.<font color=#006400> * Opening Link In New Window
If you want to post a remote link and have it open up in a new window, you need to do this:
[-url]www.###### (one space) target="_blank"[url-][-tag]Whatever[/tag-] (without dashes).
Place the " target="_blank" immediately in front of the[/url-] in the line of code, making sure to leave a space after the ###.com, and before tag.
Example For Active Opening In A New Window:
Code For The Above: [-url]http://www.onebgg.net/smilies/smilies-1.html target="_blank"[/url-][-tag][-chart]www.onebgg.net/smilies/onesmilie-sm.gif[/chart-][/tag-] (without the dashes)
This will enable the link to open in a new window, leaving your I-Hub window open.
Note: My tanks to Mr Nasdaq for turning me onto to this bit of info.
.<font color=#006400> * Stacking Images Side By Side
To stack images next to each other, Do Not put a space between them. If you omit the space between images you can stack as wide as you wish. However, it may stretch the post and not fit on the display screen, viewers may to will have to scroll from side to side. It has been my experience that this usually annoys people, so do not stack too many images in one row. JMO.
Example:
Sample Of Above Code: (No Dashes)
[-chart]www.onebgg.net/eaglesiggy-sm.jpg[/chart-][-chart]www.onebgg.net/eaglesiggy-sm.jpg[/chart-]
[-chart]www.onebgg.net/eaglesiggy-sm.jpg[/chart-] (without dashes)
Note: My thanks to my friend Phil (bullrider) for pointing out the need for this bit of info being included here.

Here on iH we do not currently have a break <BR> tool, or a centering <CENTER> tool. What we do have is a Preset Tool: [-pre][/pre-] (without dashes). You can use this tool (tag) and then use your space bar to move the image or text to where you want it to be located. This is a great charting tool for keeping things lined up, here is an example:
.<font color=#006400> * Posting Sounds:
Posting a sound is pretty much the same as posting images except you use the iH sound tool [-sound][/sound-].
To post a sound it must first be located on the web, most but not all sounds will ‘remote link’ to iH. To do so simply use the iH sound pasting tag: [-sound][/sound-] (without dashes).
Place your mouse or pointer over the audio source, for example in Media Player it is on the ‘Now Playing’ page in the ‘Playlist’ tag that’s green in color and located in the upper right hand corner,
Right Click over this the go to ‘properties’,
Copy the URL starting after the “http://” and beginning with the “www” (if it there is one”, if no "www", you still copy the url after the "HTTP://"
Place this between the [-sound] & [/sound-] (without dashes).
.<font color=#006400> * Linking To A Post:
There are two ways to hotlink (active link) to a post or board here on iH:
To link to a message here on iH or on SI you use the iH Message Linking Tool: #msg-######.
Go to the post you wish to link to,
Now copy the numbers at the end of the URL, and after the Equal Sign (=) located in the address bar or in properties,
Place these numbers after the dash in the Linking Tool as in this example: #msg-4573232.
Code: #msg-####.
.<font color=#006400> * Linking To A Board
To link to a board here on iH, use the iH Board Linking Tool: #board-######.
Go to the board you wish to link to,
Now copy the numbers at the end of the URL after the Equal sign (=) located in the address bar, or in properties,
Place these numbers after the dash in the linking tool as in this example: #board-423.
Code: #board-####.
.<font color=#006400> * Linking To The Web:
This one of the coolest features here on iH and that’s really saying a lot, as there are way cool features here on Da Hub!
Hot Linking or remote linking as it is usually referred to a site outside of iH:
This is easy to do but has one drawback that must be dealt with and remembered, this being that once you have posted the link in the I-box or post, the links and script will be broken (lost and scrambled) if you edit (open) it.
To avoid this I suggest copying the i-Box or post before you hit the Submit button. (I save a copy on MS Word).
Note: If you forget to copy the i-Box Do Not Panic, Just hit the back button in your browser and the script will be there. Hint, Copy it!
Hot Linking also known as an Active Link or Remote Linking here on iH is done with the following script: [-url][/url-][-tag][/tag-] (without dashes).
Copy the URL starting after the “http://” and beginning with the “www” (if it there is one”, either way, start the url after the "HTTP://"
Paste this link in between the [-url] & [url-] (without dashes).
Now place the text or image of what you want to link to in between the [-tag][/tag-] (without dashes) part of the hot link script. Here is an example:
This hot link is to My Wife’s Art Work.
The Above Code:
This hot link is to [-url]www.carolsartondisplay.com[/url-][-tag]My Wife’s Art Work[/tag-]. (without dashes).
Note: You can use a image in place of text in the active link by using the [-chart][/chart-] tags placed between the [-tag][/tag-].
.<font color=#006400> * Posting Images
To post an image it must first be located on the world-wide-web; most, but not all images will ‘remote link’ to iH, but not all. To post an image use the iH charting tool: [-chart]www… [chart-](without dashes).
Place your mouse or pointer over the image,
Right Click over the image and select ‘properties’,
Copy the URL starting after the “http://” and beginning with the “www” (if it there is one), if no there is no "www" start copying the url after the "HTTP://"
Place this url between the [-chart] & [/chart-] tags (without dashes).
If you would like to use your own image, or host the image yourself to insure that remote link doesn't stopped, you can upload and host your own images for free at:

.<font color=#006400> * Font Sizing
Note: This Works For Posts Only!
Fist I must tell you that the font size will only work for the first twenty-seven characters, and the HMTL (hyper text mark up language) will be apparent when the post is opened and read.
Font Sizing Instructions:
There must be at least one character before the HMTL code is used, I usually use an asterisk.
Submit the post with the code and then click on the “Edit” button; now click on the “submit” button to ‘Turn On’ the font code.
Font Size Code Example: <font size=5>
To End Size Code: </font>
.<font color=#006400> * Font Colors
Note: This Works For Posts Only!
Fist I must tell you that the font color will only appear in the first twenty-seven characters, and the HMTL (hyper text mark up language) will be apparent when the post is opened and read.
Font Color Instructions:
There must be a "period" before the Font Tag code.
Submit the post with the code and then click on the “Edit” button; now click on the “submit” button to ‘Turn On’ the font code.
There are many colors in the word of HTML, but only a few will work here, and they may not always be the same color as in standard HMTL. Proper color names as well as most hexadecimal codes can be used, but the again, the colors may vary.
Font Color Code Example: <font color=red>
To End Color: </font>
Here are some colors that I know will work here:
First I must tell you that the font color will only appear in the first twenty seven characters, and the HMTL (hyper text mark up language) will be apparent when the post is opened and read.

.<font color=#8a2be2>* Announcement: I will try to get this board corrected and updated soon. I have been meaning do so ever since admin' changed the color font tools; right now I'm buried in homework.
However, all of the tools still work the same, it's is only the color font tool that has been changed.
Thanks...if that's as good as I can get I'll take it. And I'll check out the Fun board too.
Laptoptrader,
It is the same as embedding sound any place else, get a song that plays on the internet, or host your own from a website. Place the tune's URL starting after the "HTTP://" in between [-sound][/sound-] (without dashes) in the i-box.
This will allow the tune to play while the info box is open, but will turn off the minute they hit "Hide Board Info," or open message. I’m afraid this is the best you do for what you want. If you would like to see it in action, please check out the i-box I created for the FUN board: #board-1654.
FUN FAN,
Gary
Having lots of fun with this stuff onebgg but still don't know how to embed a song into my board that plays all the time that someone is there.
Do you know how to do that?
TIA
Ahh HA! Thanks onebgg.
:>D
Hi Laptoptrader,
After you have created the image, you must upload the image to you computer, and then you have to store it at some kind of hosting service that allows remote linking; then you can use the image without it disappearing.
For storage and remote linking, I suggest this great free service: http://photobucket.com
ONEBGG...I really appreciate the time you've put into this site and it's helped me a lot already, but I have a question for ya if you have a little time.
I went to the sites you suggested for doing fun "text/banner" things, and I got them to work just fine...for a while. Unfortunately, the "banners" I've created and imported to my sites only last for a matter of hours and then disappear.
I even downloaded one to their gif website thinking that that would preserve it and make it "play" continuously but even that one disaappeard after just a short time.
Can you give me a hint how I can create an interesting banner with large/colored/3D/animation that will last?

"No, as I stated in the posts concerning color fonts, they only work in the opening line of a post, and then only for the first twenty-seven characters. You say you want a bigger font; have you have considered using one of the free text generators and using the image? Here are some great freebies that I use quite frequently:
3DtTextMaker
CoolText.com
FlamingText.com"

TIA
LTT
I only know because I read the Q&A board.
I noticed.. Glad we were given the heads-up too, otherwise we'd all have to be writing TESTS for ourselves.. Doh!
Asus, iH removed our color tools.
