aussie, just because it is written down, even by someone who managed to get a book published, does not make it law.

Sorry, still just one man's opinion, or maybe two's because you believe everything you read.

Just because people don't agree with you doesn't mean you need to get on your high horse and act like they are a bunch of dummies. Of course, I actually think that you think they are, because you have proven over and over that you think you are smarter than everyone else. Never proved it, just stated it, in your own friendly and loving way.

I am going to add this with the edit feature.

The market is what it is, not right, not wrong, just what it is.

In logic, a tautology is a statement which is true by its own definition, and is therefore fundamentally uninformative. Logical tautologies use circular reasoning within an argument or statement. In linguistics, a tautology is a redundancy due to superfluous qualification. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/tautology.

Your authors would have better served to have said, "Don't fight the trend". What they did say, as quoted in your post, was preachy and illustrative of the logical error described above.
