again because it is down again.
Anyway, thanks for the other stock tips. Good luck and I hope you like what you see with MWWC. If you don't, that’s fine too. Maybe I’m just crazy but it was the equity deals that got me interested in it months ago. Personally, I think it is a unique stock. Never really seen a company do such intricate share deals when they need to issue shares. They really know how to protect themselves. Most of these companies don't have the type of floor price protection clauses in their equity financing and settlement deals that MWWC does. Plus, if you read the quarterly report, you will see that a majority of the shares that have been issued, have been issued at a much higher price than what they are trading at right now. I believe it is around 9 cents a share for the majority of the shares that were issued within a year until just recently.
I certainly can't blame you for that. Pinks are doing one of three things so it seems: running for one particular day,......running down everyday,.....or nothing at all
I'll take a deeper look on Sunday. I see some volume at .01 but the trend is still south. I saw a new CEO which could be good and a potential multi-bagger is likely if they can turn a profit (depending on debt and loans) Have you bought in, or looking to?
As for CMKM, China stocks have been awful and have destroyed my portfolio. I'm even more bullish now on Chinese stocks at today's prices, even if it takes a year or 2 to rebound. I've even sold most of my US stocks and averaged down in my Chinese ones.
I may get burned, but you have to go against the grain to win big.
Another US lotto pick is PVHO. It's do or die time for them. Market cap is very low. The freaking ex CEO of Apple is on the board so you would hope they could get something going.
Cheers...I'm drinking with old friends today.
Dan
What do you think of MWWC as a 5 to 10 bagger once Socius gets their share allotment at the “True-Up Period" in March? You will have to read the court document to see what I mean. I figure they are selling shares right now to keep the average volume price down at $0.01 a share to get a good conversion. Should be a total of 7 million shares. I think it could be a run like JADA had over a year ago. Also, the company has a low float and low OS and they are planning to be profitable in a quarter or two. They do business with some big names in the auto industry.
Well, let me know what you think of them. I think Socius still has about one million shares to sell before they get to the point where they would rather not sell any more at $0.01 a share. At that point, I believe selling more shares at $0.01 would cut into their max profits. Plus, I think after they get their allotment of shares, they are going to want to cause a run to dump their 4.15 - 4.2 million shares they will have left over if they don’t have to sell to many at $0.01 a share.
Hey Champ. I saw the PR the other day. Hopefully you make some money back if you still own the stock. My days of trading pinksheet stocks are over.
Good Luck!
Hey Nole, i think MEVT might be coming back to life. new acquisition on the F1-88 fire inhibitor product, new added person to the board with a high reputation and a comment on the court issues at the end of the pr.
TSTC - 2011 Guidance PR will be out sometime in the next few days.
They are also putting together a staff for their US subsidiary, Telestone Networks, Inc.
I have found employment ads for sales reps in LA, San Fran, Miami, Dallas, Chicago and NY. Irving, TX will be the home office.

TSTC/ZOOM/ZSTN - Top 10 Telecom Equipment Stocks with Highest Return on Assets: TCCO, ZSTN, DRWI, RIMM, GRMN, IDCC, ADTN, PLT, ZOOM, TSTC (Nov 21, 2010)
Sunday, November 21, 2010/China Analyst
Below are the top 10 Telecom Equipment stocks with highest Return on Assets ratio (ROA) for the last 12 months, UPDATED TODAY before 4:30 AM ET. ROA shows a company's efficiency in making profits from its assets. It is equal to net profits divided by total assets. Three Chinese companies (ZSTN, ZOOM, TSTC) are on the list.
(Here's a link to complete article at www.cnanalyst.com)
ZST Digital Networks Inc (NASDAQ:ZSTN) has the 2nd highest Return on Assets in this segment of the market. Its ROA was 33.80% for the last 12 months. Its Asset Turnover ratio (revenue divided by assets) was 2.41 for the same period.

CERP - Announced 3rd qtr results
I ran the numbers and one can expect revenue of $5.5-7.5M in Q4 based on the CEO's guidance. He claims that margins will increase, but it didn't happen in Q3 so it's hard to say if they will turn a profit in Q4.
Based on Q3 numbers, you can expect anywhere from a $900,000 loss to about break even in net income for Q4. I would be surprised to see anything higher without a tax credit or other similar event.
POSC - Down to $.05 and $45M market cap. Forgiveness of debt helped them break even for the quarter. I plan to keep them on watch with the introduction of Cardio-Assist scheduled for commercial deployment during the first quarter of 2011.
Positron Announces Third Quarter 2010 Financial Results Revenue Increased by Over 400%; Debt Levels Reduced by 90%)
INDIANAPOLIS, Nov 17, 2010 (GlobeNewswire via COMTEX) -- Positron Corporation
(OTCBB:POSC), a leading molecular imaging company specializing in the field of
nuclear cardiology, today announced financial results for the third quarter
ended September 30, 2010.
Highlights of the third quarter included:
-- An increase in revenue of 439% from the prior year period;
-- Sales of 13 Attrius(R) PET systems since 2010 product launch;
-- A posting of net income in the current quarter over the prior year
period's net loss; and,
-- A 90% reduction in debt levels since year-end (excluding customer
deposits/unearned revenue).
During the quarter Positron made significant strides in expanding its position
and visibility in the marketplace, while simultaneously continuing to fortify
its balance sheet. Since quarter-end debt levels were further reduced, leaving
the Company effectively debt-free. The sales ramp-up and market awareness
campaigns have also been in full force; as of November 15th, Positron had sales
orders of 12 Attrius(R) PET systems.
"We continue to execute our strategy of being the leader in cardiac PET, which
we believe will yield positive revenue and earnings growth patterns over the
long-term," said Patrick G. Rooney, chief executive officer of Positron.
The Company noted that as of the third quarter it received customer deposits,
not yet recognized as revenue, totaling $2.3 million. The Company expects to
recognize the deposits and balance of payments by customers associated with
these sales orders as revenue during the first half of 2011.
During the three months ended September 30, 2010, the Company also reported an
increase in operating expenses to $2.5 million from $1.1 million in the prior
year period. Over the past 12 months the Company has expended substantial
resources on the research and development of its two major business segments,
including the development of Positron's Nuclear Cardio-Assist(TM) and its
radiopharmaceutical manufacturing facility, and sales and marketing efforts for
the Attrius(R) Cardiac PET system. As a result of investments made, Positron
expects a significant increase in sales of the Attrius(R) Cardiac PET system and
related service contracts, as well as sales of radiopharmaceuticals through the
Company's dose dispensing systems, and the manufacturing of
radiopharmaceuticals. The Company expects that these developments will have a
positive impact on revenue and net margins.

VV's analysis on it is:
Value: Value is a measure of a stock's current worth. CMKM has a current Value of $1.42 per share. Therefore, it is undervalued compared to its Price of $0.66 per share. Value is computed from forecasted earnings per share, forecasted earnings growth, profitability, interest, and inflation rates. Value increases when earnings, earnings growth rate and profitability increase, and when interest and inflation rates decrease. VectorVest advocates the purchase of undervalued stocks. At some point in time, a stock's Price and Value always will converge.
RV (Relative Value): RV is an indicator of long-term price appreciation potential. CMKM has an RV of 1.48, which is excellent on a scale of 0.00 to 2.00. This indicator is far superior to a simple comparison of Price and Value because it is computed from an analysis of projected price appreciation three years out, AAA Corporate Bond Rates, and risk. RV solves the riddle of whether it is preferable to buy High growth, High P/E stocks, or Low growth, Low P/E stocks. VectorVest favors the purchase of stocks with RV ratings above 1.00.
CMKM - I don't own it, but it looks like a good one. I just sold CCME for a nice double and may re-enter at one point. Both should do well with the advertising boom in China.
Very low float with heavy insider ownership.
Looks like about $36M in revenue/$4.5M net income for 2010
No debt and about $5.5M in cash
Selling for less than book value
Fundamentals look great...needs some attention.
Pass along any other info you have.
Thanks,
nole
Hi nole92,
What do you think of CMKM (China Marketing Media Holdings)? You said on the JADA board we could stop in and ask. Just wanted to get your perspective on the company.
JADA is a favorite still... also in response to a Q on the JADA board, I like lots of these US listed china plays. A couple others I'm looking for near term doubles or more from would be GHII and CAAH.
FEEC is a favorite too for the long haul, probably not quite as undervalued yet as reserves are not out yet, but due soon. FEEC is more like HDY... ten bagger upside easy, longer term.
TSTC - repost from pmony5
TSTC CEO stating Guidance mid Sept after 3rd Qtr was complete... Reports Next Monday before open...Link
http://www.telestone.com/english/investo...
Mr. Han Daqing, Chairman and CEO of Telestone Technologies Corp. (NASDAQ:TSTC) and Richard Wu, VP of Finance, sat down with two China investor analysts at the conference on Tuesday, suggesting investors should consider investing in this company for a good reason. The company is on track with its forecasted revenue and earnings target of $129.4 million and $22.9 million for FY2010. That's an 80 percent top line increase from 2009.
According to the Chairman, investors have to realize that Telestone Technologies Corp. (NASDAS:TSTC) realizes 70% of sales in the third and fourth quarter of any given year, due to the seasonality of the business. Current stock price is under pressure due to "weak" first and second quarter results, but that is about to change, according to the Chairman. Telestone Technologies 2010 second quarter results.
Investors have to realize that the first couple of months of the year is the time for the bidding process - companies like Comba Telecom Systems (HKG:2342) and Telestone (NASDAQ:TSTC) bid for various projects. Most revenues recognized in the first three months are spillovers from last year. Once the bidding process is done, installation starts. These projects include wiring high rises and other mostly concrete structures buildings where normal cellular signal penetration is low. Telesone Technologies Corp. (NASDAQ:TSTC) provides comprehensive solutions for such structures enabling all three national carriers, China Mobile (NYSE:CHL), China Unicom (NYSE:CHU) and China Telecom (NYSE:CHA), so boost their signal within such hard to penetrate buildings. Besides top three carriers, Telestone's fibre optic cables can carry other signals, including cable TV, internet and so on. Bandwidth of the fiber optic cable is 1000 times over the RF coaxial cable in IBS, arch rival Comba Telecom Systems (HKG:2342) uses.
If their company can deliver on its promises, current stock price looks trading at a discount. Investors have to realize that the stock price got a significant boost about the same time last year, going from $6 to $24 in three months, when investors realized that the upcoming two quarters are going to be just robust. But the stock fell back to under $10 and volume diminished as the first two months of 2010 were far off from 2009 third and fourth quarter numbers.
Yup, still got all my shares in both my ROTH (bought in 2007) and my trading account (bought this July). Nice to actually have a winner on board after the ARNA debacle! Just hope they don't dilute immediately....will also be interesting to see what happens Monday when retailers are able to trade.
AVNR - U.S. FDA approves Avanir involuntary emotion drug
(I hope you are still holding sts66! over $5 AH)
Fri Oct 29, 2010 6:43pm EDT
* FDA OKs first product to treat pseudobulbar affect
* Analysts see peak annual sales up to $500 million
* Shares rise 15 percent
NEW YORK, Oct 29 (Reuters) - U.S. health regulators on Friday approved Avanir Pharmaceuticals Inc's (AVNR.O) Zenvia, a treatment for a neurological disorder in which patients cannot control outbursts of crying or laughter.
U.S. Food and Drug Administration spokeswoman Sandy Walsh said the agency had approved the long-delayed drug.
Zenvia is the first drug approved for the treatment of the little known, but not that rare, condition called pseudobulbar affect (PBA), which is also known as involuntary emotional expression disorder.
Analysts expect Zenvia to garner peak U.S. sales of $350 million to $500 million ,and Avanir shares rose 15 percent in light after-hours trading on Friday.
The approval could make Avanir an attractive acquisition target for larger companies desperate for new products that don't carry the risk of FDA rejection faced by promising experimental medicines.
PBA affects an estimated two million Americans suffering from multiple sclerosis, Lou Gehrig's disease (ALS), stroke and other neurological disorders or trauma that can cause brain lesions.
Avanir suffered a major blow four years ago, when the FDA rejected Zenvia and asked for new trials due to safety concerns. The FDA was uneasy about the heart rhythm impact of quinidine, a component of the drug used to increase the amount of the active ingredient, dextromethorphan, in the body.
The agency asked Avanir to go back and perform new trials with only a third as much quinidine -- 10 milligrams instead of 30 mg. In August of 2009, Avanir said its reformulated Zenvia met the main goal of the new pivotal study by significantly reducing the emotional outbursts tied to PBA .
The FDA accepted the resubmission of Avanir's marketing application in May, paving the way for Friday's approval.
Many investors may have been betting on another delay as Avanir shares fell nearly 14 percent to $2.42 on Nasdaq before the FDA announced the approval.
Avanir shares rose to $2.79 in light extended trading. (Reporting by Krishnakali Sengupta and Shravya Jain in Bangalore; additional reporting by Bill Berkrot in New York and Susan Heavey in Washington; editing by Carol Bishopric)
AMLM might be worth bottom feeding. I got a few K at .415...a very old gap up filled and it appears there is no reason to keep her below .53. Long term huge upside...this stink bomb was about $3 not too long ago...probably due for a new "pump" by some outfit that specializes in penny plays.
HDY is red red hot...not sure it can go too much further without great news... I don't expect that quite yet, great news is coming later imo. should fill the gap up at 1.45...stong buy down around the 200 week moving ave. of 1.42
HDY on fire again...good call back in June. Now we need JADA to do the same....I have too much of my portfolio locked up in it. I'll wait it out...the chart is in our favor long-term.
One of the few good ones I have in this lame market. Good call elmacanuck.
Check out today's news from HDY...and the chart. Hope to see it start acting like a hot biotech!!

Timmins Gold Corp.: 12.19 Meters Grading 4.39 gpt Gold and 13.72 meters Grading 3.88 gpt Gold Intercepted Up to 250 meters Southwest of San Francisco Pit
(Special thanks to daredguy)
VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA, Aug 24, 2010 (MARKETWIRE via COMTEX News Network) --
Timmins Gold Corp. (TSX VENTURE: TMM) is pleased to announce that reverse circulation drilling continues to expand the strike length of mineralization at the San Francisco Gold Mine, located in the State of Sonora, Mexico. Additionally, the tenor of the gold grades being encountered are amongst the highest returned to date from drilling on the now-operating gold deposit. Highlights of the assays received from the most current round of drilling completed in May and June include12.19 meters of 4.39 gpt gold in Hole TF-651 and 13.72 meters of 3.88 gpt gold in Hole TF-649 (which were drilled approximately 150 meters to the southwest of the San Francisco pit limit) and 10.67 meters of 6.39 gpt gold in Hole TF-725 and 4.57 meters of 3.46 gpt gold in Hole TF-728 in an area inside the north portion of the current pit limit. These results indicate the potential for expansion of the open pit beyond its current projected limit and indicates that the potential exists to increase the ultimate gold resource contained within the deposit.
The most current round of drilling has continued to take place- since the last update to shareholders (see press release dated May 13, 2010) and has totaled approximately 25,000 meters in 231 drill holes. Drilling has been focused on an infill basis to the north and also focused on extending the known -strike length of the newly-discovered southwest extension. The drilling, which is testing the potential of the San Francisco deposit outside of the limits of the currently-planned final pit, continues to confirm the continuity of mineralization within a 1.2 kilometer wide, major NW-SE trending gold-hosting structure.
The objective of the exploration drilling to the southwest of the pit has been to extend the mineralized zone outside of the currently planned pit limits and beyond a drill hole 50 meters to the southwest of the pit that intersected 13.7 meters of 10.28 gpt gold (see press release dated May 13, 2010). Drilling inside the northern part of the currently planned pit limits was in an area that required a higher density of drilling in order to be considered a part of the mine plan and, until now, was classified largely as waste for mine planning purposes The holes were all relatively shallow and were drilled to a maximum depth of 130 meters.
The table below highlights the better intercepts from the recently completed program to the Southwest of the pit limit:

Information from the total of over 25,000 meters of drilling is currently being processed to provide an update to the current resource estimate. A new reserve estimate will also be prepared.
The exploration success follows upon the commencement of commercial production at the San Francisco Mine in April 2010. First quarter sales from the mine were 11,319 ounces of gold. The size of the gold mineralization zone, its presence within large shear zones and the continuous nature of the gold within these zones form the basis of management's expectation that the ongoing program could lead to a significant increase in the mineral resource at San Francisco and could potentially also lead to the discovery of additional satellite deposits within the existing land package.
The samples collected during the drilling were prepared and assayed in the San Francisco Mine assay laboratory using fire assay and gravimetric finish. Strict sampling and QA-QC protocol were followed to ensure the best practices in sampling and analysis of the drill samples. Duplicates, standards and blanks were inserted into the sampling stream at intervals of 25 samples. A minimum of fifteen percent of the pulps assayed in the mine lab were also sent to IPL-Inspectorate Lab, for check assays and a minimum of ten per cent of the original samples assayed by IPL will be sent to other independent labs for check assays. The check assays were cross referenced to the mine assays and verified the results.

I've spent two years losing money with penny stocks. I'm done with it. If the market dips below 10k, I'm going to consider it a buying opportunity. If real estate ever turns around, I think AGNC would be a great one to be sitting in, and maybe ARR. They're over three time below their value right now.
I'm going to post the 10-20 rules of OTC stocks soon, but here's a preview:
1. Any stock dividend with no revenues.
2. Any PR reference to short sales.
3. Beware of any poster with an alias similar to the stock.
4. LOI mean nothing
5. Getting off 'Caveat' status on pinksheets is not a good thing.
Looks like I will...wtf
Man am I pissed.
Sketchers has a value of 77 bucks per share. There are some good companies trading at half of their value. Seems it would be a good idea to load up on a few of these and just wait it out.
