Sonet, maybe Samsung being a much more honorable company sees the LG rate 3G rate as being fair and reasonable as rquired by the standards boards. And therefore they an eat the 2 G rate without all the drama of the Fins.
I would imagine the only concession IDCC could give to Samsung without triggering NOK's MFL clause would be the prepayment discount for 2006 2G. That way, if NOK really wanted to cease its efforts to overturn the ICC award, it could try conceding the issue to IDCC and asking for the prepayment discount. Of course, I would not expect IDCC to accept any such offer without NOK agreeing to cease all worldwide litigation.
