Investorman, this is a difficult problem. The rest of the world perceives us as being arrogant and as acting as if we had inherited the universe. Did we have the right to be in the international air space off the Chines coast? Of course we did. Did we have the right to land in China? Yes, since there was an emergency. Would a good citizen of the world apologize for intruding into somebody elses airspace, for what ever reason? I think so.

Investorman: Those were my thoughts exactly !! I don't think that the BIG gaudy "spy plane" chased after those poor innocent Migs !! There have also been some reports that the pilot who lost his life, was a bit on the "aggressive side". Not that I believe everything I read, but it does seem more realistic that the Migs were playing games, and one of them got caught... JMHO, what do I know ?? Hoping for a peaceful settlement SOON.!! I want to see some GREEN in my portfolio tomorrow !!! Dang it, tired of the red.......Deb
