Totally agree with you, Spring. Religion and science are not compatible - the former relies on faith, mysticism and the supernatural, and the latter on evidence, objectivity and observable phenomena.

And as for teaching religion in public schools - I agree with you, too. There are parochial schools for this job. Besides, in public schools - if one were to teach religion, one would have to give equal time for ALL of them ... and why not, as that's only fair? ... and that would not leave any time for anything else!

As far as Robertson getting tax breaks, I wonder if he also is one of the recipients of direct tax dollars through Bush's faith-based initiatives.

Is there any doubt? Any politician that aligns himself with a pig like Robertson is a low life

Agreed...that is what I said...

Personally I believe any "origin of life belief" should be left out of the schools and discussed at the home....as both are religious views.
