Just1, not quite fair. yes, Mark has blown the timeline on WS, and did say it would be done by end of 2011, and more recently by May 2013 (targeting Cannes and prior film markets, eg: AFM).
so true, that Mark's predictions on scheduling can't be trusted.
that said, remember:
1. Filmworks is doing White Space visual effects as a background project at cost, with their third-party paying client work taking priority. as a freelance developer, myself, i know i often only get a few hours a week (sometimes month) for background projects. and it's very difficult to predict how much time any creative project will really take, especially a labor of love.
