PR Newswire
XIANYANG, China, Oct. 2, 2012
XIANYANG, China, Oct. 2, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Biostar Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (NASDAQ GM: BSPM) ("Biostar" or "the Company"), a PRC-based manufacturer and marketer of pharmaceutical and health supplement products in China for a variety of diseases and conditions, today announced that on September 24, 2012 it signed a one-year agreement to manufacture and supply Xijing Hospital with three new drugs: Gastritis Granule, Pharyngitis Granule and Nasosinusitis Granule.
This agreement is valued at approximately RMB 24 million (or approximately $3.6 million); starting in October 2012, Biostar will deliver the first monthly supply valued at approximately RMB 2 million (or approximately $0.3 million).
These three drugs will be exclusively sold at and given to patients admitted to Xijing Hospital for treatment. Gastritis Granule is used to treat chronic and atrophic gastritis; Pharyngitis Granule is used to treat acute and chronic throat inflammation; and, Nasosinusitis Granule is used to treat acute and chronic sinusitis.
Xijing Hospital (http://en.fmmu.edu.cn/affiliated_hospitals/fsyyej.jsp?urltype=tree.TreeTempUrl&wbtreeid=2497) is a military hospital managed by The Fourth Military Medical University ("FMMU"), one of China's most prestigious military medical universities and research centers. Of note, in January 2012, Biostar was selected to be one of only nine pharmaceutical companies in China to cooperate with FMMU in the fields of research and product development. Since then, Biostar has worked closely with FMMU's staff to carry out experimental tests of products covered under the cooperation agreement, including the three drugs mentioned above.
Ronghua Wang, Biostar's Chief Executive Officer and Chairman, commented, "We are pleased that due to our excellent R&D and manufacturing capabilities, we were able to quickly and successfully complete experimental tests and trial production for all three products. In August and September, once we successfully passed manufacturing technology and quality inspections, we purchased raw materials to start production and we are currently manufacturing all three drugs, which as per the agreement, will be sold directly to Xijing Hospital."
Mr. Wang concluded, "We will continue to work with FMMU's staff to share resources and ideas and to carry out clinical trials for additional new products, which will help us become a production base for manufacturing drugs specifically for the needs of China's military. We are looking to expand our relationship with Xijing Hospital for more than a dozen new drugs for which we currently have the technology to manufacture at our facilities."

VALV declares 1 for 2 reverse stock split -
TIANJIN, China, March 8, 2012 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Shengkai Innovations, Inc. (Nasdaq:VALV - News) ("Shengkai" or the "Company"), a leading ceramic valve manufacturer in the People's Republic of China (the "PRC"), today announced the Company will implement a 1 for 2 reverse stock split of its issued and outstanding common stock ("Reverse Split"), effective on Friday, March 9, 2012. The Reverse Split was approved by the shareholders of the Company on the 2012 Annual Meeting of Shareholders on December 22, 2011. The Company's common stock will continue to trade under the symbol "VALV" on the Nasdaq Global Market after the Reverse Split.
Immediately upon the Reverse Split becoming effective, every two shares of common stock of the Company prior to the Reverse Split will be combined into one share of common stock of the Company. Any owner of less than a single full share of common stock after the Reverse Split will receive a full share of common stock in lieu of the fractional share. The Reverse Split will reduce the number of shares of common stock outstanding to approximately 16.7 million shares from approximately 33.3 million shares, based on the number of shares outstanding as of March 8, 2012.
The Company's transfer agent, Broadridge Corporate Issuer Solutions, Inc. will process the corporate action. The Company's shareholders are required to exchange their current stock certificates for new stock certificates reflecting the adjusted number of shares as a result of the Reverse Split upon receipt of instructions and documents necessary to obtain the new certificates from Broadridge Corporate Issuer Solutions, Inc.
AIVI...great chinese company. Opened new LED TV factory in January. Read the filings, lots of profit and legit auditors to top it off. Extremely undervalued imo. picked up 25k sahres at .13 average, I feel it goes dollar bound in the not so far future
(CBLY) Research Update $5.00 PT
Q1 FY12 Research Update
China Bilingual Technology and Education Group, Inc. (“CBLY” or the “Company”) reported its first quarter result on January, 2012. Due to the acquisition of the new school, revenue for the first quarter increased 74.0% year-over-year to $10.4 million. Net income decreased 76.1% year-over-year to $0.65. EPS decreased by $0.07 from $0.09 to $0.02. Although net income and EPS results don’t seem perfect, we believe they will recover and go higher as consummate acquisition should provide more opportunities and space
for CBLY to grow
Strong cash position with favorable conditions for future expansion.
The Company had cash and cash equivalents of $9.0 million as of November 30, 2011. CBLY enjoys high cash flow with limited exposure to cash collection risk due to the prepayment model and no accounts receivables. As prepayment of tuition fees for future
years comes with a discount, a significant portion of the Company’s customer base opts to prepay tuition fees a year or more in advance. In addition, a clause which nullifies refunds on prepaid fees after the first three months of a school year discourages student withdrawals and guarantees a lower rate of attrition.

CMED resumed trading today on the pinksheets as CMEDY .... it had been halted since 2/7/12.
It's a free board open to all, but my primary purpose was to have a reference board for my index, ChinaMicro100. Easier tracking.
My ..moving... just found your board ..researcher

AOB (0.70) announces 1 for 2 reverse split to maintain AMEX listing -
NEWARK, N.J., Feb. 21, 2012 /PRNewswire-Asia-FirstCall/ -- American Oriental Bioengineering, Inc. (NYSE: AOB) (the "Company") today announced that on January 31, 2012, its board of directors adopted resolutions approving a reverse stock split (the "Reverse Split") of the outstanding shares of the Company's common stock ("Common Stock") at a ratio of one (1) share for every two (2) shares outstanding, so that every two (2) outstanding shares of Common Stock before the Reverse Split shall represent one (1) share of Common Stock after the Reverse Split.
Pursuant to the Company's Amended Articles of Incorporation filed with the Nevada Secretary of State, the maximum number of shares of Common Stock that the Company is authorized to issue will also be reduced from 150,000,000 to 75,000,000. The Reverse Split will be effected without obtaining shareholder approval pursuant to Nevada law. The effective date of the Reverse Split with the Nevada Secretary of State is set for Friday, February 24, 2012. Accordingly, the New York Stock Exchange has set the effective date of the Reverse Split for Monday, February 27, 2012. The Reverse Split is part of the Company's strategy to maintain the listing of its shares on the New York Stock Exchange.
Currently, the Company has approximately 78,503,381 shares of Common Stock outstanding. After the Reverse Split, the Company would have approximately 39,251,867 shares outstanding. Each stockholder's percentage ownership interest in the Company and proportional voting power will remain unchanged after the Reverse Split except for minor changes and adjustments resulting from rounding of fractional interests. The rights and privileges of the holders of Common Stock shall be substantially unaffected by the Reverse Split.
GAME (3.93) paid a hefty $1.02 per share dividend. The ex-dividend and payment date was 1/23/12.

I'll put column headers in the next post for greater clarity.
Ah, now I see what you mean. I thought those were misplaced column headings. That's why it was confusing. So, in a sense, we're both correct.
I'm just saying that I was confused by the three column headings that you have listed...YTD, Price and Change. But, the numbers in your 3rd column are not the changes.....instead, it's the year starting date price. When I first looked at the numbers in the columns, I was wondering how you came up with those percentages because the "change" did not match the percentage increase/decrease. Then I figured it out eventually that it was the starting date price. I'm merely suggesting that you replace the word "change" with "Year Starting Price".
Anyway, take it for what it's worth. I really do appreciate those percentage changes. It's quite interesting. Thanks!!
That's a subject heading, not column headers -
The columns are
STOCK SYMBOL, YTD PRICE CHANGE %, CURRENT PRICE, YEAR STARTING PRICE (12/31/11)
Researcher, you have your columns labeled incorrectly. The 3rd column is not "Change"....the numbers you have listed there are the 12/30 prices.
ChinaMicro100 up 8.2% YTD .... a fantastic start to the year !

ChinaMicro100 Index Components for 2012 .... for the first time this year, OTCBB stocks are being excluded, primarily because of their illiquidity and the current abundance of listed microcaps due to severely depressed valuations. I'll be providing some statistics on these stocks in the coming days.

The ChinaMicro100 Index was down 67.9% for 2011. It was a disasterous year. The parade of losers was led by CCME, down a stunning 99.9% for the year, finishing on the pinksheets at a mere $0.02 per share ! The only good news was the 5 buyouts which were the only stocks that finished up for the year. Approximately 15 stocks were delisted and 3 stocks are currently halted.

2011 was a disasterous year for China Microcap and Smallcap stocks. An index of 100 stocks that I created at the beginning of the year, ChinaMicro100, fell a staggering 68% in 2011. Fraudulent financial reporting, delistings, SEC investigations, attacks from short sellers and auditor resignations caused a 2nd consecutive year of severe price declines in the stocks. It will be interesting to see what develops in 2012 for this niche of several 100 stocks.
My index, ChinaMicro100, is reconstituted annually. I will be releasing the preliminary 2012 list of stocks shortly.
