Not sure but I think these guys got bought out. Can't find a chart for them anymore.. but I haven't been following and have no idea for sure.
what is this trhing
Moving forward independently they will get further consumed by the marketplace and continue to have losses Q over Q. AOL will be able to utilize their tech and inventory. Win win. Plus their CEO is eating their money with his salary.
what's it worth in a buyout vs moving forward independently, the six of one half dozen of the other question?
Mr Barrett and team, appear to have a fair amount of 'business acumen' in the ranks. could 'blossman' yet???
$MM went from a breakdown through support to a breakout past resistance in a flash, very bullish reversal imo.

It's not the first time Millennial Media (MM) has been discussed as an acquisition target.

$MM DD Notes ~ http://www.ddnotesmaker.com/MM
MM can't compete with Facebook. I wouldn't touch this...
With prices at/near 52-week lows, I think the $1.75 to $1.90 price range presents a very prudent entry point particularly in light of yesterday's news that Millennial Media will acquire Nexage, an event largely seen by Wall Street analysts as a positive business move insofar as it adds a key missing piece to MM's business model.
Your entry should be with a mid-term investment mindset as traders typically buy on the rumor and sell on the news. You need to see what other catalysts will lie ahead for MM moving forward.
I wish you profitability in your trading ventures!
Regards,
Ray
I almost bought and still want to as it has to be on a buyout list... I pondered whether Yahoo ad SE is eyeing this. Trading seems to say so but haven't even checked volume on pre-value hunting time for $YHOO .
Yahoo CEO said months ago they were focusing in mobile ... this has to be a target.
What's your thoughts on Millennial Media with the recent activity today?? Posted 8k today confirming the acquisition of Nexage? Just picking your brain... Im thinking of taking a position early tomorrow... TIA..GL
MM: Accumulating more shares here is a very savvy investment; we briefly touched the 52-week low of $2.26 today, shares are relatively cheap at these price level.
I am looking for $3.00 in the mid-term here.
I wish you good fortune with your trades in this ticker as well as in your other investment endeavors!
Regards,
Ray
Yep, Really like the MM potential here...
One of my best radar screening this weekend...
Ya, low RSI with little resistance below $3.3o
Nice MM-Chart ray:Liking the accumulation going on here...
Member Marked you. Thanks!
MM: Poised for a nice move... near the 52-week low, this ticker is a safe investment to move higher. The company has nearly $100 million in cash and no debt.
This company is slowly getting are alive by FB. I would get out while you can.
Will trend up....100m in bank and.patent vault...even a buyout should vet us $6..ez money for.patient holders...should pay off.more then a CD or money market...from.these levels.
i think we'll be fine..to many institutions and funds own this..obviousely no large scale dumping..company predicts revenue in excess of 300m this year..last i saw no debt...should retrace on it's own..or some company swoops in and trys to buy it all on the cheap.
Picked up a boat load around 3. Huge position in one swoop. Glta and me! :)
Should be fine. May take a few months to recover though. Glta.
Bought some more in AH's to average down..$3.54+$5.45=$9....so a $4.50.average..content with that.
You win a few..you lose a few..ouch is an understatement..guess I'm a long now,lol.
back in @ $5.45....hope to get a bounce after q's results r announced after the bell....catching a falling knife????we shall see,gl :)
I boy, guess it was really stupid buying this POS today !!!!!!! Just lost 5g's
No, not if they start showing ads on other apps and websites, which is what I mean by "3rd party publishers". Even if people stop using Facebook, Facebook will show ads to them on other apps and websites. It's the Google Adsense model.
They just announced this too: https://developers.facebook.com/blog/post/2014/01/22/testing-a-new-way-for-developers-to-monetize-mobile-apps
This is a direct blow against MM and all the other mobile ad networks.
Good point. But isn't the majority of their display ads viewed while people are using FB? Wouldn't people leaving have an impact on their reach?
Even if people leave how does that stop their mobile ad network?! They don't need people to compete head on with MM.
Especially with their acquisition of Parse.com that powers 100k apps. That's 3x the number of publishers MM, InMobi, Jumptap, and MoPub have combined.
Please. The kids have already grown tired of FB. A couple more years and FB will be the new myspace. Something will replace them. thats how it works in Social media. When FB is a relict of its former self MM will still be there. So much room to grow.
As soon as FBs mobile ad network for 3rd party publishers goes live MM is done. As an industry insider you should know this.
Looks like you may be right stocky! Nice uptrend happening here. Bought a few the other day.
MM
Decent article, and this stock is definitely underpriced.
However, the pessimism is definitely only coming from the street. As an industry insider I can tell you that NO ONE fears FB and GOOG will bully this stock out of the marketplace. As a matter of fact we use GOOGLE's product - Doubleclick Bid Manager- to utilize MM's inventory.
So in some respects they are competing against Google, but with programmatic inventory they are essentially working together.
If Wall Street knew what Madison Ave. already knows, this stock would be past it's 52 week high tomorrow.
Hello Board,I took a small position here today due to this article that Market Intelligence sent me recently.

The Advertiser: Millennial Media (MM)
Have you noticed that the ads you seeing online and on your mobile devices often have something to do with things you have been doing recently? Millennial Media is one of the companies making that happen. With its proprietary MYDAS technology, Millennial Media can serve video and banner ads to specific, carefully targeted segments of the market. Ad agencies hire Millennial Media for a number of related services, including identifying the optimal target audience, delivering the ads, tracking the performance of advertising campaigns and learning in-depth information about the behaviors of people in specific markets.
At $6.32, MM stock is near its 52-week low. The pessimism seems to be coming from the Street's fear that Google (GOOG) and Facebook (FB), which use similar in-house advertising strategies, could box out their smaller competitor. Millennium is acting decisively to stay in the game, however, having recently purchased its largest independent competitor, Jumptap. What pessimists seem to have lost sight of is that many companies which are rivals of Facebook and Google won't want to advertise on those services and will need an independent company to advertise through. As the last man standing, Millennial could grow by orders of magnitude over the coming years.
MM falling on Earnings Report
I try to cancel my Level-2 access on I-Hub two weeks before my expiration date but they will still charge me for one more month.
What a rip off!!!
I be out before their earning season. I have been burnt with earning on both FB and MM. Good to know and thanks for your info.
In the mean time, I plan to ride the wave otherwise I will cut my losses quickly.
$MM on bounce radar...
Their quarterly growth percentage is falling even though they are in an exploding market.
Example:
Q2 - 2013 Earnings
$MM - $55M
$FB - $770M (mobile only revenue)
