It was clearly stated in last week's 8-K that we shareholders would be given the shaft! Regardless of what happens in the courts now, we are toast.

If you read the plan of re-organization the New Alpha was to be formed solely for the purpose of meeting the environmental obligations with regard to clean up, etc. So whatever assets were to be retained in it would be just sufficient to generate the profits to meet these expenses.

News out today....certain assets transferred to Contura....Alpha emerges from Ch 11....what does that mean for shareholders...not very much...concerns about the cleanup mess will/could basically put us back into the red with a net of zero worth...my thoughts...anyone else.

Is our stock worthless now? Or will we still have stock in something, I know from doing research Alpha will become a private company after the bankruptcy. Sounds like they screwed us shareholders. Although, maybe one of the other companies involved in purchasing Alpha's assets might take over the common stock who knows. Anyone know? Obviously I am not gonna sell. would not even cover the commission fee of 9.99 lmao. Luckily I only have 45 bux invested or 2,000 shares when it was at .018 or something. I was hoping the common stock would be kept and Alpha remain a public company.

It is no big loss to me if it is worthless now. However, I am sure there are shareholders who lost a great deal of money, if our stock is now worthless.

Unfortunately only debtors will see some money. Our unsecured "equity" will not be worth a cent. And its very clear by now that our shares will be cancelled and not lead to any compensation in the form of the newly issued shares upon completion of the restructuring and emergence from bankruptsy

Possibly this means cancellation of all equity interest in the bankrupt company.
Where is the projected balance sheets of both the new company and the reorganized company?Hard to believe that actual equity is 0 in the reorganized company.

Hi, I am still here and holding everything I have purchased over the past 10 months from ANRZQ. I almost sold yesterday but the lack of specifics regarding shareholders made me hold tight. I think it was mostly post bk traders selling the past day or two. Big money has lost so much they will just hold and try to sue someone after delisting. If you lost 5, 10 ,20, 50 bucks a share over the past 5-6 years why would you dump suddenly over past couple of days? Especially with what we all know happened with anr management and the monthly statements post bk.........1.5 billion is shareholder equity the first few months post bk........I don't know what is going to happen but most big money that was going to sell sold late 2015 to offset gains for that years. That is partly why is started rising Jan 2 2016.

To be honest......I will need the big volume like this or more to sell out fast. I rolled the dice big and the dice haven't stopped rolling yet.

If i lose it won't change my life...........it i win i will buy my wife I new GT Mustang and if I win big I will pay off the house.

She has never forgiven me for trading in her GT Mustang for a mom car.

If you'd paid attention to bid and ask today, it looked manipulative, like dropping the bid to get you to sell, or raising ask beyond the prevailing price , etc. This can't have been the response of the MMs to institutional selling. It looked more like they were targeting retailers

sure it is not good. But why won't they disclose the details? any thoughts? in most BK situations they clearly state that the common will be wiped out or (rarely) given a small share. Nothing of that sort has happened here

Whether big money or not the drop like this with that volume....not good...we do not know the details but I bet they are not good for Alpha common shareholders

I'm not sure if it was big money that was bailing today. I watched the bid and ask intermittently and it appeared that it was fashioned towards retailers. Remember that retail bought big post BK with the expectation of a miracle. Remember all those posts by aceQ, time2time, etc that bought lots and lots? A big holder like an institution would simply dump and move on, but the bid kept dropping, but not the ask when then dumps were happening. this tells me that it was the retail.

We still don't know what the plan is for the commons. Because the BK submission said that the common holders would have no rights except the rights as disclosed in the plan, which has not been public.

Remember that Contura got the mines in exchange for the debt. And what is left is the debt free, but private Alpha, owned by unsecured debt. So what were the rights granted in the private Alpha to common that the BK statement refers to?
