Island there's nothing fishy ...Brent carries 16% and Frank Diegmann carries 13% of the total share vote. So collectively they only have approximately 30% of the strength to make things happen and they have obviously flexed along with other shareholders and made some desired changes that they see as a good fit moving forward. These new directors will soon have their feet to the fire and their actions or non-actions can be voted on again next year.
I understand your frustration and how you feel with your share and strength behind those shares to make a differences ...Let me put it this way. A number of individuals today were added to the nomination procedure...now I know you can be nominated from the floor but what kind of support can you garner at that point. I feel that anyone wanting to let their name stand (with nominator), should do so prior to the AGM notice going out and that the company should put out a prior notice of such and then place them on the ballot, unlike what we received this year with only Brent, Tom and Jack on the docket. No other choices were available and therefore most likely filled in those three or used a proxy to officiate their vote.
The process doesn't give the other 70% of shareholders a chance to collectively make a difference...if they could see who these folks are then at least they could vote one in ...I just got a voting notice for our local cable company ...pictures and a write up of each and every candidate ...you can then make some kind of decision based on that info. Anyway that's my take on it.
