The Public Employees’ Retirement System of Mississippi (PERS) is pleased to announce the re-launch of its redesigned website (http://www.pers.ms.gov). The new site features a fresh modern look, a new web address, and updated navigation to enhance user experience.
The website redesign is completely responsive so text and images are easily seen on a computer, tablet, or mobile device. Additionally, the site’s content was restructured to help streamline the process for seeking information and large graphics were added to the homepage putting important information right at user’s fingertips.
“This redesign offers a more inviting web experience that marries the established PERS identity with the unique online needs of our users”, said Pat Robertson, Executive Director of PERS. With easily identifiable navigation panels for members, retirees, and employers, website guests are better able to navigate to desired content. “The PERS website is an extremely valuable tool for our employers, members, and retirees. Our goal with the redesign is to add value to the online experience, not only for our members but for everyone who visits PERS online,” Robertson said.
PERS proudly serves the state of Mississippi by providing retirement benefits for individuals working in state government, public schools, universities, community colleges, municipalities, counties, the Legislature, highway patrol, and other such public entities. These retirement benefits not only help recruit and retain a strong public workforce in Mississippi, they help stimulate local economies in every county in the state and help reduce the need for social assistance.
