Sounds like Via is going after the consumer market. With a proprietary technology. Sounds like Microsoft's tactics in the early days of computing. And everyone wrote them off (journalists) and said they couldn't compete in the enterprise market. But then, when everybody who worked in an enterprise was familiar with their software and used it, it became a de facto standard.
