Good question. Here are some recent news on a dog virus, the Circovirus.

Experts close in on dog virus; veterinarians say 'don't panic'

A mysterious, new canine virus that has popped up in various regions of Ohio is putting area dog owners on high alert. But veterinarians are cautioning them not to panic.

The canine virus has sickened eight dogs in Ohio since mid-August, killing four of them. The first four cases cropped up in Norwood, north of Cincinnati, where three of the dogs died after being kept at the same boarding facility.

A week later, four more dogs came down with the illness near Canal Fulton, between Akron and Canton, killing one.

"We are agnostic to the host...we don't care if you are a man, a mouse, a whale or a salamander, as long as you have a virus in your system, we destroy it."~ Dr. Eugene Seymour, CEO NanoViricides, Inc.

Could that be a surprise, on the positive side, coming in the near future?

Good question. Most strains of influenza don't infect cats or dogs, but they certainly infect birds. If vets reported that chickens were protected from flu infections by Flucide that would greatly increase the credibility of NNVC to investors and would provide real evidence that Flucide is agnostic about the host.

Very good question. I asked myself this same question several years ago. The veterinary market, provided the Cides really work as advertised, could be a low hanging fruit yielding easy money and helping the company grow and get some credibility without using a lot of external and dilutive financing as is currently the case.

This discussion came up a few years ago and, if I remember correctly, the downside was the perceived negative connotation of "animal drugs" being accepted as a solution for humans. IMO this are rather senseless aesthetics, but nonetheless, real enough to be of concern.

I am open to correction if my recollection is inaccurate.
