Call me old fashioned,but this is precisely the reason I deal with "traditional"brokers:Morgan Stanley in the USA and Renta 4 in Spain....I know I pay higher commissions but I know if a problem arises,I know my broker on a first name basis and:"I know where he lives"!!!!!

opx sucks... they are bunch of clueless people...yeah, they told me they don't handle bankrupt issues and sent out ballots...WTF?

I contacted kcc and they said they're in contact w/ Charles Schwab which recently bought Optionxspress-NOW OWNS OXP will contact OXP TO HAVE IT UP TO SPEED...HE ALSO SAID GIVES IT COUPLE DAYS...AND if any problem arises, let him know...

SO, I GUESS I'LL WAIT FOR COUPLE MORE THAN UNTIL NEXT WEEK THEN...

MAYBE YOU SHOULD CALL OXP , ASK THEM ABOUT TRANSFER YOUR SHARES OF WAMU TO charles schwab since they have local branch that makes it easy to deliver your ballots in person at the local branch...I'm still waiting for them to get back to me about the transfer... my CS'S account shows 2 accounts 1 w/ CS AND 1 W/ opx...

HERE YOU GO---A RESPONSE REG SHARES TRANSFER TO CHARLES SCHWAB FROM OPTIONSXPRESS: I EMAILED MY INFO AND REQUESTED A TRANSFER OF WAMKQ,WAMUQ SHARES TO OX THIS EVENING---B/C I DON'T TRUST OX AND ALSO THEY NEVER HAVE DEALT WITH THE BALLOTS-IT'S SAFE TO DO W/ CS B/C THEY ARE AWARE OF THE BALLOTS AND READY TO DEAL W/ THEM... THEIR SERVICE'S ALSO FAST BY EMAIL!!

They can not be faxed, emailed, photocopied or delivered to any other address than the one below. Send the signed, completed original ballots only to this address.

Do not request the transfer at the branch. The shares will probably not get to Schwab in time. The fastest and perhaps only way to get the shares over to us in time is to contact OX and ask them to use the DTC system to deposit the shares to your Schwab account.

ME: my question is that OX will send out the ballots to me right?

Tatiana: No. These will be posted within the account under the account tab and then positions link. You then will see these under the shareholder services tab.

ME: it means i'll cast my votes online?

ME: how come i got instructed by kcclcc that my broker are supposed to send out voting ballots for shareholders to complete and sign? and i have a new account w/ charles schwab , thay said the same thing?

Tatiana: With optionsXpress these are usually accessible online rather than being sent out via mail.

ME: so OX WILL prepare the master votes and send them in to kccllc, right?

Tatiana: Correct, we then submit the votes on our account holders behalf

ME: i understand Charles Schwab owns OX, HOW COME THE VOTING PROCEDURE REGARDING WASHINGTON MUTUAL ARE DIFFRENT?

Tatiana: OptionsXpress is ownded by Charles Schwab, however we are still two independent brokerages

Tatiana: And operate differently, there is a variety of features we offer or products that Schwab does not.

ME: WHEN DO I EXPECT TO SEE THE POSTING REGARDING THE VOTING...AND WHEN IS THE DEADLINE FOR ME TO VOTE AND SEND BACK TO YOU?

Tatiana: As I mentioned it might be by Monday, however could be throughout the end of the week as well, unfortunately I do not have the details as to when the vote has to be done by yet
