I received a similar response from Atrade after month/years of "go pound sand". We'll see if anything comes of this...

Looks like you have their attention. Now the question is will they be buying the shares they are short or will they be going to lots more courts? Thanks for sharing I have forwarded your post to my broker (non Etrade) which will perhaps stimulate the reorg department to buy the shares they are short while they still can. Go BCIT!!!

once proper arrangements have been finalized between the transfer agent for BCIT and the Depository Trust Company (DTCC)

so what... etrade just threw it back to the dtcc. last i read the dtcc still doesn't acknowledge bcit has a ta. you're just getting the same shuffle different year.

Etrade may see the writing on the wall - if word gets out too much about this court case in California, Etrade will have a nightmare on their hands. if people holding all kinds of stocks with Etrade just started demanding real certs, they would probably end up folding.

I would guess, let's say, of all the pinksheet/otc stocks that Etrade holds in street name for its clients, there are probably hundreds of stocks they 'hold' that are just IOU's at the DTC.

Just spoke with my broker who I forwarded your post to on the phone. He has forwarded it with a note to the reorg department pointing out the transfer agent info and that there is/was an opportunity to purchase any shares the firm is short. He will get back to me when he knows more. Go BCIT!!!
