An interesting scenario you present...makes a lot of sense, but I'm ultimately choosing not to belive it wholly. Just a personal choice, as I said $$$ makes people do odd things, and we all want more of it! I'd like to believe TS is a little more ethical than that, but I've never met the man, and to judge him I'd have to play a round of golf with him--I truly believe that golf brings out one's true traits!
Many of us have his insight to thank for discovering MOBL and NEOM. If he is playing games, so be it--it's all part of the package now.
As far as getting other brokers involved: My account is with TD Waterhouse, completely self directed. As Pres of my company, I get calls from NY brokers daily looking for my business. Those that seem intelligent enough to leave their "scripts" start asking real questions re what I'm into and why. I mention MOBL and NEOM--invariably they've never heard of them. Talk them up a bit and leave them to their own devices! If their house doesn't allow them to hype them, maybe they'll at least buy some for their owm accounts and look like real stock pickin' gurus in a year!!! Then I tell them to get lost....
