#202444 RE: go-kitesurf #202441

go-kite..would u tell us how u really feel?

i understand how u must feel. Hey look, they just hired a

new National Manager of Sales who will just focus on sales and

coordinate/oversee all the different sales groups. Clearly,

Berger couldn't focus because he had too many things going on.

OK...so, they just hired a new Manager of Federal Sales who came

over from Booz Allen Hamilton. He was a Senior Consultant over at

Booz Allen for many many years and so he knows the ropes.

Look buddy....all of us here want things done Faster!! We all

understand your frustrations and desires. But, it is going to get

done at the speed that WAVX can manage it since they are still

a fledgling company even after all these years.

I know this post probably won't satisfy your expectations or

desires. Probably not even close.

But it is what it is and none of us posters here are going to be

able to do anything about it because we don't have the voting

power to change it, or at least apparently so anyway.

so, my advice is just to sit back and hope for the best.

In sum:

It remains hard to separate the wheat from the chaff.

1. The incremental growth story is what we're seeing in the numbers as they are released. This suggests a company that is gradually increasing its income, but not in leaps and bounds (except in the isolated auto company case).

2. The unsafe harbour is filled with forward-looking speculations and creates a quite different set of expectations. Gigantic things may happen at any time.

3. A cautious person should take the commentary with a bushel of salt. Why? Because in the past, the mismatch between the numbers and the harbour has almost always operated in favour of the former.

4. It is not unreasonable for those local folks who wish to, to speculate.

5. But in the argument between cautious folks looking at the reliability of the commentary, and speculators willing to float their theories alongside the puffery of the unsafe harbour (a condition that I believe was conceded by a couple of notable defendants in court), the latter group must surely bear the burden of proof.

6. I sure would like it if the unsafe harbour became a bit safer. I understand that isn't everyone's view.

GK,

When SKS speaks of "opportunity" it is time to run for the hills. Yes, opportunity is ubiquitous and anything is possible .... say a meteorite slightly resembling my face hitting my house as I drink my tea and eat my crumpet (OK, maybe not the crumpet part - that is a little far fetched even by SKS standards).

And yes, I am still optimistic on Wave also. On a 5x5, 3.5 probability with 4.5 impact.

We know the government has been trying to develop its approach/architecture for a long time. It sounds like SKS is saying that the government is now planning to manage its millions of TPMs centrally through the internet/cloud as a SaaS operation rather than department by department.

So in the cc the questioner said, “Steven, you also mentioned I think in your opening remarks about a possible five million seat opportunity, I guess five million machines for the government to possibly be turning on. Do you think Wave is in a position to manage five million machines? And can you just elaborate a little bit more on that statement?”

Sometimes people don’t hear the whole question, or they answer part of a question, or they misinterpret the question. In other words, possibly SKS was saying, “It is doable, like running a small Telco.” Not, “Wave will do it.” Possibly one of the systems integrators or the government itself will run the central management of these millions of seats, not Wave. Wave will simply supply – and must now develop – the SaaS version of ERAS, and it must be robust enough to manage 5+ million seats.
