Thanks,

Nok seems to be determined to butt heads with IDCC every step of the way.

I am very excited about the results and the call on Tuesday morning. I expect the Samy 2g, Panasonic and sony/ericy 3g things will miraculously get resolved in the coming weeks. Nok on the other hand will go down kicking and crying till the last minute and we should prepare for that.

We should remember that the actual award just received for 02-06 appears to be less than expected for the shorter period of 02-04 that many of the analysts have incorporated into reports. So I am cautious about the pending analysts actions.

We are clearly on our way but we should expect some bumps along the way. The biggest bump has just been taken out. We must stay strong as a group and not over-react to these bumps as we have in the past.

My buddy teecee talked me into buying IDCC 5 years ago and for the most part I have felt foolish for putting a couple hundred large at risk on what I soon considered a mutt of a company. But I perservered through the years, wanting to sell but being unable to pull the trigger........and I now thank god for that as the good ole proverbial train pulls out of the station.

Good luck all!

Thanks: I don't think NOK achieved anything by not negotiating a 3G rate.

I think NOK would be smart to establish a 3g rate with InterDigital on its own terms rather than have its 3g rate be triggered by Ericsson or someon else.

It will be interesting to hear if there is a difference in 'tone' of WM comments on Tuesday regarding Ericsson compared to NOK.

I am content to let the 3G trigger provisions of the 1999 PLA run their course, even if it means another arbitration for 3g with Nokia. I think the company will have the same attitude.
