statins + vascepa if i remember correctly have acted synergystically (therefore improving the positive effects of each other).

Statins are extremely good at lowering cholesterol and are extremely important medicines (having been proven to lower cv events)

no dr in there right mind will completely stop the use of statins without some sort of evidence of it being a hazard...
Plus they are extremely cheap and therefore the cost to healthcare is reduced..this would be severely increased if patients were all switched to dual doses of vascepa
