If I own 10 cents a share that is 6X profits I guess I could wait longer. Well I arrive here late so I am willing to take 70 cents a share now.
MS owns (approximately) 20,000,000 / NB shares—so to put that into some context — if the stock price hits $20/ps - that would amount to $400 million usd.!
Nice.
LM
Let me calculate:
2 / 27 = 0. 074 ——> 7.4 cent per share. Very very good price.
So CEO Mark Smith owns about 10% of the company, any others own large chunks of shares you knew?
Looking forward to when we see this kind of news article again!! $NIOBF this summer

That's funny!! Good one PutzMueler........Go NioCorp!!
2016 had so much potential!! From 2016-2021 The USA had record low bank interest rate loans for any business that had a pulse and an idea. How and why this team could not muster up "1" bank/person to loan $NIOBF(besides Lind) starter cash will always leave me scratching my head??? This team sure seems to be making a lot of "Rookie" mistakes for being paid like a rock stars! So glad we kept jimmy sims from leaving and finding another company that will pay him more money(enter sarcasm here)

Appreciated your input Max! Maybe by the AGM- team Niocorp will submit the final 2022 F.S. Updating the projects economics, but also incorporating the latest technology (From scaled successful Demo-plant runs). It is so important for them to secure a substantial portion of the Finance -(If not all) so that the long lead items can be ordered & EPC contractors can begin. (A,B,C,D,E or any combo soon thereafter)
The June 2022 F.S. still shows 2025 as a production start date, but may change once the final is submitted?
Waiting with many for material news as it becomes available!
Go Team Niocorp & L3

MORE GREAT NEWS....for other companies not named $NIOCORP :(
Remember this PR over 5 long years ago??? I do...I wish I had amnesia like a lot of the other posters on here....Life would be so much better having my head in the sand lol

I almost forgot that we have a new Director (Peter Oliver) two month’s ago. He has been rather quiet—what’s going on behind the curtain?.
May 25, 2022) – NioCorp Developments Ltd. Our share-price seems to be stuck in “1st gear on the highway”.
Shrug
Speaking of humiliation, Yesterday I try to support the share price at C$.90 , what I believed to be support and the very next day it drops and closes below support lol.
What a waste of five grand. Haha. At least for the purpose of holding the line.

I like your theory. It makes sense to me. I spent a lot of time in big power plants. I did not do the controls but the controls guys came to me and asked what do you want me to make it do. The controls systems were pretty standardized and programmable. But a control system is useless without inputs. Things like pressure transmitters and temperature transmitters are off the shelf. But some of the other instrumentation is a lot more specialized. I worked on SCRs (Selective Catalytic Reduction) They remove most of the NOX from flue gas. You cannot tune the controls unless you know the exact ppm of NOX going in and coming out. There was really only one company that made good dependable real time NOX analyzers. They kind of knew they were the only ones with a good dependable product. They were based in Germany. If you needed any work or calibration done you had to fly in a technician from Germany. It might take a week to get a technician. Then he works on it for a day and decides we need parts. Then these have to come from Germany. This was an eye opening experience for me. I imagine a rotary kiln has some fairly exotic instrumentation.
Yes I read that—June 27th …
Russell 3000 added by end June, Pls look to the volume chart....
I see (LWLG) is up $5.00 in last 10 trading days, WOW
Yes I saw that! And they would most probably take all remaining 90% Sc.
If no one in the U.S. is willing or wants!
China wants Scandium
Something to ponder while we still wait patiently:
China given half a chance would have “partnered up” or Funded the $1.14B “Elk Creek Project” in totality, years ago!
but of course that was/is not in line with the direction set out in the Company’s mission statement —
Just saying — and still waiting.

Had to chuckle at your last sentence. Hitting the nail on the head for sure about buying shares. And, yes, I continue to buy more shares as time progresses. We will not always have the opportunity to pick up shares at these very cheap prices. Everyone on this board believes in this project or they would not be on this board, no matter the level of frustration because of the time it is taking to come to fruition. I have been in NIOBF stock since April of 2013 for over nine years myself. Probably own ten times more shares than I ever thought I would own since the beginning of my purchases.
We all want this project done right the first time.

I agree MB "Sounds like I was simplifying it down to a big rotating tumbler with a heat source and obviously there is a good deal more involved with the control systems."
Early on in my career I learned (sometimes very painfully) that everything was not as simple as I thought it was, or thought it should be. It is only when you are responsible for implementation that you discover the myraid details that have to be covered. It is amazing how many plant startups are a struggle because of the simple things like bolt holes not lining up, wrong size, etc. temperature sensors in the wrong place, etc.
This goes for any job be it clerical, engineering, financing, manufacturing, data entry of financial and technical data, etc. This is why we have chosen to go to Cementation, the EPC contractor for the mine and selected Zachry Group (“Zachry”) as the EPC contractor for the surface processing facilities and associated infrastructure.
As BM put it so succinctly on post #81807 "they are the EPC contractor(s) which means THEY hire and supervise the subcontractor."
I’m working with a few startups and talking to a lot more on a weekly basis. The companies that are pure software businesses are not having delivery issues, but if they have any manufactured hardware component, especially electronics they are all struggling to hit deadlines. Electronics manufacturing has almost entirely been offshored and consolidated over the last few decades and the industry is struggling to keep up in the “sort of” post-COVID world. To make matters worse big companies with deep pockets can pay premiums to jump in line to have their products manufactured, where small companies with limited resources and tighter margins can only wait it out.
It appears this kiln delivery SNAFU is behind them, but I’m sure there will be more on the horizon. What they are doing is not easy, especially with their limited financial resources. At the start of 2022 my feeling was they could likely deliver the fully updated Feasibility Study including REEs by late summer this year. Now I’m guessing it’ll be, best case by the end of this year. That timeline is based only on my gut feel, driven by my past career experience and my observations of how this investment has gone to date. NioCorp was my first investment in a Jr Mining company. Investing in these companies are not for the faint of heart. I still believe in this resource and team, but now I’m careful to temper my expectations.
Happy Investing!
Max
Hey PM... I am just as frustrated as you on some of the issues we have been through since 2020 (8yrs for me). I appreciate your chart work & look forward to what you & many here post.
I was upset about the Scandium pricing too PM (post#74184 enough to fire off a few questions...)
Jim's response to Scandium & future Scandium Producers 1/2021:
"You are all probably aware of Rio Tinto’s entry into the Scandium market via the elementnorth21 venture. Could you offer an opinion in regard to this market competition in the Scandium market, and if a lower price point offering is a concern for Niocorp moving forward?"
Reply:
Rio Tinto's effort to more widely commercialized scandium products should be very much welcomed by all prospective scandium producers. In order for large prospective consumers of scandium, such as companies in the aerospace, vehicle transportation, and energy/battery industries, to move aggressively toward incorporating scandium at scale into their manufacturing operations, they will want to see multiple scandium suppliers serving the market. Ensuring diversity of supply for specialty materials like scandium is key for these companies, as it helps them manage supply chain risk.
We believe that multiple producers of scandium will create a rising tide of demand that will benefit all. After all, several independent analyses forecast latent demand for scandium in the several hundred tonnes / year range, if not higher.
Pricing for various scandium products is likely to vary significantly as these markets mature. Some scandium oxide and scandium master alloy products will be sold as commodity products. But other scandium products sold by producers are likely to be custom chemical formulations or alloys or fabricated scandium alloy products that are custom engineered for a specific application. Pricing for these types of value-added products is set between the materials producer and the customer and is often based on the value delivered to the customer of the custom product, rather than an advertised 'commodity' price for scandium.
Hope this is helpful.
Jim
You make a valid point Middleborder …0ne would think?…
I am sure I will get some heat defending PutzMueler but he cannot be more spot on. Its like a lot of the posters on here have Stockholm Syndrome from markie and jimmy. It's a very odd thing to see grown adults have this much admiration for the average at best management team at $NIOBF. You talk about them like they are Mickey Mantle but in reality they are Bill Buckner at this point. When will we finally start calling a spade a spade?? I must say I LOL'D with "Did we buy the furnace from Ukraine"? The supply chain problem started early in 2020....So this group of "rookies" did not see this as a potential problem?? Again, You get paid like a 1% income earner you better deliver like a high income earner! Why is it so hard for some of you to grasp that this is nonsense?? Again, below is just a part time "side" hustle salary. They get paid way more then Doordash or Ubar drivers lol. Tell me again why this management team is so special? What have they really done in the last 8 years when it comes to our share price? In closing we have a great mine and great opportunity....We do not have a great management team. It is very difficult to argue when someone comes at you with facts.
https://www1.salary.com/NIOCORP-DEVELOPMENTS-LTD-Executive-Salaries.html
Some can question my motives all they want, (present company excluded) but I look at things from a purely technical point of view,(chart) because 7 years of fundamentals (with excuses), has got us nowhere.
Mark Smith has been using Lind partners for 7 years and they have been destroying the stock price while diluting it for as long. Meanwhile he runs multiple other companies but can’t order a furnace on time because the smart guy did not learn about supply chain issues until it was trending on the news.
Did we buy the furnace from Ukraine?
When Mark Smith goes on Fox business news 1 year after Covid pandemic starts, and in a day our stock price zooms to $2.08, and a year and a half later after an enormous amount of bluster, we find a bottom at C$.79-80 (Zero gain in 1.5 years)
But guys like me are to blame because our rhetoric after 10 years invested, shows intolerance to this bullshatt.
Meanwhile and in between the negative rhetoric, we get belittled by posters and management while flooded by positive rhetoric about how the quality of our management is beyond reproach and how good they are at their jobs, including Mark Smith’s ability to get projects financed. And then I do my DD and shake my head.
(But I’m the one who needs to comprehend) lol
I find it amazing that with a year and a half worth of positive optimism after learning Financing and Scandium have become a risk, we get nothing but breaking below support, after support, after support, after support, after support.
And I am labeled by Jim as having a desire to push the price lower. LoL
Too funny, if it wasn’t for money.
***********
And here I am, buying more shares, on a project that I believe in, ( project = minerals )
Chico; Thanks for all the time you spend collecting data, analyzing, and sharing your comments! It is a appreciated! (True for many other posters as well!)
MaxzMillionz, Stark12; Thanks for both of your replies regarding the Kiln!
Sounds like I was simplifying it down to a big rotating tumbler with a heat source and obviously there is a good deal more involved with the control systems. Thank you Both for your good information.
Semiconductors and supply chains: so many moving parts it is amazing that there has not been a problem until now.
Example...disruption SemiConductor supply chain, S Korea-Japan Trade Dispute
Hi Chico, I have been an investor in Niocorp for 5 years and have been optimistic for a long time that funding is not far off. Mark always tried very hard to make it appear that our three main products would be enough to make this possible. Unfortunately, my optimism suffered when it became clear that this is probably not the case and that we now have to add REE to the portfolio in order to secure the financing. I blame the management for not always being honest here in the past and for making forecasts that were too optimistic. The keywords for this have already been mentioned a hundred times. Today's statement from Jim gives me hope that they have learned from it and will attach more importance to early and transparent communication in the future. I think we all know that the world needs Niocorp's materials so overall I'm confident that this project will be a success.
I agree with you that there are a lot of members who are making good contributions and asking good questions, Some of them have a good relation to the Management. I appreciate that. I just don't like it when legitimate questions are viewed as quibbles by some on here. I also find it exaggerated when it is said that a DD requires reading through the 907-page FS multiple times. The best way is to complete a mining engineering degree.
Best regards
gwm
gwm61 -Constructive (positive/negative) criticisms & opinions are most welcome by me. I look forward to Advocates-(love your viewpoint!), PM's charting, & others opinion on questioning where Niocorp stands.
Some go a bit overboard on statements/opinion & I would question their motives or "why" they continue to hold shares? Others are just expressing their "frustrations" of holding shares over many years (for several valid reasons!)
(I myself have been frustrated on several topics REE's/Ni-43-101/Separation/Finance & now GHG & have tried to ask relevant questions over the years invested. So far, I have been happy with team Niocorp's responses & my DD. "Although on the finance end not so much! ")
It does "suck" the Oven/roaster has delayed the Demo runs! However - I do continue to see forward momentum towards the goal of Completing/Proving the final Optimization/Processes for Separation of all intended future products. (Niobium, Scandium, Titanium, now including REE's & some interesting kickers.) Which should lead to a final, independently verified 2022 F.S. with updated economics/numbers; & what should be a substantial finance all T.B.D. (Completion of these 3 items this year 2022+/- will tell the tale for me.)
(Round Top, La Paz, Bear Lodge, & Bokan "To date only have PEA's". Several have not even begun final separation/demo tests, major permits, nor attain a substantial finance...) (Good luck with finding info on Bear Lodges "proprietary separation methods! "If you do, I would like to know more...")
I applaud those board members that have taken the time to ask Niocorp relevant questions & share responses on subjects' team Niocorp "Can" answer over the years! (I have tried to do the same...)
I am looking forward to Niocorp's next material news announcement with many here..."I think our Team can still get this done..."
Respectfully
Chico
The question is... another bridge financing coming? or is the team confident that the next step is $ 25 Mio finance? sufficient rescouses planed?
What annoys me about the whole thing is that some oh-so-smart board members tried to downplay critical questions from Putz, Demo and others regarding the delivery time of the oven. Finally, the cat is out of the bag and we learn that this is indeed a very critical component, the absence of which could continue to delay the project for a considerable length of time. As I mentioned in a previous post, faster, more transparent communication from Jim would have been appropriate here because this isn't just a yellow screwdriver. This communication took place today. Thank you to everyone who made it happen.
Kind regards
gwm
Hi Middleborder, I’ve automated a couple of cement plants and have a bit of experience with kiln controls. Kilns are not complex mechanically but the controls are involved and very specialized. I suspect the delay has been delivery of one or more specialty monitoring devices. With cement kilns, to produce clinker the raw materials are heated in a multiple stage heater and then fed into the kiln which raises their temperature to approximately 2500 degrees when the clinker leaves the kiln it is cooled and the heat is returned to the kiln for efficiency. The combustion, flue gas and hot particle monitoring was critical and complex. The hot particle monitoring that I am familiar with needed high-resolution monitoring across approx 750 temperature spots. These processes required several very specialized monitoring devices, and very few were off the shelf and some only had a couple of choices for suppliers. They may not need quite as complex of controls for a pilot plant, but I bet it is still very specialized. Under normal conditions some of these devices had long lead times. Now with chip shortages, labor shortages and other supply chain issues I imagine scheduling the delivery of these devices would be difficult.
These are very unusual times and the original time estimates certainly appear overly optimistic. It sounds like the parts are in hand and hopefully just need to be installed, configured, integrated and shipped. I think there will most likely be another integration effort to tie the kiln in to the rest of the process once it arrives on site. A lot of the work can be preprogrammed, but there will still need to be at the very least a checkout effort. I’m not familiar with what they are building, but I do have a lot of experience with others process control projects and I would guess they are still a few weeks away from having the pilot plant up and running, tested, optimized and documented.
Frustrated but waiting (somewhat) patiently,
Max
Thanks for posting. There are many vendors that supply rotary kilns including custom designed kilns.
According to this information, the vendor is partially to blame, supply chain issues and the war in Ukraine apparently play a role as well. HOWEVER, management set expectations about the construction and operation of the demonstration plant. My take on it was weeks and it looks like it's stretching to months. (June 6 PR said: "Launch of demonstration plant testing is expected to occur in the coming weeks.") Not a big deal in the grand scheme of things, but aligning expectations ideally results in meeting those expectations. It is frustrating. Now it is possible that management was mislead about the timeline and I don't want to jump to conclusions. I suspect they are even more frustrated at how long this is taking. In the end, I think it will be worth the wait.
Discussion about building a demo plant has been kicking around since March 14 (https://www.niocorp.com/niocorp-reports-significant-advance-in-plan-to-process-critical-minerals-in-nebraska/)
We look forward to validating these preliminary findings at the demonstration plant level and to communicating the final results of this effort when completed.
Tommy; Thanks for posting Jim's reply!
This being the United States I am surprised that they needed to go to Europe to purchase the kiln rather than manufacturing it here. Its not like we don't have any mining or refining going on on this continent. Surely there are a half a dozen companies in Chicago or New Jersey, or Pittsburg that could do specialty mechanical fabrication.
Well, I guess that I will go back to enjoying my summer such as it is. Enjoy yours out there by the Pacific Ocean and hope your team does well!
While we wait patiently and more patiently, and there is nothing to do but watch the grass grow and the paint dry and wait for the **Kiln to get hooked up AND of course laze in the hammock with a cold (fill in choice of libation here), I want to ask you seasoned penny stock investors what you're other top stock choice is (in case we need to put our NIO 'proceeds' somewhere when financing is announced and we find ourselves 'awash' in investable/disposable income!!
*Preferably stock(s) under $5
*You have done a hell-acious amount of research on the stock and feel it's ready to pop in less than a year or 2 (but not 5 or 10 yrs. :))
I know... i know..... wrong Message board for other stocks, but how bout' just 'play along' this once.....don't shoot me (or the piano player)- if you don't want to play, no prob, go back to waiting, and reading the 2022 FS (thanks NB :) ) hehe
***Disclaimer*** again, i don't want to get off on a tangent with other stocks on this board, except this one time :)..........
Yadda.....
NCT- inquisitive about the MB 'brain trust's' other investments....
This is the finale for “all the critical mineral marbles!” I’m excited to see what they come up with & announce BM! (Updated Niobium,Scandium, Titanium, along with viable REE’s, CaCO3, MgCO3, & an Fe? as byproducts..very interesting!)
Waiting with you all ….
Chico
They have proven out the process
in small batches. They know the chemistry works. They probably used some kind of laboratory furnace. Now they have to demonstrate that they can do it on a 24 hour a day continuous (not batch) basis. A kiln is basically a continuous furnace that material flows through. I believe Scott said it will be fed at a rate of 10kg per hour.
Thanks to you guys who supplied Jims response. Nice to know!
Also, good to hear this part too:
I would also note that the team at our Ontario facility has been hard at work on a variety of other metallurgical testing processes aimed at optimizing various parts of our improved process flow sheet, including pathways to maximizing recovery rates for separated rare earth elements in our ore".
Thanks GE & Norcal & Jim! Appreciate you all. "Rotary Kilns" - Rotary Coolers?
Continuing to close in on finalizing construction?
I have a pretty good idea
why Jim makes totally clear that he will issue a PR as soon as the demo pant is complete. It kind looks like GE, and Nor Cal, and I all asked him the same questions in the last couple days. That might be what he means by "high level of interest." I have been in cement plants and seen the rotary kilns in them. They are at least ten feet in diameter and several hundred feet long. Once our processing plant gets built it will probably have kilns of that size. I assume what we are waiting for now is a much smaller version of the same thing. I really doubt these are off the shelf items. I imagine they are built to order.
Thanks for your message from Jim too GE.... pretty much the same ....
Thanks NorCal Tommy!
Demo Testing Status from Jim S.- - hot off the press...
"Our vendor reports that they are continuing to close in on finalizing construction of the rotary kilns needed by the demonstration plant. Regrettably, this effort has been impacted by supply chain snafus in Europe that have been exacerbated by the war. We intend to announce publicly when construction of the demonstration plant has been completed and has launched operations.
With the relatively high level of investor interest in the launch of this plant, the date for operational start-up will require issuance of a widely disseminated news release. We certainly look forward to issuing that news release.
I would also note that the team at our Ontario facility has been hard at work on a variety of other metallurgical testing processes aimed at optimizing various parts of our improved process flow sheet, including pathways to maximizing recovery rates for separated rare earth elements in our ore".

NioCorp Developments Ltd. is a U.S.-based mineral development company focused on developing several superalloy metals from the proposed Elk Creek, Nebraska Critical Minerals Mine. NioCorp plans to produce three commercial mineral products — Niobium, Scandium, and Titanium — from a single ore body in the Midwestern United States. NioCorp's Elk Creek Project is highly unique. It is North America's only niobium / scandium / titanium project. It is the highest grade niobium project in North America. It is one of the largest prospective producers of scandium in the world. Once in production, it will initiate the first production in the U.S. in decades of Niobium and Scandium. All three of the Project's proposed superalloy metals have been designed as "Critical Minerals" by the U.S. Government.
NioCorp is a publicly company that is listed on both the Toronto Stock Exchange under the ticker symbol "NB" and on the U.S.-based OTCQX exchange under the symbol "NIOBF." Shares are also traded on the Frankfurt Exchange, under the ticker symbol "BR3."

Overview of the Elk Creek Project: http://www.niocorp.com/elk-creek-project/
U.S. Geological Society description of Elk Creek Carbonatite
"The Elk Creek carbonatite, located south of Lincoln, has the potential to be one of the largest global resources of niobium and rare-earth elements (REE). These REE's have many important applications in industry, including petroleum-cracking catalysis, steel alloying, and glass polishing, and as sources of permanent magnets and phosphorus for television and lighting.
The Elk Creek carbonatite is buried beneath about 500 feet of overlying rock and is known only from drill cores, which, until recently, have remained proprietary. Scientists from the USGS and the Conservation and Survey Division (CSD) of the Institute of Agriculture and Natural Resources at the University of Nebraska--Lincoln have studied drill cores."

About NioCorp
NioCorp is developing a superalloy materials project in Southeast Nebraska that will produce niobium, scandium, and titanium. Niobium is used to produce superalloys as well as High Strength, Low Alloy ("HSLA") steel, which is a lighter, stronger steel used in automotive, structural, and pipeline applications. Scandium can be combined with Aluminum to make super-high-performance alloys with increased strength and improved corrosion resistance. Scandium also is a critical component of advanced solid oxide fuel cells. Titanium is used in various superalloys and has extensive uses in aerospace, defense, transportation, medical, and other applications. It also is a key component of pigments used in paper, paint and plastics.
