Any Idea why this PR is posted under CKDN? "Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute: New Approach Sheds Light on Ways Circadian Disruption Affects HumanHealth
Jul 16, 2008 (M2 PRESSWIRE via COMTEX) -- Growing evidence indicates that exposure to irregular patterns of light and darkness can cause the human circadian system to fall out of synchrony with the 24-hour solar day, negatively affecting human health -- but scientists have been unable to effectively study the relationship between circadian disruptions and human maladies.
The Daysimeter, shown above, measures an individual's daily rest and activity patterns, as well as exposure to circadian light -- short-wavelength light, particularly natural light from the blue sky, that stimulates the circadian system.
A study by researchers in Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute's Lighting Research Center (LRC) provides a new framework for studying the effects of circadian disruption on breast cancer, obesity, sleep disorders, and other health problems.
Light and dark patterns are the major synchronizer of circadian rhythms -- the biological cycles that repeat approximately every 24 hours -- to the solar day. Inadequate or irregular light exposure can cause circadian rhythm disruptions that are believed to manifest into a variety of health ailments. However, ecological studies to measure human light exposure are virtually nonexistent, making it difficult to determine if, in fact, light-induced circadian disruption directly affects human health.
LRC researchers have created a small, head-mounted device to measure an individual's daily rest and activity patterns, as well as exposure to circadian light -- short-wavelength light, particularly natural light from the blue sky, that stimulates the circadian system. The device, called the Daysimeter, was sent to 43 female nurses across the country to measure their daily exposure to circadian light, according to Mark Rea, director of the LRC and principal investigator on the project.
The Daysimeter was worn for seven days by both day-shift and rotating shift nurses and then returned to the LRC for analysis. Simultaneously, Rea and his colleagues studied the effect of irregular light exposure to the circadian system of 40 rats, in order to determine if the relationship between circadian disruption and health outcomes could be uncovered using rodent models.
Twenty rats were exposed to a consistently repeating pattern of 12 hours of light followed by 12 hours of dark, to mimic the light exposure experienced by day-shift workers. The remaining rodents were exposed to irregular 12-hour patterns of light and darkness.
For the nurses, circadian entrainment and disruption was measured by comparing exposure light and darkness with each individual's rest and activity patterns. Wheel running was used to measure rat rest and activity patterns.

Nope. Would of showed up on the daily list and would of been at least one or two posts on it. Its probably a late night maintenance from your broker. Sometimes symbols dont show up during those updates.
Dude, my shares of CKDN just disappeared out of my brokerage account.
Did the symbol get deleted?
depends. A lot of shells do RS's. Some dont care and do FS's and those seem to move really well, even to the dollars b/c of FS players. CKDN is unique b/c this guy took over his own old shell! Just like the CEO of CHML that I recently found. Also there are many others that do it. Some do it b/c they wait for taxes to ride over or state debt rules. Sometimes there seems to be a 10 yr rule. You see a lot of out of business 97 shells get redone in 2007 and 98 in 2008 and so on.
But since this guy still has his own shares he would much less likely do a RS. Its seems they are reusing it for their private co. Some other people would just sell their old shell for cash. Even if so that way the RS factor is still less likely. B/c some shells these guys dont get those insider shares from the old CEO etc. In that case they increase the AS and get those extra shares. That way a RS is most likely. Just depends on what the lawyer did when acquiring the shell, whether a good business takeover or a negative corporate takeover you hear about when they just take it by force. Heck most of that time is prob b/c they cant find the old insiders. A lot of these people dont want anything to do with their old co or in a lot of cases they pass away or something.
I've been wondering. How does the OS of a shell affect the decision for a company looking to reverse merge with it. Do companies prefer a high OS or a low OS, like CKDN. Also when a company does reverse merge does the shells current OS determine how many new shares will be issued when the meger is done. For instance since CKDN has such a low OS(extremly low)is it safe to say that if a merger is done there wont be as many new shares issued then with a shell with a higher OS?
How does the price move when there's no volume?
First let me say I apologize to all on this board for the nuts at EESO following me to this board.
Scott64
Sorry bud, but no I'm not. It actually has much more potential of moving up then EESO.
Why is pointing out that a company diluting it's stock bashing...Scott64 please buy all of eeso you can at the open on monday please!!
PAPAPOO ugg, It's too bad he shows up here . Nice to see THT3rd and Moneymade here, I know somthing good happenin.

twiddlin' my thumbs on this one still buddy, got kinda used to seeing the red numbers lol
I'll wait it out, hopefully we get some action by the end of the summer.
Someone needs to call the doc and tell him it's ok to come out and play now...lol.
The Dr. is. His lawyer did the paperwork on the DE SOS, the same person I spoke to on the phone. His specialty is "mergers and acquisitions"! So what does that tell you?
If Michael Anthony or David Stocker was listed on the DE SOS you would automatically say "this shell is reactivated" Its going to RM soon. So if one says that then how can one not draw the same conclusion of the Dr.'s lawyer who specializes in the same practice of all the know shell buyers signs off on the shell CKDN?
Got to follow the paper. Its a full circle and the DR, Circadian, and the lawyer are all in it.
So who is the owner of this shell!
Sorry, paps, but I'll post wherever I like.
Just be fair on how you present your info.
Cheers,
Thurston
stick to the eeso board.
my point here was not about eeso. circadian claimed they have no intention of going public in the "near future".
I was mearly pointed out that is a perfectly legal term and still be able to do something in the near future, near future can be anywhere from 1 minute from now to 50 yrs from now.
oh, pap, you're not telling the whole story on the EESO increase.
did you mention they just got a $2M contract and they're going through huge growth? You should give the whole perspective.
My point is, not all dilution is bad, my friend.
Cheers,
Thurston
CKDN is reminding me of EESO I hope. The EESO ceo said they don't see any need to issue new shares " FOR THE FORSEABLE FUTURE" sure enough a month later he says they plan on adding 125Mil shares to the OS--I sold EESO of course on the news.
Obviously saying "Forseable future" a CEO can't be wrong. So lets hope Cicadian saying "foreseable future" meant they plan on doing it soon but don't want anyone to know anything is going on. So "foreseable future" is the perfectly legal thing to say.
My guess on this so far is that they had some non disclosure agreement and all of a sudden we come out finding out the RM and the crap hits the fan. So they scramble and try to make it look like nothing is going on. Trying to cover their butts with the lawyer and the SEC for leaking info out without the proper paperwork.
Just a matter of time before we hear something.
yep, good to see some people taking nibbles...maybe any day now on a filing hopefully.
little more buying. This stuff always happens with shells. I think we moved too fast then that bomb shell PR messed everything up. We had a bad sell off and now its rebounding in very good time.
lol nope not me but got me bid in. waiting to see if any whacks come my way.
did u ask slap today? weeeeeeee lol
I was always convinced.lol Just way to many things here to ignore. People are frustrated of course, and I dont blame them for the stock price being down which is understandable. But everyone has to look at the big picture here and understand how these shell plays work and look at the history of them.
glad to see your still convinced!
Its not the wrong company. em
Hey you guys wanna update your Ibox?? Now that it has been determined this is obviously the wrong company....
Yep no sense in selling. Its going to rebound from here soon. I hope to get filled next on the bid.
Have no choice but to hold on to my shares now as I'm down 90% lol
I had a buy in at .002 for 100k and no fill. Im just going to add down here to the areas I missed on the first run. I got in first but chased later on past .0025. But this is the reality of shells I guess. Most get in for a quick flip and move on not worrying about whats to come of the shell b/c they know eventually they can get back in if they want. There are some shells that dont look back but CKDN went up real fast and we didnt have any charts for those type of players. Matter of fact stockcharts never put my 15 requests up for a chart....

CKDN froze at .008 with 7800 shares sold for the last couple days. No interest or something going on...
No more bought here..I have enough...
The volume is also just before the reactivation on new years day.
Not sure I saw a couple of those in the past few years. Maybe someone got word that the company was doing a r/m and bought real early? Not sure why so much volume would happen like that for nothing then hear no word on the message boards.
Anyone have a clue what the volume spike was for in Dec 2006?

You bought more on Friday?
Yup, I'm waiting to see. Don't mind it either. This is actually less than when I first got into this so a little more right here might be what the doc ordered.
Here's a promotion example I've found, RVGD paid thebullpick/qualitystocks.com $20k for highlight on their website. This post also contains many different stocks, some of which paid for by unknown third parties.

Anyone knows what real pennies does with these? Do they actually charge for features. Why is CKDN referred to as a shell?
As cutting rog pointed out. They were a Califonia filed company then went defunct. Refiled in Delaware and went defunct again. So as for the PR Circadian is not associated with a defunct Califonia corp.
You would think since people were bugging them they would have also ruled out the entire network not just that individual company.,
According to that PR that Circadian put out, they never ruled out the entire Circadian network of companies as a whole not going public, only that specific company as an individual entity. Or is this just wishful thinking.
"It has come to our attention that one of our entities, Circadian, Inc., a privately owned, recently incorporated Delaware corporation, has been misrepresented on several investment websites as being traded under the symbol CKDN.PK. As a privately owned company, Circadian, Inc. is not being traded and is not in anyway associated with a long defunct Californian corporation which used the name Circadian, Inc.
Circadian, Inc. is part of the network of Circadian companies (www.circadian.com), each of which is a separate and independent legal entity. Circadian, Inc.(by itself) is not traded publicly nor does the company have any intention of being a publicly traded company in the near future."
