Are you saying that you would be surprised if they announced on Tuesday that they had agreed to a merger on Monday but wouldn't say with whom? Even though they kind of suggested that that was the plan?

This way, even if they don't announce a merger doesn't mean that there wasn't one. Either way, we get a surprise!
