Does everyone who has bought Windows 8 have problems? So far everyone I know who has it has had issues.

Hmmm, I don't have and have never used Windows 8 so I don't know. Have you used Malwarebytes on it before with no issue. See if there is anything in the event log that says why it shut down. It sure sounds like it's over heating.
