Online Filing System Helps Arkansans Find Unclaimed Treasure
Arkansas Auditor’s Office paying citizens 84 percent more claims dollars on new system
February 19, 2014 10:32 AM Eastern Standard Time
LITTLE ROCK, Ark.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--
A new online filing system has more than doubled the number of Arkansans who found unclaimed property in 2013, according to Arkansas State Auditor Charlie Daniels, whose office implemented the service last March. Reports providing detailed filing data reveal just how popular electronic filing has become and show that the office increased the return of unclaimed property dollars by 84 percent over 2012.
“We knew online filing would be an easier alternative to paper claim forms, and the numbers prove it. I am pleased at the impact online filing has had for the people of Arkansas who are trying to claim their money and at the improvements it’s brought to our program”
“We knew online filing would be an easier alternative to paper claim forms, and the numbers prove it. I am pleased at the impact online filing has had for the people of Arkansas who are trying to claim their money and at the improvements it’s brought to our program,” says Daniels.
In calendar year 2012, before online filing was offered, the auditor’s office paid 7,554 claims worth $7,272,205. After a soft launch of electronic filing in January of 2013 and a full launch in March of that year, the auditor’s office had paid 17,689 claims worth $13,426,189 by the end of 2013, a 134 percent increase in claims and an 84 percent increase in dollars paid. Of the total claims paid in 2013, 56 percent were filed online, resulting in the claimant receiving a check within 7 days.
Before online filing, claimants were required to file a paper claim form along with additional documentation such as copies of a driver’s license and a social security card. Because paper claims are more labor intensive, claimants often had to wait up to 30 days to receive a check. While many complex claims such as those with multiple owners or those claiming as heirs are still required to file by paper, online filing has streamlined single owner property claims and has freed up staff to tackle claims that need more attention.
The Information Network of Arkansas (INA) helped develop the online filing application for Auditor Daniels’ office. INA General Manager Amy Sawyer praised the success of the online filing application, noting that “online” also means mobile access. Roughly 30 percent of visitors accessed the new service via smartphone, even further expanding the ease of use and accessibility for claimants.
"The Arkansas Auditor of State is among the first in the nation to take its Unclaimed Property Search from paper to a mobile-friendly online filing system, and we are thrilled to be part of their innovation and success,” INA General Manager Amy Sawyer said. "Our mission is to deliver online solutions that help our Arkansas government partners save time and money while making it easier for citizens to work with them. This dramatic boost in online claim filings is a direct result of the agency embracing new technology and delivering their service in a way that is convenient for citizens."
What does all of this mean for Arkansans? Daniels says it means now is a good time to search for an unclaimed treasure of your own. “There are millions of dollars left to be claimed in the Great Arkansas Treasure Hunt, and getting your money back is only a few clicks away. Just visit www.auditor.ar.gov and start by typing a name in the search box.”
About Unclaimed Property
Arkansas law requires businesses and government organizations to report abandoned property to the Auditor of State after the property remains unclaimed for a specified period of time, usually 1-5 years depending on the type of property. Unclaimed property can include things like credit balances, security deposits, utility refunds, stocks, bonds, cash and even mineral royalties. Once the property is turned over to the Auditor of State, it remains in trust for the original owner or the owner’s heirs to come forward and claim. Since the program’s inception, the Auditor of State has returned over $102 million to original owners of unclaimed property.

The Delaware Division of Motor Vehicles (DMV) and Delaware.gov recently launched a new version of the Delaware Driver License Practice Test on the Windows Phone 7 platform, available at the Windows Phone Marketplace. The driver license practice test also is available for Android and iPhone. All versions can be downloaded at apps.delaware.gov.
The practice test debuted last year as a free and convenient tool to prepare future drivers for the written test required to obtain a Delaware driver license. Driver instructors and students alike have praised the app. The mobile practice test has also proven popular with Delaware’s Spanish-speaking community as a learning tool. DMV Director Jennifer Cohan would like Delawareans to know that, while the app is designed to provide the necessary foundation for novice drivers to meet their new responsibilities, it can also be used by existing driver license holders as a refresher on the rules of the road. She adds: “Mobile Applications are the next level in providing quality customer service to Delaware drivers. It’s my expectation that the driver license practice test will be just the first of many DMV mobile apps.”
The Windows Phone 7 version of the practice test follows last year’s releases of the iPhone and Android versions of the app. Delaware Interactive is the first in the NIC family of companies to make this app available on the Windows Phone 7 platform.
“We’re committed to creating new and convenient eGovernment tools for Delaware,” said Greg Hughes, Director of the Delaware Government Information Center (GIC), which leads eGovernment efforts in the First State. “Delaware Governor Jack Markell has directed us to look for ways to make government more efficient, effective and open; mobile apps and eGovernment tools will help us meet that goal.”
For those without access to mobile apps, an online version of the practice test can be accessed through the DMV’s website, http://www.dmv.de.gov.

The first-ever IDEAS Award recognizes:

Significant contributions to the mission of NASS.
Secretary Gale’s office was honored for its creation of a state tracking and email notification system for proposed rules and regulations. NASS said this cross-agency application has yielded significant results in government economy through operational time savings in many areas.
“My office has brought the legal process of creating, amending and repealing regulations into the 21st century,” Secretary Gale said.
“In a process that can be very lengthy, following up on every proposal manually could be challenging,” he said. “Now, the three agency administrators involved in the regulation adoption process have a tool that will accomplish this for the public.”
The online application was developed in partnership with Nebraska.gov, which is managed by Nebraska Interactive, LLC. Nebraska Interactive builds and manages online solutions that help Nebraska State government realize greater operational efficiencies by allowing citizens to interact quickly and easily with their government.
“We are thrilled that NASS has recognized the online services and the benefits that it brings to citizens,” said Brent Hoffman, General Manager for Nebraska.gov. “It is an honor for Nebraska’s Secretary of State’s office to receive the inaugural IDEAS award, and we appreciate partnering with them.”

OK.gov Unveils Newly Designed Web Portal PrintAlert
Nic (NASDAQ:EGOV)
Intraday Stock Chart
Today : Wednesday 2 May 2012
Today, the state of Oklahoma unveiled a new design and major functional enhancements to the official state web portal, OK.gov. The new and improved OK.gov introduces cutting-edge design and technology to enhance how state government interacts with the citizens and businesses of Oklahoma. The new web portal (www.ok.gov) not only showcases the natural beauty of Oklahoma through spectacular background images, but also incorporates first-of-its-kind technology, such as enhanced searching capabilities and responsive design; allowing the state to effectively deliver an exceptional experience to Oklahoma’s citizens and businesses. “With the launch of the latest OK.gov website, the most innovative technology is being used to provide state government with the opportunity to better interact and serve the citizens and businesses of Oklahoma,” Gov. Fallin said.
The new OK.gov layout was designed in response to the trend Governor Mary Fallin initiated with the launch of her redesigned website last year (ok.gov/governor). OK.gov includes many similarities to the Governor’s website, such as the prominent search bar, stylish swoop in the banner area, rotating current features areas, and the header bar to highlight prominent modules. As the Governor’s look and feel is currently being developed by OK.gov to become the new state agency template, this consistency is intended to instill a sense of familiarity and trust in Oklahoma government by the citizens and businesses that interact with the state of Oklahoma online.
Whether viewing OK.gov from a smart phone, tablet, PC, or Mac, responsive design adapts the layout of the website to the viewing environment of the end user’s device. Users across an extensive range of devices and browsers can now easily access and navigate the information provided on OK.gov, with minimum resizing and scrolling required. To enhance the searching capabilities of users as they navigate through OK.gov, the ‘Companion Search’ utility has been added, which follows users as they scroll up and down the web page. The main search bar contains navigation and most recent/popular content links to help users quickly access relevant information. Social networking platforms, such as Facebook and Twitter, are also prominently displayed in the top banner area to allow one-click access to share pertinent information found on OK.gov.
Some of the other key features of the new portal include:
•Bold new look and responsively designed format
•Enhanced Google powered “Companion Search” bar
•Live OK stats and Twitter Feed
•Easy-to-use Share functionality
•Improved information architecture with added usability & accessibility
•Ever-changing content on the home page
•Photo gallery and Oklahoma information
•Easy access to all Oklahoma Elected Officials’ websites
“Transparent government and innovation are critical components to Governor Fallin’s administration,” said OK.gov General Manager, Mark Mitchell. “As OK.gov is the web portal to Oklahoma government, the revamped website has been developed to meet the more technical savvy demands of Oklahoma citizens and businesses. This new website provides innovative technology and design, such as companion search and responsive design, to deliver the best possible experience and better serve the state of Oklahoma.”
The new web portal is designed and maintained by OK.gov, a public-private partnership with the Oklahoma Office of State Finance and Oklahoma Interactive, a wholly-owned subsidiary of eGovernment firm NIC.

One million background checks have been processed through the official State of Arkansas’ Online Criminal Background Check System. This service was launched by the Arkansas State Police in 2004 in accordance with Arkansas law permitting access to certain criminal history information for authorized entities. The site is located at http://www.Arkansas.gov/criminal.
The Online Criminal Background Check System allows a faster response to the person requesting the check, such as an employer or licensing agency. The system was a collaborative effort between the Arkansas State Police, the Arkansas Crime Information Center (ACIC) and Arkansas.gov. Prior to the online system, state background checks took several weeks. With the new background check system, in most cases the state background check response is instantaneous. The system also allows authorized agencies to access FBI fingerprint check results. This has shortened that response time from months to a week or 10 days.
“By running our background checks online we have been able to greatly streamline our hiring process,” said Renee Bearfield, hiring manager at Parkway Health Center, who has used the system for hiring since 2004.
This service is part of a larger effort to make government services more readily available. The system also simplifies billing. They receive one monthly bill versus mailing a check or money order each time they request a background check.
Access is limited to persons/entities with the signed written consent of the subject of the record. National/FBI fingerprint-based background checks are available for persons with specific access authorization to National/FBI record checks under state or federal law. Users must have an account with the Information Network of Arkansas (INA) to access this online system. Pricing varies depending on the kind of background check requested.

Texas.gov, the official website of the State of Texas, in partnership with the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS), recently launched an improved service that enables Texans to renew their driver license/ID card or change their address online – www.texas.gov/DLRenewal.
One of the most popular services on Texas.gov, the Driver License Renewal and Change of Address application is an easy, more convenient alternative than visiting the DPS office to complete these tasks. Featuring a fresh design and plain language instructions, the service guides users through a simple transaction that takes just a few minutes to complete. The enhanced service is also intuitive and accessible by all Texans:
It functions on all Internet browser platforms, including mobile;
It is also offered in human rather than machine-translated Spanish; and
It is 100% Section-508 compliant, meeting the accessibility needs of users with visual, hearing or other disabilities.
Driver licenses and IDs must be renewed every 6 years, and any Texan who has moved must change their address on file with DPS within 30 days. In order to use the online service, certain eligibility requirements, such as citizenship, age, and warrant status, must be met.
A growing number of Texans are now choosing to go online instead of to a DPS office. Since January 2012, more than 225,000 renewals and change of address transactions were completed online. The response to the enhanced service has also been very positive with comments such as, “Online service was fast and user-friendly” and “Worked great. A wonderful time and money saver.”
And remember, if you are in need of other driver services, Texas.gov/Driver offers Vehicle Registration Renewal, Driver Records, Driver License Reinstatement, and more.

Certified Driver Record Request Now Available Online for Nebraska’s Prosecuting Attorneys

Intraday Stock Chart
Today : Thursday 23 February 2012
The Nebraska Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) announced today that it is offering Nebraska prosecuting attorneys an online method for requesting Certified Driver License Records. The new service allows Nebraska’s prosecuting attorneys to go online to request records by accessing a subscriber-based system and entering information such as name, date of birth, and license number. The DMV processes the request through an Administrative Interface, and then mails the certified document to the requesting attorney. The attorney receives a monthly bill.
The new service replaces a cumbersome process that required attorneys at county and city offices to complete a paper request of a certified driver license and then mail it to the DMV. Once DMV received the requests, which could take up to a week, data entry was necessary to produce the certified documents that were returned to the attorneys.
“Not only does this service provide a more efficient process for the county and city attorneys,” said DMV Director, Beverly Neth, “it also makes my staff more efficient by eliminating data entry and time spent on the individual record request billings.”
To sign up for the new online service, a Nebraska.gov subscription is required and a sign-up form can be found at the ClickDMV portal, the Nebraska Attorney Portal and the Nebraska.gov Subscriber Portal. The DMV currently offers an online Driver License Search specific for Nebraska.gov subscribers and an online One-Time Driver License Search for non-subscribers. These two services, however, do not produce certified records. Attorneys require certified records for court purposes.
Other online Nebraska DMV services:
License Plate Renewal
Specialty Plate Request
Driver License Renewal
Driver License Reinstatement

The West Virginia State Police has launched a new website designed to make information more accessible to the public, announce important notifications, and allow citizens to search and track registered sex offenders in their area. Find it at www.statepolice.wv.gov.
Information readily available on the site includes the most wanted criminals, latest alerts and other important announcements of public interest. Citizens can use the site to:
Report crime
Submit anonymous tips
Request a criminal record check
Search the sex offender registry
“This new website is a valuable resource for citizens throughout the state,” said Col. Jay Smithers, state police superintendent. “The enhanced features expand our ability to inform, educate and notify citizens of missing persons or dangerous situations.” The new and improved online Sex Offender Registry enables users to search for public information about convicted sex offenders by last name, street name, city, county, email address or username. The search also provides a filter to limit the results by wanted sex offenders or sexually violent predators.
According to the state Sex Offender Registry Act, anyone convicted of a sex crime or an attempted sex crime is required to register with the State Police detachment in his or her county of residence. The offender must register their full name and aliases, home address, vehicles or motor home, email addresses or usernames and places of employment, among other information.
“The sex offender registry can be a critical tool for parents, teachers and child care providers to help protect our children from child predators,” Smithers said. “The registry can tell you whether a sex offender is next door, down the street or surfing online for victims.”
The new website was developed by the West Virginia State Police in partnership with WV.gov.

IN.gov and Indiana Attorney General Greg Zoeller launched an Identity theft Prevention Toolkit in an effort to aid Hoosiers in protecting themselves against identity theft through education, detection practices, and corrective procedures.
Identity theft starts with the misuse of your personally identifying information such as your name and Social Security number, credit card numbers, or other financial account information.
The Federal Trade Commission (FTC) estimates over nine million stolen identities each year. Many of these cases go unnoticed by victims while others are not realized until review of a credit report or contact by a debt collector. 4,163 self-reported consumer complaints for identity theft were received by the FTC for Indiana in 2009.
"Identity theft is a real crime with serious costs for victims and that's why our office created an easy-to-use toolkit and webpage that offers help ranging from prevention to identity restoration," Zoeller said. "These resourceful tools now available at your fingertips could help prevent you from losing thousands of dollars, time spent repairing your name or credit and the stress of being victimized."
The toolkit, available at http://www.indianaconsumer.com/idtheft, allows you to keep an inventory of the contents in your purse or wallet in order to contact creditors upon the loss or theft of information as well as detailed notes of all contacts with your financial institutions and law enforcement agencies, including the names, dates, phone numbers, and topics discussed. Account registration is free and quick to complete by creating a secure username and password.
"Identity Theft Prevention Toolkit is the latest online service offering available to the Indiana consumer free of charge through www.IN.gov," said Brian Arrowood, the State of Indiana's Chief Information Officer. "This was created in effort to keep customer information accurate, up to date and accessible from any device that has internet access."

Idaho cities have recognized the value of Access Idaho’s PayPort credit and debit card processing service, as the cities of Meridian, Eagle, and Bellevue signed new contracts with the company recently. “Our customers really like having the option of different forms of payment. They have stated that it’s hassle-free and allows them to keep the job rolling without interruption when needed,” said Mindi Smith-Ferguison with the City of Meridian.
The City of Meridian expanded its services, with three city departments now using the PayPort payment processing service. The City of Eagle started using PayPort to take credit and debit cards for various items such as utility bills and dog licenses, while the City of Bellevue is using PayPort to process utility payments.
“I love it! People who don’t carry cash or a checkbook are very happy that we can take credit card payments,” said Yadira Robles, the City of Bellevue’s Water and Sewer Clerk.
Since no tax dollars were used to develop and maintain the service, a nominal fee is added to each transaction to cover costs. The cities do not keep any portion of the fee.
Kellie McCombs, Eagle’s Utility Billing Specialist said, “We have found the system very user-friendly and have been pleased with the easy transition. The team at Access Idaho has made the switch effortless and basically trouble-free.” The cities partnered with Access Idaho, the state’s official Web portal that specializes in online government applications, for help with setting up and maintaining the service.

N.J. Revenue Division Announces Business Records Now Available Online
Nic (NASDAQ:EGOV)
Intraday Stock Chart
Today : Wednesday 23 November 2011
The state Division of Revenue launched a new suite of online services to speed public access to business records. The upgrade is the second to New Jersey’s business records system this year. It follows a service launched in May that allows businesses to file and search Uniform Commercial Code (UCC) records online. The services are described as part of an ongoing effort by the division to make state government more responsive to the practical needs of businesses that operate in New Jersey.
“Our goal is to provide our customers with the highest level of service,” state Treasurer Andrew Sidamon-Eristoff said. “To that end, New Jersey is reducing friction and eliminating barriers in the day-to-day transactions between State government and members of the business community.”
The suite is called the Business Records Service, or BRS, and offers immediate online access to status reports for business entity and trade name and trade/service marks, copies of filed business entity documents, both certified and non-certified, and business entity, trade name and trade/service mark lists.
The records can now be accessed in digital form, and users can create printed copies of the documents rather than waiting for them to be sent through the mail or picked up at the division’s Trenton office.
The new service is accessible via the state’s Business Action Center at http://www.nj.gov/njbusiness/registration or at www.njportal.com/brs. The online system automatically calculates the service fees involved.
“By providing round-the-clock online access to this vital business content, we minimize mailings, office visits and labor- intensive paper processing,” Revenue Director James Fruscione said. “This saves our customers time and money and helps reduce the size of government operations.”
The Revenue Division is the custodian of many records that are essential to completing business transactions and complying with a wide range of federal and state laws. They include certificates of incorporation/formation, amendments, annual reports and records of other changes filed by corporations, limited liability companies (LLCs) and other business entities. The division also provides access to trade names, the business names adopted by general partnerships and sole proprietors, and trade and service marks filed in New Jersey, which help to distinguish goods or services.
The Business Records Service is a product of a partnership between the State of New Jersey and the New Jersey Information Division of NICUSA. The New Jersey Information Division of NICUSA is the State of New Jersey’s official eGovernment partner and helps New Jersey government entities web-enable their information services.

Today : Thursday 17 November 2011
Middle school students have a new tool to help them prepare for Virginia’s Standards of Learning (SOL) exams. Created by Virginia Interactive (VI), http://www.virginia.gov/virginia.gov/, Master the Math is a mobile educational game that focuses on the mathematics curriculum from grades three through eight. The flexible mobile application can be used on Apple iPods, iPhones and iPads. Master the Math fulfills VI’s promise to the Virginia Department of Education (VDOE) to reinvest the winnings from VDOE’s October 2010 “Standards of Learning Apple Apps Challenge," which recognized VI’s Pass the Past mobile application. Like Master the Math, Pass the Past is an educational game that helps students prepare for Virginia’s SOL exams. Focusing on world, United States and Virginia history, civics and geography, it averages 43 downloads per day and has been downloaded more than 2,000 times. VI is committed to further supporting mobile technology growth in the Commonwealth’s educational system by developing a similar interactive game in another SOL subject area.
“Today’s students are digital natives, and smart phones and tablets are how they stay connected,” Superintendent of Public Instruction Patricia I. Wright said. “Applications like Master the Math allow teachers to tap the appeal and popularity of these devices to supplement and reinforce classroom instruction. I thank Virginia Interactive for its continued interest in developing educational applications for our teachers and students.”
Released September 30, 2011, and available free from the iTunes App Store, the Master the Math mobile application features more than 800 questions from 19 released SOL tests. The application randomly displays unique questions each time a student selects an exam. Questions frequently include visual elements, such as formula sheets, diagrams, graphs and charts. Students can select a difficulty level, view correct answers either during or after the test and retrieve their score history. This flexible mobile application requires no Internet connection and can be expanded easily to incorporate additional future questions as desired by VDOE. Master the Math is more than just a test – its interactive features include sound effects and clues. By selecting a “50/50,” two incorrect answers are eliminated. Hints provide a tidbit of information to help point the student in the right direction. Testers also can take a risk with “Call a Tutor,” who may or may not share the correct answer. All these elements combined create a fun and challenging educational experience.

The Hawai’i State Department of Commerce and Consumer Affairs (DCCA) unveiled the Mortgage Foreclosure Dispute Resolution (MFDR) program, designed to offer owner-occupants of residential property in non-judicial foreclosure the opportunity to meet directly with their lenders to modify their loans or work out an alternative to the foreclosure process.
“The Mortgage Foreclosure Dispute Resolution program came to be through the collaborative efforts of all three branches of government – executive, legislative, and judicial,” said Keali’i Lopez, Director of Commerce and Consumer Affairs. “In addition, the program is a key feature of the Abercrombie Administration’s ongoing commitment to invest in the people of Hawaii and may help prevent homeowners from losing their homes.” The MFDR program is the primary component established under Act 48 (Session Laws of Hawai’i 2011) which sought to implement a comprehensive strategy to reform the foreclosure process in Hawai’i. The program will be funded by fees paid by participating lenders and owner-occupants. Under Act 48, MFDR was required to commence on October 1, 2011, and will continue until September 30, 2014.
Starting today, lenders may begin submitting non-judicial foreclosure notice filings through the program’s website, http://mfdr.ehawaii.gov. To use the electronic filing system, a required subscriber account may be obtained by registering at http://portal.ehawaii.gov/subscriber-services.html.

Two successful eGovernment services in the state of Maine -- the Department of Corrections Online Money Deposit Service and the Judicial Branch Electronic Court Fine Payment Services -- contributed to NIC, Inc. being honored with the prestigious Best Fit Integrator Award for Exceptional Service and Modernization in Portals and Online Services from the Center for Digital Government. NIC is the parent company of Maine Information Network, the State of Maine’s private sector eGovernment portal provider.
“Electronic services are enabling government to provide convenient services to the public in a cost-effective and streamlined way,” commented Secretary of State Charles Summers. “I am pleased at this recognition of Maine’s eGovernment efforts and I congratulate NIC and Maine Information Network on this award.“
The Maine Corrections Money Deposit Service, online at www.maine.gov/online/correctionsdeposit/, developed in partnership with Maine Information Network for the state, launched in December 2010. The online service enables friends and families of offenders to deposit money electronically into a prisoner’s or resident’s phone or trust account, allowing the prisoner or resident to call home or to purchase commissary items. Prior to this service, funds had to be mailed to the appropriate correctional facility for manual processing and disbursement to the individuals’ accounts.
“The new online service has already been highly successful, with more than 3,500 deposits made since December,” said Jody Breton, Department of Corrections Associate Commissioner. “We are very pleased with the results, and appreciative of the work done by Maine Information Network and by the State’s Office of Information Technology on this project.”
The Maine Judicial Branch partnered with Maine Information Network in 2009 to create dual phone-based (IVR) and web-based court fines payment services, available online at www.maine.gov/courtfines/ or by phone at 866-729-8499. Users can make a full or partial payment toward their Maine state court fine via Web or telephone. Prior to the electronic services, defendants had to appear at the courthouse to make a payment, mail a check or money order to the court, or call in to speak with a Court Clerk to pay over the phone.
James T. Glessner, State Court Administrator said, "The 350 percent increase in online and IVR usage in the past year makes clear that the electronic services are a real convenience to the public, and we are grateful for the partnership with Maine Information Network, without whom this could not have been accomplished."
The honor was given to NIC by the Center for Digital Government, a national research and advisory institute on information technology policies and best practices in state and local government. The Best Fit Integrator Recognition Awards is the Center's award program for government to recognize its private sector partners, those companies who work closely with government to tailor solutions to suit the unique needs of government.
NIC was recognized for seven services developed in partnership with six different states, including the two services from Maine. Both of the Maine services were developed and are operated by Maine Information Network at no cost to the state.

Texas.gov, the official website of the State of Texas, in partnership with the City of Houston, launched an enhanced version of the City’s online ticket payment service – www.texas.gov/COHTicketPay. In addition to a fresh design and plain language content, the online service is now mobile-friendly in response to the pervasive use of mobile devices in today’s society.
The online service guides users through a simple, three-step process to pay tickets online or via a mobile device, such as an iPhone or Android:
•Find your ticket using the ticket number and either your last name or offense date,
•Select the offenses you want to pay, and
•Securely make your payment.
Users also have the option of receiving a confirmation email that contains key transaction details.
City of Houston ticket recipients still have the option of using a desktop computer to pay their fines; and other offline methods, such as payment by mail and in-person at the Municipal Courts Building, are available as well.
If a ticket payment isn’t the only driving business you need to take care of, the Texas.gov/Driver page offers a quick, convenient, and fuel-efficient way to complete other driver-related tasks, including Driver License Renewal, Vehicle Registration Renewal, Driver Record Orders, and much more.
Users can also access Texas.gov on-the-go with iPhone and Android mobile applications. In addition, Texas.gov recently redesigned two other popular services for improved mobile usage - Nursing License Renewals and Fund for Veterans Assistance online donations. And, several more mobile-friendly services are coming soon from the State’s official website.
