Quilix, Lourie actually was the author of the TiVo decision, but Mayer did side with him (on the side of TiVo the patent owner). I had mistakenly remembered that Mayer was the author.
One thing I will point everyone to is the fact that I commented on this three judge panel as soon as it was announced and said it was an excellent panel for TiVo.
