Well got ASUS i5 with Windows 8 back from manufacturer and they claimed to have replaced hd even though Best Buy said it was fine before sending it. All was fine for a week so I thought that I could finally enjoy my new computer. I even got a new license key for ASC6 Pro. After checking malawarebyte version late last night the computer suddenly shut down.

I was not too surprised as it seemed to be churning away needlessly after having been on sleep mode for a few hours.

When I went to shut it down via the POWER icon in the "charms" the computer just froze and would not shut down. I had to do it manually with the power button. I remember when I last brought the computer in that it had frozen when I had tried to shut it down (I always use sleep mode so never noticed till now that this option was screwy.)

Is this a Win8 issue or a hardware issue? Please let me know what you think as I am ready to bring it back again to Best Buy but before that I intend to contact ASUS on chat mode and would like to have your ideas on this issue before I address them with it.

Thanks and sorry t be such a pain with this frustrating POS
