I think some of the reluctance, for those on the sidelines, has been cast release. He implied in several PRs that we would hear names before shooting. Ryan tweeted the other day that he was watching auddition tapes for the last role (I am assuming he meant for WhiteSpace). They probably can't release any names until they are all locked in, so maybe in the next couple of days?

Agreed that a few long-term holders with a decent chunk of the float would help. Seems likely the Filmworks folks are insiders, given their partnership with MIKP over the past year.

And I'm guessing others in the Ft Wayne ring are wary due both to MIKP's track record with concerts/MMA, and the EESO implosion.

Feels like the engine is finally firing on all cylinders, but deep pocket folks may be waiting for more confirmation before risking large sums.

Regardless, I'm happy to see the filming happen, and fairly confident this gamble will finally pay off in 2012 when the film hits theaters. (Assuming Mark doesn't dilute us to oblivion again...)

We might get a nearer term rally if Mark does a promo. But given the lack of buying response to the blog posts of active production, I'm guessing a finished film in the can won't stir much enthusiasm unless there's a good promo push.
