In addition would be nearly impossible to do a study to show Vascepa is as good as Vascepa and statins as everyone in the risk profile that would be the profile showing the most chance of change is on statins. It's possible a long term preventative study could be done on Vascepa in a healthier population but nine is happening now and it would be a very long study, so whether there is an chance is rather moot, statins are here to stay.
Unless dual dosages of Vascepa were more effective in prolonging your life, you can't say that they aren't, and Vascepa certainly won't harm you as statins can.
