Perhaps WSJ article satisfies Rosen's settlement condition that the EC would provide their own further comments about "No wrongdoing by the hedge funds was proved by the investigation..."??? After all, Edgar Sargent, a lawyer representing Washington Mutual's shareholder committee is quoted in the article and it's "no Hedge Fund fault" message is being read throughout the financial industry by this article's publication... Reaching many more readers than a court filing would...

OR must the EC make an official "no Hedge Fund fault" statement in a court filing exonerating the Hedge Funds from any insider trading allegations to satisfy settlement conditions for "certain parties"???
