Did they actually throw in the towel, or just put it into the laundry to wash out some tax savings?

Time will tell. Until then, we might expect some interesting and volitle retail trading.

Mirror, mirror, on the wall, who's the fastest flipper of all?

It amazes me the lengths shorters will go to in an attempt to lower share price. I think the longs will win this one though. JMO

Look at the wording here, SA is a wolf for this, can't stand it, because I know very well the nuances that affect people's mind sets:

"J.C. Penney (JCP) is seeing more institutional investors throw in the towel with shares in a prolonged downward spiral. according to new SEC filings."

Notice how the put " shares in a prolonged downward spiral" WHICH IS AN SA OPINION, right before " according to new SEC filings"

That's what irks me , because the facts get muddled with their opine.

The facts are that's some funds sold sone holdings , the wording is " throw in the towel" , " downward spiral"

You think if facts were new institutional buyers they would write " as JCP shares rise significantly more funds want a piece of the profits to come. According to SEC filings" ?

Hell no they wouldn't! Wonder if they are still short???? Hmmmm

Jeez.

Are these even the same funds that just bought though?
