Question..Should IDCC license Ericsson, Lucent or Samsung for 3G..What issues could Nokia raise in Arbitration ..that is left to be settled? Since 2G Arbitration has already removed the issue of Patents and invalidity, and removed the Ambiguity of the definition of MCLAs,and established S/E as a valid Major competitor for 2G and 3G and since Nokia does not enjoy the same 35% market share in 3G as they did in 2G..so they should pay the same rate as the above 3G triggers..Can you share with us what other issues would remain open to resolve? TIA

I don't think a 3G arbitration would take that long. I think the 2G arbitration was delayed because of the wait for a decision from Judge Lynn. I think normally one can expect a year for an arbitration decision and another year to enforce the decision if necessary.
