Isn't Barrick hedging their bets with that wildly general statement! So, if new information were to arise, such as a former employee being criminally charged for fraud regards Pascua, then maybe these proceedings would be material to ABX.

And the rest "none of these actions or complaints is believed to present a significant risk to the construction of the Pascua-Lama project".
Notice how they don't say "mine" they say "project". There's a world of difference between a mine and a project. I could build a property for a lifetime without ever building a house.

You gotta love the law and our regulatory filing regime; use words to cloud rather than clarify.

Of course this was December 2011 and a lot of water has passed under the bridge ...but my gut feeling is that Barrick is in an even worst position than when these SEC filings where done and they need an out ...
