Plain English "existing us carbonate producer" there are only 2 in the United States. Western was an added bonus.
..........If used accurately...........no matter the source.........
Language is clear. Words matter
............Until proven, all considered true is conjecture............

Maybe I'm reading too far into "IBAT will immediately begin mobilizing the MDLE plant to the customer’s site where it will be integrated into existing production facilities."
And
"The Customer is a significant producer of metals and minerals including the production of battery grade lithium carbonate."
There are only 2 carbonate producer in the United States. Both are Western United States- Albermarle at Silver Peak & US Magnesium LLC in Utah.
I have listed who I think and why they might be IBAT "OUTSTANDING CUSTOMER" with facilitieS, plantS and other metals and minerals.
The potential list is only a handful out of the 50 plus lithium brine / lease resources in the Western U..S. who can go into production now.

My favorite choice for where the MDLE might be, Berkshire checks off so many blocks making them a "outstanding customer"
Ever since the Jan 11 IBAT P.R came out, talking about facilities and plants in plural stood out immediately to me. I might be reading to much into the plural "S" but Berkshire is the only lithium resource in the Western U.S. to use
facilities and plants openly on their websites along with IBAT now. Subtle subliminal message…
“Our MDLE Plant is the industry leading direct lithium extraction technology available today. We are very excited for this opportunity to reach full commercialization and look forward to future developments with our outstanding Customer,” commented John Burba, Founder and Chief Technology Officer.
"my take on future developments with outstanding customer. Berkshire has 10 geothermal plants, hook up first mdle to one geothermal plant to prove it works as advertised and they will need 9 more mdle for future developments"
“We are very pleased with achieving this significant milestone for IBAT. The opportunity to integrate our MDLE Plant with a Customer who has existing production facilities is an outstanding outcome, accelerating the full commercialization of our technology and achieving meaningful product revenues” Garry Flowers, Co-Chief Executive Officer added.
Berkshire Hathaway Energy, the sprawling holding company with multiple subsidiaries, including NVEnergy, already operates 10 geothermal power generating plants on the southern shore of the Salton Sea, and recently commissioned a pilot facility to test the feasibility of extracting lithium from brine.
Salton Sea has a GOLDILOX BRINE ON STEROIDS.
It was just confirmed at the end of 2023 to have the largest geothermal lithium brine resources in the world with the highest lithium ppm in the U.S. The brine temperature is over 1000 degrees which is perfect for making steam to run the geothermal power plants and the super hot lithium brine would probably need additional cooling towers to get the temp down for the MDLE. Cooling towers will be a lot cheaper than having to heat the lithium brine up continuously like other potential outstanding customers in the Western U.S like U.S. Magnesium and Albemarle, their lithium brines will need an expensive source of heat to heat the lithium brine to a sweet spot before processing through IBAT MDLE and their ppm is nowhere near the Salton Sea ppm levels.
Burba knows what he's dealing with since he spent his Simbol years creating a valuable learning experience at the Salton Sea.
Companies are racing to mine in California's 'Lithium Valley'
https://www.thecooldown.com/green-tech/california-minerals-lithium-valley-ev-mining-energysource/
100% ESG Unlimited Geothermal Electricity to operate MDLE
The Salton Sea region, for example, is considered to be one of the largest potential reservoirs of lithium in the US, and a number of companies are developing processes for extracting lithium from high pressure and high temperature wells. This area is one of the largest geothermal energy sites in the country, with more than a dozen plants producing electricity from wells thousands of feet deep that bring hot mineral-rich water to the surface, running turbines that produce electricity, then injecting the water back into the ground. Many of these plants are now owned by BHE Renewables, a division of Berkshire Hathaway, Warren Buffett’s holding company, based in Omaha. One of the plants has been converted to a lithium recovery demonstration project, with funds from the State of California and from the Department of Energy. The project extracts lithium from the brine that normally circulates through the geothermal system. If proven successful, other geothermal plants may be converted to do the same. https://clui.org/newsletter/winter-2023-46/lithium-dreams
That's why the DOE has been funding the exploration of lithium sources inside the United States. As part of that effort, it gave a $14.9 million grant to Warren Buffett's Berkshire Hathaway Energy to study the area surrounding the Salton Sea, which straddles Riverside and Imperial counties in the California desert.
https://finance.yahoo.com/news/worlds-largest-ree-lithium-discovered-160012987.html
IBAT states "The Customer is a significant producer of metals and minerals including the production of battery grade lithium carbonate." Berkshire checks this box, why would Buffet want to waste years trying to reinvent the wheel inventing a DLE. The Oracle is a businessman and all about making things work better for bigger profits with proven technology.
Advancing Clean Energy Through Mineral Development
BHE Renewables is advancing lithium production research in California’s Imperial Valley. Lithium - the critical mineral used in lithium-ion batteries to power cellphones, laptop computers and electric vehicles - can be found in the brine processed at BHE Renewables’ geothermal facilities. A demonstration project to recover lithium from the geothermal brine was placed in-service in 2022, with a demonstration project to produce battery-grade lithium carbonate planned to be on-line in 2023. Upon successful completion of the projects, construction of the first commercial plant could begin as soon as 2024, leading to an environmentally responsible domestic source of lithium. The energy used for lithium production would be 100%

It could potentially be cheaper. So in a lot of ways, DLE could solve some of the problems we're seeing with lithium extraction and resolve some of these conflicts now. That does depend on whether it can be deployed on a commercial scale, but I think the reason you're seeing this interest is because, the first company, the first few companies that are able to do this are probably staying to make a lot of money.

🚀 Do you know what some lithium brine looks like during a pumping test?
✔️Pumping tests are a fundamental aspect of hydrogeology, and this is no exception with lithium brine.
✔️Allow the evaluation of well behavior and the hydraulic characteristics of the associated aquifer using standardized methodology.
✔️During a pumping test, the flow rate (Q), the pumping water level, the piezometric level, the total dissolved solids (TDS) in the water, etc., are measured.
With the collected data 📋, hydraulic parameters such as maximum flow, maximum pumping water level, hydraulic conductivity, transmissivity, specific yield, and storage coefficient are calculated 📊.
In the context of brines 💧, pumping tests are crucial to understand aquifer dynamics 🔀 and ensure sustainable exploitation of lithium brine resources.

Mexico moves to nationalize lithium mining
Authors: Dante Trevedan Hernán González
Global | Publication | abril 2022
Shortly after the controversial Constitutional bill submitted by President Andres Manuel López Obrador (AMLO) to overhaul the Mexican power sector was rejected by Congress, AMLO's administration submitted—and the Mexican Congress passed—a reform to Mexico's Mining Law that materially changed the lithium mining regulation and projects outlook (the Lithium Reform).
The Lithium Reform was submitted, discussed, passed, published and became effective in just a few days. Among other regulatory changes, as of April 21, 2022:
Lithium is now expressly classified as a strategic mineral, which means that lithium exploration, exploitation and use are deemed a matter of public interest (utilidad pública) expressly reserved in favor of the people of Mexico (el pueblo de México).
No concessions, licenses, contracts, permits or authorizations for the exploration, exploitation or use of lithium will be granted to private parties. Instead, those activities are to be entrusted to a new federal public instrumentality (organismo público descentralizado) to be created for these specific purposes and to "manage and control" lithium value chains.
The Lithium Reform has been widely criticized by political parties not aligned with AMLO's administration and other private players in the mining industry who have questioned whether the Mexican government has the expertise, funds and capabilities to develop a lithium value chain and have raised budgetary concerns for the new federal public instrumentality to operate. The latter is expected to be clarified within the next few days. The Lithium Reform provides that, within 90 business days as of April 21, 2022, AMLO shall issue the relevant administrative order that formally creates the new public instrumentality.
Days before the Lithium Reform was formally passed, AMLO publicly announced that all existing lithium concessions would be subject to review by the Mexican government. This is particularly relevant since the transitory provisions of the Lithium Reform expressly provide that "laws and regulation contrary to the Mining Law [as amended by the Lithium Reform]" are to be repealed.
Any actions by the Mexican government seeking to revoke, cancel or reverse a concession validly granted or any other expropriation or eminent domain actions may give grounds to the affected party seeking judicial and/or arbitral relief. While these and other potentially adverse actions should, of course, be reviewed on a case by case basis, any such governmental actions may be construed as unconstitutional and/or contrary to international treaties to which Mexico is a signatory (including but not limited to the CPTPP and other bilateral or multilateral investment treaties, which could open the door for companies that currently hold lithium concessions to demand compensatory damages to the Mexican government through investment arbitrations).
Similarly, the Lithium Reform may potentially impact contractual relationships entered into by investors and/or mining companies prior to its enactment, potentially triggering claims for breach of contract, early termination, force majeure events, change in law and/or material adverse effect provisions. Relevant parties should review whether any contractual changes or notices are necessary, required or convenient to preserve their interests as applicable in each case.
While Mexico's lithium potential has not been as explored as other countries in the region, according to publicly available information, the state of Sonora in Northern Mexico holds one of the world's largest lithium reserves.

I am not too worried about the lawsuit. The milestone shares have already been given to the plaintiffs. Now they are just arguing that they should be allowed to sell them and they have experienced damages by having them restricted.
Also, they’ve been trying to get royalty payments on revenue that hasn’t happened yet. There is no dispute that once revenue starts they will get royalties, but not a minute sooner.
Thanks Shmackers! It appears that the legal process and Lithium development travel at the same speed... Must be passing thru a school zone. S l o w
I have seen no indication that a judgment is coming anytime soon. This is the list of documents that both sides had tried to keep confidential. The judge said in the spirit of judicial transparency that wasn’t gonna happen. So these are now the redacted documents as both parties have agreed. Next step is for the judge to review all of them and see if she agrees with their version.
What does this court action mean? No dates listed..Judge did not sign it..?..Thanks Trader..
Thanks trader. Great days ahead. 2024 will be our year. Lithium prices will grow as demand occurs and expensive projects come to a halt. Imo
The feeling is mutual for the many longs here..Spin the wheel, lets make a deal..with whom ever has the bucks to make IBATs Tech the way to get Lithium Bicarbonate to market in the most environmentally friendly, cost effective method.. IBATs MDLE is the way to go.the early bird will get the worm..IMO..Nowza the time to do so ..Secrets are to be told sooner than later we hope..US Magnesium being a private company has a very private, secretive, highly protective John Burba, who has been going to great efforts in protecting his patents..doing so, he hired a big patent protection firm for 600K(in shares I say to be paid out) to watch out for anyone trying to copy cat his Tech ..Patience Grasshoppers .Time to snatch the pebble(s) from Burbas Hand will come in due time...
Yes tom16, it would be great ..Looks like we wait...We need news ..Coming Soon..Today would be nice to hear a bit of goodness..
..........Your thinking does complement the premise...........that's a definite perhaps..........
My take is since US Mag is a private company they want to keep it that way. I imagine there is nothing definitive until acceptance testing meets agreed criteria. EOM April is my guesstimate on production update.
......Feel like I'm back in the Sixties, watching Monty Hall and "Let's make a Deal" waiting to see what's behind Curtain # 3........

While waiting for the announcement of the list of strategic and protected salt flats, within the framework of the National Lithium Strategy, our president for Latin America, Rodrigo Dupouy, spoke with Diario La Segunda about what is expected on this day. 📰🎙️
"These are definitions that we have been waiting for several months. It is an important step to begin to have a little clearer rules for the development of new projects in Chile, although there would still be other variants to be cleared. For example, the bidding mechanisms for the salt flats that will be declared as exploitable," he said.

Yikes! Reading about a heavily funded private company out of Oakland that says they have a proven, patented DLE modular plant...Lilac Solutions. Claim they are doing something at Great Salt Lake. Be great if IBAT could get court case behind them and be first to production at any site.
So IBATs contract customer probably is US Magnesium LLC.? Are they are major player for IBAT?..Whats their stock price?...They are the largest producer of Primary Magnesium in North America and operate out of Salt Lake City Utah..Environmental concerned company for sure..Anyways ...No judges decision yet on the court case..Sucks this silence..

There are only 2 carbonate producers in the Western United States. Us Magnesium LLC. and Albermarle. Albermarle is not using DLE to expand Silver Peak so.
Yes IBAT has a contract(s) in place in western US with whom ? the confidentiality agreement for now cannot disclose.OK.The IBAT tech it is my understanding, that IBATs tech/components can be leased out ..Burba talked with Exxon Mobil about its MDLE .Burba We hope would cut a good deal id imagine, or walk..If the Shoe Fits, Wear it..Might be the case about that Arkansas Smackover Brine(how many acres?)...Sold to Exxon Mobil by Galvanic Energy CEO Brent Wilson..Exxon Mobil has enough money for sure..IBAT is the only commercially proven DLE tech tested by first SLR, and later by Greg Mehros Group..No slouches and the testing proved great, with not just that Arkansas Smackover brine, but many other different composed brines..So we can dial in the settings according to the brines to be extracted.IBAT has the tech, and that means many deals are to be in its future...Partners wilI be multiple..Plants and tech will be sold/leased by Burba..Hes got this..this time around..IMO.Here Come the Judge? Whats Up Doc? Lets have the judges decision already..or when ever you give it to us investors?? Enquiring minds want to know.LOL...Also, that new patent not being PRd ....would have been nice... They are geering up for growing a top 3 Small Cap Nasdaq Company..IMO..
I'm not sure if I am the only one to read IBAT release that the customer us an existing carbonate producer in the Western United States. Permits in place, unit in site. Factory acceptance testing starting / has commenced and initial production expected by EOM April.

Thanks Gregcod! Good summary of what we all hope is happening with Exxon in Arkansas. In addition, I'm looking forward to finding out where John placed his initial plant and who he partnered with in the Western State location that's been publicized, but not defined (Salton Sea???). I'm also ready to see Ensorcia get going with their Burba modules in South America and Europe (France). In fact, since IBAT's DLE plants are the quickest to production, most cost efficient and are environmentally friendly... shouldn't all Lithium producers be using them. Stop me! Time to wake up...
Wow! What a great dream.
Now, let's see if the court will give us any real info today.
Well, here I go again saying that I believe that Arkansas Galvanic Energy CEO Brent Wilson sold Exxon Mobil on John Burbas MDLE Extraction Plant that got positively wowza twice review by experts.Wilson said IBATs tech is everything it was said to be..and more..He told that to Exxon Mobil that the smackover brine is perfectly match with IBAT tech that it is the perfect temperature,(200 degrees Celcius). and that IBAT delivered as promised. No heat exchangers needed for that hot brine! Low cost.and I believe Exxon Mobil is using IBATs tech,,and a plant(s) are multiply being built on the cuff as we speak. The video says that not alot land is needed.(IBAT),...and that the DLE is environment friendly. The absorbant ion material being used...to me it sounds like we have a perfect fit as Brent Wilson of Galvanic Energy stated..Wilson/Galvanic Energy sold that Arkansas Smackover to Exxon Mobil ! Makes sense as the video sways us into thinking that it IBAT and Exxon Mobil have deals going on..Gut Feeling..and I am not alone in this thinking as the last two post would point to.. Your Thoughts?
Thanks TC.
Interesting Video.
Looks like a duck...
Quacks like a duck...
Could it be John's ugly DLE plant?
Hoping for a Swan.

Snowing in New York, up early and doing some research..SQM doubles downon Lithium Boom as Peers Go on the Defensive.. On the edge of Chiles Atacama Desert, one of the worlds biggest lithium refineries(Albamarle?) is about to get alot bigger..Well they wont get bigger unless they do it in a Eco Friendly way..The only way to do it in Chile and Argentina is using an extraction method thats already licensed in both countries is IBATs Tech way..IMO..The water and the environment in both countries are too vital to undergo any more the older methods that destroyed the water supply and fauna..Argentina has already recently shut down projects by Acadian Company....spelling im not sure its correct..Why? Because of the water and environmental concerns..IBATs tech got approved and licensed there for that reason..Sorcia/Chemlys/IBAT has an agreement with Argentina Gov already..But We know we are the early bird..lining up the Ducks is happening as we speak..All Quiet news wise.OK.Big Dominoes Effect will take place as IBAT will show its first contract partner was no fool in hooking up with IBAT and Dr.John Burba..We wait for Monday the 25th for the judges anticipated dismissal of the court case, and in IBATs favor hopefully..IBAT currently building/assembling/upgrading that original St.Charles plant to be 8,000 metric tons per annum..Revenue and projected revenue will make the pps unfold as IBAT gets to disclose that western US major lithium/metals company its contracted with..Until then the confidentiality agreement between the two parties is highly being respested as we shareholders are seeing/feeling..Patience is running thin for many of course, LOL....Burba did not come this far to fail.IMO.Next week some news will start trickling in..Starting with the court case on Monday the 25th..We should here bout that next week before friday..Till then, Dreaming on getting that extra retirement money from IBATF to get to ocean to fish/party my life away... in Jimmy Buffet & Bob Marley Style..Too Cold in New York, even after the y warmest winter w no snow ever I seen.Seen Enough winters so Go IBAT Go!
Insiders know that IBAT is here to Grow... Those Shares allocated to the board members speaks volume about the direction Burba and company are going..Up! IMO..After today..after I buy some more shares of IBATF, I will have over 25,000 shares.. not boasting,... but for me,.... thats enough for this investment..Im happy where im at....will wait...next for the judges decision on March 25th next week..hope the judge decides in IBATs favor so we can move on from this old baggage. Thanks Trader for that post about the Judge deciding on March 25th extension... Good things coming Soon.IMO.
