You seem to be living in cloud Cuckoo land. try reading what he actually said.
1. He states "he HELPED guide", not exactly a wonderful endorsement of his years of leadership and remuneration overpayment.
2. he makes no mention of the last 6 years, kind a strange omission, or deliberate, ie he has been useless as a leader.
3. been very well compensated, any sane person can read that this means he has been paid far more than he deserved.
4. he states that the new leader will bring to the table
" a rolodex as thick as a phone book", that clearly states that HC knows no one of importance in the industry and is generally regarded as a person one does not get on with.
he states the new leader will have extensive industry experience, clearly he does not see a part time shirt cleaner as a person that should be the COB of this company.
he suggests that the new COB should have an engineering background, clearly he is stating that a dry cleaner is not currently suitable for the position he holds.
he wants a person with instant credibility, clearly harry has none.
Anyone with any grey matter would take TC observations and words as get rid of the dead weight and bring in someone that will guide the company into the future.
