Caramba -- unfortunately, even the EC says there is no other option. Your Broker must give/accept your ballot, and put your shares into the Contra-CUSIP account based on your voting {specifically for the releases}

There is no alternative.

So, the EC says that the broker MUST contact KCCLLC. I've suggested to others that they arrange a three-way conference call between the broker and KCCLLC if needed.

The bottom line is, I appreciate your frustration. But the reality is, there is no alternative but what has been stated.

I do not want to see people "hurt" by this, because they didn't vote or release properly.

But there is no way to avoid not having your broker involved.

I suggest you go to your bank/broker office and plant yourself in a chair by the Director's office and state you won't leave until they satisfy your complaint????Go with whatever you have printed out from KCCLLC.......

Caramba my only suggestion is to open an Etrade account and transfer the shares. This should take only a few days. You still have time, remember the deadline to give releases is Feb 29 (you should act probably no later than Feb 20, safely) so the situation is not desperate yet.
