I have witnessed several occasions where cyber-stalkers are being awarded moderator positions before posters who are providing due diligence and other viable and useful information to the board!! They then delete IBOX's remove the most important stickies ie. news/filings

Absolutely agree with this, have been seeing this and it really is getting ridiculous.

Why can't there be a visible link on each Board showing posters waiting in the Q for a Moderator position?
That is very transparent and seems fair to me.

I hadn't run into many problems with the new system until the other day when a paid promotion began in earnest on one of the stocks whose board I mod.

All of a sudden I have all these new mods "helping" me.

First, they deleted all the stickies.

Then, they replaced them.

Then, when I put up ONE sticky, it was removed and replaced with another.

Then, it was done a second time!

Oh, did I tell you that the new mods "helping" me are all paid IRPs?

Now, if they'd only learn how to delete posts, because I'm getting NO help there.

Yes, the system certainly could use a little tweaking, I agree.

The tweak I'd make would be to reduce the number of mods to 4. And allow each one to place one sticky.

Actually one of the new requirements to even be considered for a co-moderator spot was that the IHUB member seeking appointment was to have a pretty clean file with Admin and not have a file that might contain items such as these...

- been put in IHUB jail several times for TOU infractions
- ever been banned from boards
- ever been removed from a board as Mod
- consistently applies the TOU and does not have a high ratio of restores
- does not have a high ratio of their own posts deleted because of TOU violations on boards they have moderated during their tenure on IHUB.

Wouldn't you agree that is the criteria Admin should consider first and more important and would naturally make co-existing with other moderators easier ?

And wouldn't you agree that it is a very good reason why some IHUB members might not get appointed to new Mod positions even though they have applied ?

All hypothetically of course.

New Mod Roles good for testing our patience & Blood Pressure .. LMAO

They really do need to fix these new MOD roles with Limits, because it fixed one problem or they found a solution to make it easier for them, but it created several other problems, like STICKY / IBOX WARS between Mods, in the end the good or unbiased mods gets tired of the BS and resigns or stays mute, then the boards gets filled with misleading/manipulated info.

so if BALANCE was their INTENTIONS, they will need to tweak or set limits if not the ABUSE will only get worse... IMO

Favorite Admin Quote "We don't get involved with the " " sticky notes. " " the Mods will have to figure out/fight about."

Users who incite board wars, stalk or intentionally antagonize other Users/entire boards or generally act disrupt the community should not anticipate being granted moderator positions. The purpose of moderators is to promote the civil exchange of on-topic dialog that complies with the Investors Hub Terms of Service

Moderators are going to have to work as a team for any iBox changes or sticky notes. Admin will still not be getting involved in these disputes of User generated content except in the case of TOS violations. We will be supportive of teams working together to resolve any challenges.
