The court is responding to written and established law as well as the judge's personal intuition on the meaning of the law. imo
That leaves out the influences inferred in many posts.
There is a social and economic climate that is different than 3 years ago but even that is subject to perception, personal values, personal language meaning and understanding.
The BK process, on the other hand, is rather non political by nature.
