I have a hard time believing that the actual time it takes to take attendance will make much difference in teaching time. I do think the idea of monitoring students at the higher levels who leave early is possible. I think it is a great back up to taking attendence, especially in the lower education levels.

I also think that if the company shows a 2 million dollar loss that it will have a very negative effect on pps. Just about everything that gets posted is in a positive lite. This actual negative news would be a show stopper for the immediate future.

The way the student connect system would work I think is like this. Kids wear a school ID with an rfid chip in them while in the building. When they enter there classroom the id is automatically tagged walking through the door into them room and showing what time the student arrived all logged in the computer system. If a student attempts to leave the school during the day his tag would set off an alert walking through an exit of the school instantly alerting school admins that student is trying to leave the building. This would eliminate the need for teachers to take attendance as the student walking past the censors in the door with his chip on him would count his attendance. My high school already used a computerized attendance system this is just the next step so teachers don't have to put it into the computer manually.
