The totally annoying news tape has been running across the bottom of my screen for several days now and IHUB really needs to let subscribers know how they can disable it.

The News Tape will be going live tomorrow with some OTC News submitted by our newswire clients. We'll have our newswire news tape feature set up shortly on our newswire product ordering page, so you'll be seeing an influx of relevant OTC and Crypto news each day, plus some general market news.

Only premium members can mute this feature. This tape will be running from 8am EST to 4pm EST Monday-Friday and then will shut off.

I use the every single day. I don't get how they could make the decision to remove it.

And I am sick and tired of seeing "Steinhoff International" today scrolling across the bottom of my screen. Does anyone know how to disable this thing or turn it off?

The scrolling news ticker is extremely annoying and just repeats the same unimportant stuff over and over. I inquired as to how I could disable it and not have to have it and they referred me to this page. PLEASE remove it or give Ihubbers the ability to block or disable it.

So you put an annoying scroll at the bottom of the screen to force users to become premium users. Well, it's not going to work. I'll just use the site much less. Been here since 2007.

Please stop the annoying news scroll at the bottom. It is giving me a headache. Years ago yahoo had a great message board but they changed it making it worthless. It looks like ihub is doing the same thing. Been here since 2007 and always liked the board until now.

Cannot find block element after clicking the stop sign.

Click on the stop sign/ABP at the top of the screen, then click on "Block Element".

Then click on the news scroll. Another window will open for you to approve blocking the element. It's odd that mine blocked automatically.

Also use AB+ but still get news scroll. What's the trick?

I've been using this site since 2005. Tried to be a good boy and done my share of moderation to help keep things civil. Seen a lot of changes in 13 years, but this one takes the cake. I can't leave my computer on a page with this crap taking up memory . I guess I'll do my mod work/ihug connections from a tablet.... unless you plan to bugger that up too.

No. I use AdBlock Plus and didn't realize iHub had started the news feed until people started complaining.
