Folks this stock and company is all but dead. The sad thing is the SEC, FBI and local (LVMPD) authorities could care less it seems.
When I made contact with them through out the last year regarding information and evidence I have against Homer Langrill AKA Chef Homer Lee Thomas, they pretended to be interested, but passed the buck to each other and none seemed interested in taking action.
So it would seem we've all been scammed by this scumbag and he is still walking around scamming others and apparently allowed to continue to do so with no fear of prosecution.
I was told by the local authorities, that because he is a non violent offender they don't have the manpower and resources to investigate him and that it would be up to the feds to deal with him if they so desired.
So if you're a scammer and want to get away with it, apparently in Las Vegas, NV it's OK to do so.

Tom - just another miscommunication?
Tom Mills, who says he is a former company president, confirmed he met Pocklington while the ex-Edmontonian was doing due diligence checking out the company Wednesday in Las Vegas. Mills was there in an advisory role.
"I'm absolutely shocked that (Pocklington) did not accept the position," Mills said Saturday.
Mills had no idea how the miscommunication could have happened. "I find that odd."

I will contact the LA and SLC SEC offices today as well as the US Attorneys' offices in LA, NV, and UT.
If anyone else wishes to do the same, I can provide contact information for them.

Sounds like Homer Langrill will be burning the midnight oil with another "emergency shareholder meeting". LOL
"Former Oilers owner Peter Pocklington says he was scammed by a Las Vegas company that invited him to become its director, and then announced that Pocklington had accepted the job when he hadn't".

The SEC needs to be contacted about this situation. The 8-K clearly states that "the following individuals were nominated and have accepted the nominations to the Board of Directors:
PETER POCKLINGTON / CHAIRMAN"

Moe, have you contacted any regulators about this situation? Given Pocklington's, Langrill's, and even Barrus' past run ins with them I would think they would have interest.
My interest here is Barrus since he's from Utah. Never heard of this company before yesterday. Barely remember Pocklington. Never heard of Langrill before yesterday, either.
Glad to see the Vancouver Sun and Edmonton Journal all over this situation.
Not suprising considering the CEO's history. He is going to have a hard time explaining how he is CEO with a ban still in effect.
If Pocklington was scammed and never accepted the board position, then the March 18th press release was False and Misleading.
“You can't grow a company without money and the savvy to make the right acquisitions,” states Pocklington. Today, Peter Pocklington's first move as Chairman of LBTF was to enter into an agreement to acquire Tuky's, a flavored tequila manufacturer in Las Vegas.
Le Bon Table Scores "Puck"
Mar. 18, 2010 (Business Wire) -- Le Bon Table Brand Foods Corp. (Pink Sheets: LBTF) in a late night emergency meeting of the shareholders, has appointed Peter “Puck” Pocklington, previous owner of the NHL Edmonton Oilers and five time Stanley Cup winner, as Director and Chairman of the Board. “We are totally thrilled that he has joined our team," says world renowned Chef Homer Lee Thomas, creator of the Le Bon Table Brand Foods Products. “You just have to know 'Puck' the way we know him. Everything he gets involved in turns to gold.”
Peter H. Pocklington made his fortune as the owner of one of the largest auto dealerships in Canada. By the mid-1970s, Pocklington amassed a conglomerate of food companies known as Gainers Foods, Canbra Foods, Palm Dairies, and other related food companies, eventually building a diverse business empire worth billions. Later on in the late 1970s, Pocklington acquired the Edmonton Oilers.
During their final year in the World Hockey Association, Pocklington, “Puck” as he is known in his Canadian homeland, purchased Wayne Gretzky from the Indianapolis Racers and later signed him to a long term contract. After the team moved to the National Hockey League, in which “Puck” was instrumental in making the move, the Oilers enjoyed a tremendous success, winning five Stanley Cups in a span of seven years.
In 1986, “Puck” made a move to bust the trade union and reduce the wages of his employees in Gainers. A strike ensued and after six months of haggling, the union agreed to his terms, but all too late. Gainers never recovered and was eventually placed into receivership.
Today, Pocklington finds himself embroiled in another battle, but this time in the U.S. In 2002, Pocklington moved to Palm Springs after divesting his holdings in Canada. He involved himself in charities and the arts, and dabbled at building another multi-million dollar empire, “Naturade.” He now finds himself in a legal battle with the courts, but is confident that things will work out just fine.
Le Bon Table Brand Foods Corp., a food, beverage and related products company, manufactures its highly acclaimed “au” Le Cadeau Natural Mountain Spring Water, Le Bon Table Gourmet Dinner Entrees, and the Green Bag of cargo Containers... The Le Bon Table Brand Foods ZCAC Transport Container. “You can't grow a company without money and the savvy to make the right acquisitions,” states Pocklington. Today, Peter Pocklington's first move as Chairman of LBTF was to enter into an agreement to acquire Tuky's, a flavored tequila manufacturer in Las Vegas.

Just saw it, thanks.
Same old story in stinky pinky land. "He said, she said, they said, we said" rumpa-pumpa-dumpa.
Some reporter with the Fresno Bee is covering that THRR rumpa-pumpa-dumpa action. Tim something. He's written a couple of stories on it.
How come "da IHUBbers" get so excited over the sub penny action?
CPRK is always in the Carpal Tunnel (too much posting) Top 10's every day, too.
Have a good rest of the weekend and never bet BYU on anything ever again. They cost me a little $$$ this weekend.
To a reporter, I doubt he would put out a press release.
Too much posting volume on THRR for me right now, standard phony buyout lies to dump shares like so many others before.
Did he put out a press release or is this something he said to a reporter?
You following the THRR action? The next SPNG in the making it appears.
Pocklington claims he was 'scammed'
Former Oilers owner says he never accepted board position

Sounds like trouble is brewing for this one

full article by David Baines
In Friday’s business section, we published a short report from the Edmonton Journal noting that Peter Pocklington had been named director and chairman of the board of Le Bon Table Brand Foods Corp., a Las Vegas-based food and beverage company.
“We are totally thrilled that he has joined our team,” the Journal quoted “Chef” Homer Lee Thomas, the company’s founder. “You have to know ‘Puck’ the way we know him. Everything he gets involved in turns to gold.”
Well, not quite.
Pocklington, former owner of the Edmonton Oilers, has a history of skating on the edge. In August 2008, he filed for bankruptcy, listing $19.6 million in debts and just $2,900 in assets. U.S. Justice Department officials were suspicious. In March 2009, armed FBI agents arrested him at his Palm Springs home and charged him with two counts of concealing assets. A trial is pending. Pocklington’s lawyer, Brent Romney, said in January that his client may plead guilty to a lesser charge to avoid jail time.
Not wanting the facts to get in the way of a good press release, Chef Thomas noted that Pocklington “now finds himself in a legal battle with the courts,” but quickly added that he is “confident things will work out.”
Thomas said he is aware of Pocklington’s “colourful and controversial background,” but was focusing on his business acumen.
The Journal might have reversed the question and asked whether Pocklington was aware of Thomas’s background, which is every bit as colourful and controversial.
In an earlier release, Le Bon Table said Chef Thomas’s skills “came to him when he studied culinary art in Switzerland.” That was when he was operating under his real name, Homer T. Langrill, and learning how to swindle people. According to the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, he incurred $15,000 in rent and telephone expenses in April 1986, then left the country without paying.
He wasn’t always so lucky. In 1985, he was convicted in Guatemala for grand theft and fraud, and served 12 months in a Guatemalan prison. Three years later, he was convicted in Virginia of two counts of wire fraud and sentenced to three years and 16 months, respectively, in jail. After serving these sentences, he violated his parole and was sent back to jail.
In September 1998, he was once again convicted, this time in Oregon for passing fictitious cheques. He was sentenced to 30 months in prison and five years of supervised release. After serving his prison sentence, he once again violated his parole provisions and was handed another two-year sentence.
In June 2003, a Nevada judge convicted Langrill of issuing false and misleading statements about a junior company listed on the OTC Bulletin board, and selling unregistered shares of that company into the market without reporting those dispositions. For these breaches, he was permanently barred from “participating in offerings of penny stock and acting as officers and directors of public companies.”
Le Bon Table is a penny stock offering. It’s listed on the Pink Sheets, a barely-regulated over-the-counter market in the United States, where it is currently trading at the grand price of three-quarters of a cent.
In a filing this week, the company listed Langrill — now operating under the name and guise of “Chef Thomas” — as its administrator. How Langrill can hold this position, given his stock market ban, is not clear. I was unable to reach him at the company’s office on Friday.
Homer’s associates, at least until now, have been just as colourful and controversial. Before Pocklington’s appointment, Le Bon Table’s chairman was Utah promoter James C. Barrus.
Barrus is chairman of National Gold Inc., which claims to have $26.6 billion US worth of assets, mainly mineral properties. (A footnote acknowledges that the asset valuations do not accord with generally accepted accounting principles).
Barrus is also chairman of another junior company called Otis Oil and Gas Corp. Neither of his companies are registered with SEC, but both are listed on the grandly named Pan American Stock Exchange, which bills itself as a “self-regulated Internet exchange.”
This exchange is domiciled in Belize, a well-known tax and secrecy haven. I have been unable to find any other reference to it. National Gold and Otis Oil are its only two listings.
Barrus claims to have received doctorate degrees — three of them, in geology, computer science and theology — all from Westport University. I have been unable to locate any university by that name.
Barrus also offers his own degrees in “constitutional concepts” through Da Vinci University, which once again appears to be his own creation. The university is an adjunct to the Constitutional Concepts Foundation, which is another mystery. It espouses — spews would be a better word — a Christian libertarian philosophy.
One of the resolutions in its garbled manifesto is to “declare the militia to consist of every able-bodied man and woman between the ages of 16 and 60” and to issue arms to each militia member.
Barrus has been listed as Le Bon Table’s chairman from last August to as recently as Thursday. It now appears that the Puck is going to pick up where he left off, wherever that is.

Am not a shareholder or short seller. Saw an old Utah stock promoter's name mentioned (Burrus) and figured you guys would want to read this.
Good luck to one and all.
Pretty interesting situation going on here. I wonder if we'll hear more soon. Can the "Puck" redeem himself here? At least the Acquisition announced is real and not a made up fairy tale... It will be interesting to see how this one plays out. GL

SCAM!
Sounds like Homer Langrill is a coward too.
"I confronted Homer on the phone, and he did the brave thing and hung up".
Homer - Man Up!
Quite damning but true.
Where did you get that infomation?
I am not involved in this project, but I have had recent contact with Langrill. In September, 2009 I was attempting to collect a substantial debt from an individual here in Oregon. Langrill called me, and introduced himself as a fiduciary representative with a firm called First Fidelity. He said that the man who owed me money was his client, and that he had asked Langrill to liquidate some assets and pay me immediately. I was a little suspicious, but, it seemed an easier path than going to court.
Langrill strung me along for a month. He e-mailed and called, always promising that 'payment was just a few days away.' I recorded all of the calls by the way. I'm a writer who does a great deal of research, and I record many of my calls as a matter of habit. When I finally tired of Langrill's BS, and researched him, I discovered the criminal past you have talked about in your posts. For what it's worth, I also learned from an attorney friend In Las Vegas that Homer's purported chef routine and claims of owning a restaurant were bogus. I confronted Homer on the phone, and he did the brave thing and hung up.
The good news is that when I played a portion of my conversations with Langrill for the man who owed me the money, he was terrified. He and Langrill had committed several federal crimes by conspiring across state lines to defraud me, after all. In a few days, I received payment in full for the debt. I have notified the US Attorney of Langrill's activities in this matter, by the way.
Langrill and the man who owed me money have apparently also worked a gold and silver investment scam with seniors here in Oregon.
Good to hear that you folks have figured this guy out.
best,
Brad
candice - come back and tell us more.
where are those photos?
Well as far as unfullfilled promises goes....well I hear ya! My curosity stems from the fact how can so many promises be made for so long and nothing develops. There are small incremental "ticks", but I see that as cash collection to sustain the company/homer until some other poor soul puts in a lot to float some more or longer. Does this company even have an intended purpose of being viable?
hi Steve,
I havent been even watching it for months. Back when I was, there was just too many promises left unfilled. Very tough to get thru to the CEO most of the time. My advice would be to save your money, plenty of other good stocks out there now. This one doesnt even have good volume to trade. All in my opinion
Hey I see your quite active on here and I also noted that you had at least some passing interest in LBTF- I am in the infancy stage of communications and considerations. I dont see a lot of positives about Homer et al of Le Bon, whats your take or any additional info you care to pass on. I am currently on now and will look for your reply. Thanks
I want to learn more about LBTF. Is this company REALLY a company? With flash frozen food? containers? and resort to be built? Bottled water? is Homer really for real, or is he looking for cash to play with? Who is bidding? Talk to me MOE!
Amazing that this POS even has a bid.

I would say most definitely. But it just looked like there was tremendous potential there. In my humble opinion I think Steve was a victim just like everyone else.
Were we duped by Homer and Steve?

*DD* >>>SUNDAY MARCH 15th 2009>>> ***E;mail from Company IR***====>
http://investorshub.advfn.com/boards/read_msg.aspx?message_id=36294845 Dear Dark,
If you were watching the stock market yesterday and namely LBTF stock you most likely noticed our share price plunged from $0.51/share down to $0.02/share. This may have caused some of you anxiety and for that we want to apologize, however this is actually good news. You may have also noticed the volume of shares traded today exceeded 5 million shares! This is due to our IR campaign which kicked off today. Due to SEC rules we were not allowed to give any advanced notice to shareholders. The purpose of today’s trading was to increase the volume of trading and to also shore up the difference between our [bid] Price which was 0.50/share and [ask] Price of $4.00/share. As you will see they are now much closer together and hopefully will remain close from here on.
This was just the beginning. The volume of trading being generated will benefit you in the near term as well. As you know prior to now due to the very low trading volume just a few shares traded in the open market caused huge swings in the share price. Now with the higher volume, if you wished to trade some shares in the future it should not impact the share price as much if at all, depending on the volume traded.
* As the coming weeks progress you will continue to see large volumes of trading continue and we are being told by our team of expert advisors and analysts to anticipate the share price to increase in value over time. So please be patient and feel confident knowing we have some of the best people in the business working with us in this endeavor.
If you have any questions or concerns regarding this matter please feel free to contact me.
Sincerely,
Steve Haase
