Endavo Begins `Healthy` Expansion Into Sarasota; High-Profile Kanaya Condominiums Project to Feature Full Range of Endavo-Powered Services

March 09, 2005 09:10:01 (ET)

SALT LAKE CITY, Mar 09, 2005 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- Endavo Media and Communications, Inc. (EDVO, Trade) today announced that its full range of IP-based service offerings will be made available to residents of the Kanaya condominium development in Sarasota, Florida.

The Kanaya residential project broke ground in January and will be completed in April 2006. The community will be connected locally to Endavo's Tampa data center in order to access a digital marketplace of entertainment, data and voice services, distributed through the Endavo EcoSystem.

"We are very proud to announce that the Kanaya condominium complex will be an Endavo Enabled Community," said Endavo CEO Paul Hamm. "This underscores the need for the Endavo model - facilitating the delivery of a broad range of IP-based services to broadband communities around the country - and establishes a new reference base for us in a high-growth local broadband market."

Kanaya condominiums, valued as high as $1.65 million per unit, are the vision of Acupuncture Specialist Dr. Harvey Kaltsas and are designed to support healthy living through an intelligent balance of feng shui principles and healthy "EcoSmart" building techniques. Dr. Kaltsas broke ground on the 35-unit development in January at 505 S. Orange Ave. and construction is now underway.

"We are in the information age. The residents of Kanaya condominiums will demand best-in-breed voice, data and video services, and Endavo is the only company able to provide an entire marketplace from a single source," Kaltsas said. "Our buyers appreciate the diverse basic and premium service offerings, as well as the choice and control."

Wildman, RE: TVTonic news today...

http://www.wave.com/news/press_archive/05/050310_WXP.html

To view the delivered content, subscribers download a small software program via their broadband Internet connection. Each day, week, or month, they receive videos that are specific to the on-demand ‘channels’ of content the end-user subscribed too.

Let's face it, this is a Todito-type deal. But, lets not forget:

1) Spanish speaking people are globally the most numerous
2) Each deal like this increases Wave's subscriber base which gives them more leverage.
3) Todito might be going well, which is why this happened.

So I welcome this. I'd rather have these guys than NOTHING. This is a new model for content providers. Secondly, anyone in this game already wants to try and go it themselves. So WaveXpress' best customers right now are providers with limited and lean resources that do not have the expertise or the money do develop their own solution. At least they are still active.
