#215589 RE: goin fishn #215586

Hi goin,

Not quite.

I don't think Wave is necessarily the key piece of this puzzle. The argument in this space occurs over the control of the customer relationship - and surrounding that, of the transaction flow. Lots of folks want it. Not everyone can have it.

To the extent Wave becomes embroiled in that battle, it isn't so much about technological capability as the politics of the market. Where their survival is in play, incumbents will not relinquish customer control to one another, let alone to an innovator.

I think these arguments will likely lead to further delays in the adoption of the NFC technology.

Now maybe, as I think awk is claiming, the trusted execution environment levels this playing field and can somehow be inserted into the market without the telcos or others objecting. Or perhaps while the big guys fight amongst themselves, Wave will sneak in with its Trust Assurance Network and steal the customer relationship from under everyone's noses via Trustzone. Or perhaps the TEE and Wave help resolve the argument for everyone. I'm not sure. So I'll have to do some reading and some thinking.
