I don't think a 3G arbitration would take that long. I think the 2G arbitration was delayed because of the wait for a decision from Judge Lynn. I think normally one can expect a year for an arbitration decision and another year to enforce the decision if necessary.

Keep in mind: The G.D. contract; recent event with Siemens; expectations that IDCC will bear 3G Twins in the next 30 days; good signs with JPO/Matsushita.
I'd be delighted if IDCC signed SNE/Ericy, even if Nokia said "Play it again, Sam."
For example lets say we get SNE signed for 3G tomorrow, which would trigger NOK's 3G rates. Can they once again ask for arbitration? If so were looking at another 2-3 years more in court.
Yes (IMHO), but Nokia could gage the cost from their 2G arbitration experience with IDCC rather than make the same mistakes for a second time.
