I think sometimes it is easy to forget(me included) that Sanswire One is a test vehicle. It will be launched multiple times with different payloads and equipment over a 60 day period. The results of these tests are crucial to the production of the full scale Strat. With results in hand the engineers and technicians will apply their knowledge to any and all quirks or problems. For the design and launch of a predicted 18 month stint with the full scale strat will be quite an undertaking to say the least, it has not been done before...jmo..rock

AS a Flight Test Engineer, it was my responsibility to launch, from a C130, a unmanned Drone. Behind that there were no less than 50 people involved with the testing of Engine performance, electonics, guidance, weather, flight schedule retrieval location. They are all doing their paart on getting this in the air and making it a success.
